Hey guys
Just got back from Ob.
No change in Ziggy! He/she is very much enjoying his/her current housing arrangements at the moment...still sitting really high and posterior!
Oh well...Ziggy will come when he/she is ready, I guess!
Ob. says that Ziggy is looking good...has lost his/her vernix and is looking quite mature...
He said that I might have a 'stuttering start to labour'...so we'll just have to see...
Anyway...good news is that Ziggy is looking healthy and happy...just a little too comfortable!
Monnie - fantastic news that ziggy is looking healthy & bub is obviously lying back & enjoying life atm.
Why is it that we are always in a rush to meet them but not the other way round, lol.
So what does a stuttering start to labour mean?
My specialist only attends birth at Murdoch so hopefully that is nice, we haven't been there yet for a look around.
If I have an elective ceaser he does that at Attadale but i'm not too keen on a ceaser, actually not to keen about any options for the birthing process, lol!!!
I have a cute story about my dh!
He does this thing every night when he comes home from work he'll go into bub's room & see what new things I have bought & he acts all horrified if I've bought anything new, even though I know he's just putting it on.
Anyway he said last night when are you going to put that dress in the babies room (another story) & he was being a bit strange so I thought what is in there?
I go in & there is a seseame street book with textas & stickers that he had bought for her.
It was just so sweet I wanted to cry & I know it's only a book but it was just the thought & it's the first thing he has actually bought on his own!

Jo Thats so sweet of your dh. I'm sure it won't be the last thing he buys your little girl. My dh also makes a fuss when I buy anything for our bub too. Must be a dad thing lol.
I'm also hearing you on the birth options lol. I look at it this way, the baby has to come out one way or another and I really don't mind either way lol. I'm trying not to think about it too much atm.
Monnie I'm happy that your ob appointment went well. Its good to see that Ziggy is looking nice and mature although very comfy atm. Sending you lots of L.V's hun.
I'm feeling better today thank goodness. No more little suprises in the pool today lol. I am however suffering from swollen hands and I have "cankles". My dh pointed them out last night. My feet were feeling a little swollen but I thought I was imagining it but NO sure enough my ankles have dissappeared  They seem to be worse in the afternoon and my rings feel quite tight too. Has anyone else had this happen???? Should I be concerned???
hi ladies
i've been stalking you all for a while now, but just thought i'd pop my nose in cos it seems i'm finally going to be joining you! i got a very faint second line on a HPT on Thursday so just waiting on confirmation BT on Thursday next week
BG Welcome sweety. I'm so pleased that you've come to join us in here. Once again CONGRATULATIONS to you and Mr BG. I'm so very excited for you guys :happyforyou: and am wishing you all the :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: I can muster. I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months.
thanks hun - just holding out for the BT before i go getting too excited/stressed/worked up
who am i kidding - i'm already all of the above and then some!!!
and sooooooooooo tired! :)
You're more than welcome BG. It is only natural to try and not feel too excited etc at this point in time although it sure is tough controlling your feelings too. Just go with however you feel best and all will work out just fine.
Is there any chance of getting a b/t done before Thursday?
Remember to take good care of yourself and rest when you feel the need to ;)
i could probably ring the clinic and ask to change the BT based on the HPT - and i might, but i'm wondering if it's really worth it to be late to work and all that jazz just to have the answers a few days earlier...
quick question - anyone notice any dizziness in the first few weeks - i've been sitting on the couch and have had three really light headed eps in the last hour or so without even moving....
Briggsy's girl...Ohhhhh....how exciting! What wonderful news! Wishing you all the best with the BT!
Jo...I think a 'stuttering start' means that the labour will be on and off again without consistently building...I know what you mean about birthing choices...either way it's going to 'come out' doesn't sound particularly pleasant!
Mako...cankles! I know them well! Try and keep your feet up as much as possible and see if DH can massage your feet, gently massaging from the ankles up your calves...has helped me!
Hope everyone is doing well!!!
BG that is fantastic news, so looking forward to having you in here.... good luck with the BT, it will all be ok......how exciting.
JO, your DH is so lovelly, what a darling.
Monnie, what is going on, Ziggy must be loving it in there....... ohhh well more days for you to sit around and enjoy.
Mako, hope you are ok, have you seen you OB about the ankles.....
No change for me, feeling pretty good latelly......after the scan, my whole life just had meaning.
Thanks for the advice Monnie. I will hit dh up for a foot massage when he gets home later today. He's been away with our dog and his dad and his dog. Would have been interesting as the 2 dogs had to share the back seat and I heard that ours wasn't too impressed lol. He'd better get used to it once bub arrives lol.
BG I also had dizzy spells early on. I think they lasted for the 1st 8 or 10 weeks from memory. Just take it easy and rest when you need to hun. I'll be hanging out for Thursday even though I know all will be ok ;)
Ltl Panda It sure is amazing what a difference a scan can make to our lives. I understand how much more real it all seems for you and your dh now.
I have another ob appointment on Wednesday so I'll make sure I talk to her about the ankles and hands. I really don't think they can do to much for it but I will let her know thats for sure.
My MIL and I have been very busy this morning cleaning out the shelves in the wardrobe in bubs room. Its amazing how much junk you can collect over the years. I thought its about time we start to try and get the room organised as its early next month that all of our laybyes are due out for bubs furniture and I'm worried we'll have no room to put it.
I hope everyone is well :D
BIG Congrats BG!
oooh keen - twin girls - congratulations - how exciting!!!
well, i may have spoken too soon - have had a bit of bright bleeding today, so just waiting to see what happens - i guess it's just a waiting game - resting up at the moment to see what eventuates - really nothing much i can do at this stage
BG - I was so happy to hear that you will be joining us & I am praying that the bleeding will stop & is nothing to worry about, let us know how you go.
Mako - haven't had the cankles YET!
I seem to get every other pg symptom, lol.
I know what you mean about putting bubs stuff somewhere, when my dad walked into bub's room the other day he said 'so where are you going to put the baby'.
Monnie - how are you & ziggy going?
As for me today I've had a few pains in tummy, I am assuming i'm doing some more growing ut it's just so hard to know if these things are normal?

Hi guys, a quick hello and checking on Monnie...it seems no news for Ziggy yet...
BG, it was so exciting to read that you saw the second line and I have all my fingers and toes crossed that it will be a super sticky one!
Thanks so much for checking up on me Beibei...what a lovely thing to do...so appreciate your sweetness! How are you doing, chickie? Thinking of you.
Well...nothing really big happening...tightenings continuing every now and then...baby has slowed down in his/her movements (which I hear can be a good sign)...and I'm feeling really tired (had lots of nanna naps today)...
So...who knows if any of those things mean anything...hoping so...this waiting thing is very strange...it's like waiting for the most amazing thing of your life, knowing it's going to happen, but just having no idea how or when...very strange...
I look at the dates in the next week and wonder if any of them will become one of the most important dates of my life...such a weird feeling...
Jo...I found that my belly would go through growth spurts every few weeks and then settle again...I'm sure that's what those tummy pains are...
BG...wishing you all the very very best...hoping that everything is wonderful...I'll be thinking of you.
Mako...I used to find that the cankles were normally a sign that I had pushed things a bit...with the massage, apparently it just needs to be quite gentle...gently nudging the fluid out of the foot area...
and talking about dogs and babies...we took Kenny (our dog) for a drive the other day with the baby seat in the back...was wondering how he would react to it, but he hardly blinked an eyelid at it!!! When ziggy is born, I've heard it's a good idea to send home a worn babysuit so our fur baby can get used to the new little brother/sister!!!
This morning we all had a sleep in...with both Kenny and myself being cuddled by DH...it was such a lovely thing...really special...except between my snoring and Kenny's doggy dreams (muffled barking), poor DH just lay there wide awake!!!
Keen...hope you are doing okay chickie...I read your other post and posted there, but just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you.
Monnie It sounds like things might be starting to get ready to happen re the nana naps, bubs movements slowing down etc. How exciting. Your due date is TODAY woohoo!!!!!!
I know what you mean about the doggy dreams lol. Ours dreams all the time and has the muffled bark thing too. Its so very funny to watch and listen. Ours also sleeps on our bed and thats not going to change when bub arrives. I have planned not to bring the baby into our bed to sleep. I think I'll sleep alot better if he's in his cot. We also had the carseat out in the loungeroom a couple of weeks ago and let our boy sniff it and all the clothes and things. I've also heard what you said about bringing a suit or singlet home to be sniffed too. When we bring the baby home we'll lay him on the floor and let the dog sniff and do whatever he wants to within reason as I don't want to create any jealousy iykwim. I've also spoken to our vet about this and he seems to agree with our plan and he said he'd be very suprised if anything bad would happen as he has a fantastic temprement, but you can never be too careful.
BG How are things going with you today hun? Has the bleeding stopped???
Well I'm catching up with my mum today for lunch and then she really wants to go curtain shopping for bubs room. I've been putting this off for so long now that I need to do it just to get her off my back. I bought a window valance thing that matches bubs linen so I'm hoping we can get something to work in with that cause I know what mums taste is like when it comes to these things and its not very good lol.
