Hello Don23

Wandered across from TTC after M/L and here you are!!!

(Definitely no stalking vibes there I promise - it has taken me a while to migrate... )

I understand what you are saying about the twinges, discomforts and weird inexplicable stuff our body throws at us when we are pg - it is totally disconcerting and it is always hard to ignore the baggage that comes with m/cs.

I don't know if this is relevant at all but with both my pregnancies and a little more with this second one - I tend to get a lot of twinges and aches low down as the hormones kick in big time - especially in the first trimester as I have a trick hip and so I am inclined to a lot more sensation as a result of weaknesses in that area. I remember my friend with her second had a lot of issues with 'pain' in that area which was related to lower back issues as everything softened and stretched but the cramping manifested around the uterine area at the front.

I also tend to notice because I have a lousy digestive system to start with that the progesterone increase in the first tri really bogs everything down to the point of uncomfortable (not constipation which is obviously an easy one to work out) but it is more than just the general bloating you tend to expect and can come in a wave like a cramp and throw me. Hopefully that wasn't TMI - I have no complaints about the way my body works - just aware of its little foibles at this point in the game.

It is totally natural to be really concerned about 'symptoms' your pg is throwing at you without so much as an airline safety demonstration. I can understand your need for reassurance - at just 6 wks - I know I've got a long way to go through a minefield of anxiety yet. I am so excited that you are almost at the 12 wk mark though - that is wonderful!

I think the thing I am trying really hard to do at the moment is the same thing I do with my students at school - just as I try to see and respect every student as being their own person - needing and demonstrating their own ways - I am trying really hard to respect that this is a different pregnancy to my last one that ended in m/c and that if I can hang onto that idea somehow it will help not necessarily remove the fears but may I hope diminish them to a background issue rather than being constantly at the front of my mind. I can appreciate though that with the three m/cs you situation is very different and everyone approaches things in the ways that work for them.

I hope Don that you can find the peace you want to be able to enjoy this journey with your little one.
