I just had a quick question. What is a good result for a combined NT test? I had mine yesterday and it came back as a 1 in 2702 chance of the baby being born with down syndrome, but then I was reading on another thread that some women get like a 1 in 20,000 chance.
I think the whole "odds" thing around these tests is bizarre. Yet another thing to worry about as an expectant mum especially if you hear other peoples "scores".
Both 1 in 2,000 and 1 in 20,000 are such small odds that I would try not to worry either way. Your doctor would let you know if further testing was required (and even then most of these babies end up being fine anyway).
We opted not to have the testing as I felt it was just too inaccurate, would cause too much worry and I also decided I would not choose to terminate anyway at that stage.
