OMG Shezz, ur poor friend.
Yikes Kar, ouch for your mum, what a trouper.
Yes, inductions REALLY SUCK/hurt (see my birth story), my rels did their births natural, but i had the works for the pain & i think i have a reasonably high pain threshold. Everyone I know who's had one says the same thing. Sorry dont mean to scare you Shezz, hope u dont need one. Just be prepared.
Jane, u poor mummy to be, good news on feeling a bit better though hope u start to feel alot better.
-
I have to admit I've had two inductions and two natural births, and it was with the inductions that I ended up with pain relief both times. It goes much fater so you don't get to build on your pain threshold IYKWIM. Also remember Shez that u/s can be very deceiving when it comes to size of bubs.
BTW DH was 10lb 12oz and was birthed naturally. I was still concerned so talked to my ob about big babies being heiriditary and he reckons it's not true!
-
:hello: wonderful ladies! Im sitting here while Junior is blowing bubbles in my side ;) What a wonderful feeling!
Started my new job so I wont be online as much anymore. Its good, my brain is stimulated which is great as it hasnt been for so long. however the one hour drive there is almost killing me.
My belly button is so close to popping, im so excited! Sushee was so right when she said 2nd tri is so much better than 1st. Actually many people told me that and Im so grateful thats its true for me too!
Love to you all xxx
P.S 11 days till we find out the flavour! :confetti:
-
DANNI: I thinks blueberry bubs for you.

Just popping in for a quick hello
I am really really struggling with ms and tiredness at the moment and have no idea how I am going to get through the rest of today, I feel just awful. I think a walk in the fresh air might perk me up, I really don't want to give in and go home. It's a bit like with endo, if you go home from work every time you feel bad you would have to stay home all the time. Might go check the baby clothes at Myer, that will perk me up ;)
Hope everyone is well
-
Jane - sorry to hear you are feeling so tired. Hope Myer baby perks you up.
Protein is the other thing - it's really hard to keep going I found in the early days without keeping your protein intake right up.
Hi everyone else.
I'm madly busy finishing off about 4 jobs at once! Haven't time to scratch myself. But the baby seems happy and wriggles away while I'm working at my desk just to remind me I am pregnant!
-
hi everyone. Just popping in to say hi. Jane I hope the Myer baby stuff perked u up. I have been busy washing tiny little clothes and nursery linens!!
Belly rubs xoxox
-
thanks Shez and Kar, I actually came straight home after lunch and slept all afternoon on the couch and still feel sick, gotta love this bubs, it is definately making its presence felt for me, which is cute, but I won't be too upset once the morning sickness ends.
Shez - I have an image of all tiny's clothes out drying in the sun, I love seeing little clothes out drying
I need to work out how to get the protein up Kar, I don't I am getting enough but it's always something I have struggled with
-
Jane - sorry to hear the ms is so bad :hugs: hope it slows up for you very soon... BTW what is your due date?
-
Keen - I am due around 17 July, my OB said 16/7, GP said 18/7 so I am splitting the difference and saying 17 ;). I am having my scan on Friday and they will give me a better idea of dates then. I had some acupuncture tonight to help with the MS, fingers crossed it will work. I am going to have an early night to get on top of things as well.
Hope everyone is well
-
Hi all :hello:
Am starting to feel the heat for the first time. It was over 35 here today and it is still 28C inside now - but its too late to put the aircon on now.
Jane - you poor thing - I had days like that - where I couldn't move and just didn't want to do anything. In the end I worked out it was my little sugar fixes that were making me feel the vilest. A little lolly binge and I would pay dearly for a whole day! Re the protein - I found almonds, cashews, tins of salmon, all were good little protein snacks.
We've been nesting here. Now have 24 cloth nappies - ready to go and have just installed the bassinette on the pram which also will double as our bassinette for the baby for the first few months.
Off to bed.
How is everyone going?

Hi everyone, Sad news I'm afraid...
Just thought I would come in to let you all know that I had some more bleeding on Monday night and red blood clotting. We went into emergency around 6.30pm that night and I found out around 8pm that my baby had stopped growing around 7-8wks and there was no foetal heartbeat. They admitted me to the maternity ward and I had a D&C yesterday, at exactly 12wks.
I'm sorry I won't be able to continue this journey with you all at this time, but I'll be back..... :)
Love & Best Wishes,
Belinda

Just a quick note to let you all know we had our scan this morning and all went well. The little heart was beating like crazy and we got a print out of the sound waves and a print out of the baby too, but it is so small you can't really make out much. It is also measuring at almost 7 weeks although I am officially 6 weeks and 4 days based on OPU date. DH has a smile from ear to ear.
Hope everyone is going well.
-
Excellent news Jane! It's good to see that it's all going well!
-
-
-
Jane, I was thinking of you today as I was walking up Victoria Parade. Such great news! Nice that you got a printout too.
-
Jane that is great news sweetheart! Must be able to feel a little more reassured now...(emphasis on "little", of course)
-
fantastic jane!!! I loved our first scan :D
-
-
hi everyone. Awfullt quiet in here. I saw the OB today. He wants another scan and then will decide maybe booked c/s. He is concerned about big baby and xmas break with limited staff etc. He doesn't wan tit to be traumatic which is great. So I have booked th scan for 13/12 and we'll see from there!!
Danni mustn't be long b4 we find out flavour~!!!
Love and belly rubs to allxox
-
Jano, so glad you got good news with your scan.... when are you telling your family? Christmas day? That sure would be a super present for them all!!!
love to everyone..
leis xx
-
Hi everyone
It is quiet isn't it?
Shez, I hope all goes well with the next scan, sounds like you OB is pretty organised and looking out for you which would put your mind at ease.
Leis - haven't decided when to tell the family, most likely in the new year, there is a fair bit going on with my family on Christmas Day and not sure about the timing of telling them then, we'll see how I go, I might need to re-think if I start to show before then. I am happy to leave it until after Christmas day and enjoy the peace for a bit longer to be honest :)
Hope everyone is well
-
Jane, I can't believe you are already seven weeks. Won't be long till you are having that 12 week scan. I remember looking at it and thinking "God, no wonder I've been feeling so sick ... look at how much work I've been doing!"
Shez darling you are so close now. Hoping everything goes well with that scan. Sometimes they get it wrong with the size so you never know. If you do decide to go with the elective, check out the caesarean thread on here because a few of us were talking about ours not so long ago. Hope it helps.
Danni, also BIG CONGRATS on your little blue monster! Time to start shopping with purpose!
Love to all,
Mel
-
Jano... they might clue on when you refuse the glass of Champers?
Dan.... I was sure it was pink
Shaz... no not long for you hun
Melbo... from the time of your post, obviously Will was awake early this morning.. or is that normal for babies to be awake way early... i hope i get one that sleeps in until at least 830 am every morning!

Leis - I don't always drink so I should be safe and there are so many people there (not just family) so-one will notice ;) more concerning though is my little pot belly, which has grown over the last day it seems, I am off to try find something to wear that won't give me away at work today
-
Morning everyone
LOL - Jane - if you've a cute little pot already - methinks things will be pretty hard to hide by xmas! You'll have to hope it's hot and you can wear a kaftan!
Danni - I missed something somewhere re your scan but congrats on your blue confirmation.
Shez - getting closer now - and hope things get organised the way you want them.
As for me - off to the ob yesterday and came in at 7.6 on my glucose challenge which was 0.1 below the top of the range - but they seem relaxed. My iron and bp were good and baby's hb was 152 - which my ob tells me is a girl for now. He was just joking around though. We won't get a scan until 34-35 weeks - so still don't know the flavour.
My little one is getting really active now and the kicks are so much stronger and noticeable. I can also feel his/her back when she/he decides to push it out towards my navel. We've got 12 weeks to go now.
Hey Leis and Keen - get yourselves in here permanent like!
