I am totally freaking out here.... I am finally pregnant again by FET after my missed miscarriage last year and have had 2 weekly blood tests done now at week 4 and week 5 and have found out my hcg level is not where it should be... it's slow rising.
Week 4 HCG (1 Feb) 1128
Week 5 HCG (8 Feb) 7119
My supporting oestrogen / progesterone levels are all fine but my HCG has not risen as high as expected putting it in the slow rising category. The fertility clinic think it's ok as it's still rising as as my first test (week 4) was so strong they are not worried as it's still within range... after much googling though I am!!!
The clinic won't allow me to have another blood test before Monday (when it's been a week) so they have a good pattern to show what's happening - which peeves me as having another blood test taken say 3days after the first would show me if it's going up nicely still (albeit slowly) or it's not going up much which shows a problem (possibly a sac with no baby in it)...
What should I do? Should I call the clinic and demand an interim blood test this week or ultrasound or just sit back, try and be patient and wait until Monday?
Those numbers look good to me. In fact, they look high. The doubling time is 63.21hrs, which is within normal range. Doubling time increases the higher the number:
"Normal" Doubling Time hCG levels Doubling Time Under 1200 mIU/ml 31-72 hours ; Between 1200 to 6000 mIU/ml 72-96 hours ; Over 6000 mIU/ml more than 96 hours
If you'll stress less, have another test earlier if you can. But the numbers seem OK to me (not that I'm an expert)
sweety them numbers also look just fine to me my hcg at 4 weeks was only 958 i would sit back as hard as it is and enjoy.
i pray for you my friend that it all works out
Thanks for the normal double rate info Tashybabe, that makes my figures make more sense. I had wondered as my first level was so high if it was going to take longer to double as in next category so to speak.
So are high levels so early a good thing like showing a strong pregnancy maybe?
Thanks for your sweet words Smithy. All this positivity from everyone really does help lift the soul up.
Hugs to all xo

Tammaspice, my HCG took 4 days to double between 15 and 19 DPO - 184 to 372, and my prog was dropping. I was in a panic too and Googled madly and honestly you can drive yourself to despair!! But I also came across the info about HCG levels taking up to 3 days to double once they reach about 2000. I had another test 2 days later and it was then up into the 900's - and obviously everything turned out OK.
I had this theory (and the clinic nurse agreed with me) that the Pregnyl I was on for LP support artificially inflated the first result - if that makes any sense? Were you on it by any chance?
If it makes you worry less, I'd demand another test in 3 days time, otherwise I'd try and hang out till your first scan. Obviously I'm no expert either, but I think your numbers look good hun And if your clinic says they are happy with the numbers, I'd tend to trust their judgement. I also called my FS a couple of times in a panic after I got my numbers , he told me not to worry - and he was right
numbers look great to me too! at 4 weeks mine was 48 and i am now 13 weeks pg. I have had 6 early losses including blighted ovum (empty sac) and my numbers never got that high. GL and will wait to see your pg news.
