Hi ladies,
our precious baby girls Poppy Kate was born sleeping on Thursday. Her heart was just too sick. She's is beautiful, and will always be in our hearts.

I hope no one minds...I just wanted to come in to tell Bec how absolutely gutted I was to read of the loss of her beautiful, precious girl.

Bec, I wish I had the words to somehow go even a little way towards taking away your pain. I know how much you so desperately wanted another earth side baby, and the long and arduous journey you have been through. I am just so, so sorry that you aren't able to take beautiful Poppy Kate home with you :( I know, however, you will carry her in your heart...Always.

I lost my engagement and wedding ring on Monday night in a flooded carpark :( I was out for dinner with friends and had taken them off due to swelling and put them on my little finger, which was fine inside. But when we got outside it was absolutely bucketing down... I have never seen such constant HEAVY rain. For at least 20 minutes it went. After about 10 mins one of my friends went to her car, picked us all up and drove us to our cars. I was last and as I got out of her car to dash to mine, they slipped off my finger. The water was at least 2 inches deep and very fast flowing. I'm positive they ended up in a drain somewhere. We spent about 10 mins searching in the absolute drenching rain at about 10:15pm (when it happened) but no luck :( So devastated! I haven't even had a chance to go looking for them yet or contact the insurance, cause I've had a mad crazy busy week finishing off work and seeing my sister and her family before they go back home 2 hours flight away. So that's really annoying. The carpark I lost them in is ALWAYS busy, so the best time to go is first thing in the morning, which is peak hour traffic! Sigh. I might try and go tomorrow morning before church, it's only a bit further away. I put in a report to the police and entered them on the 'Lost and Found' on a local radio station, but no luck. I don't think anyone would've found them anyway. I'm positive they must have gone down a drain somewhere :( We went to a wedding today and it was so beautiful. The bride and groom were both so happy, their faces looked like excited puppies the whole time. So lovely. It was difficult for me during the giving and receiving of rings though :( I've still got marks from them on my finger.

Bub-wise... I've been fine right up until Friday. I finished work on Thursday (yay!) and then spent Friday at my parents' house with my parents, sister, BIL and their 3 children - 5.5, 4 and 2. Lovely to see them after so long (they live 2 hours flight away, right up in the north of WA) but boy was I tired by the end of the day. Then today we had the wedding, then went to lunch with some friends from there (cause we weren't invited to the reception as we don't know the couple THAT well) and then off to another friend's housewarming/30th, which was the other side of the city. I was absolutely exhausted by the time we got to the housewarming/30th and we only stayed about an hour. We came home and I had a nice nap, but I can't nap for very long, it doesn't work. So hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

How do you tell which way your bub is lying? I've never really bothered until now cause it seems to have changed positions every 5 minutes, lol. But I'd like to be able to find out for myself now. I'm not quite sure where/how deeply to press down to find feet/head etc... Bub has been moving around quite a lot lately - right when the books say its movement will slow down :P But I think it's still got a little more growing to do, even though it's already quite big! I think I'm having a whopper :( I'm still convinced it's going to be a boy.

We have our last antenatal class on Wednesday. There's a couple there that I think I mentioned a few weeks ago with the same names as us, due on the same date and she's also a teacher. Well the other night we found out they only live in the next suburb and in the same position in the suburb as we do in ours! How funny! I hope they don't mix our babies up if we go in at the same time, lol!

Bec, still thinking of you - some of the girls have said it so beautifully. Poppy, your beautiful girl, will always be your little girl, whether she is held in your arms or your heart.

Phee - have a look at the spinning babies website (google spinning babies). They have a "baby mapping" bit. I didn't find Abby slowed at all! She was posterior though, so the little feet and hands at the front of my belly meant lots of movement to be felt :)

Things are good here, guess I should be moving on, but I'll always be stalking in here!

BecnXavi - sweety, congratulations on the bittersweet birth of your darliing little girl, Poppy. It is such an amazing and devastating process, to labour to bring your darling into the world and know they may not stay. Fly free little angel girl. You are much treasured and much adored. Your spirit lives on, but stay near your mummy, as she needs you now more than ever. Bec, go gently in the very hard and heartbreaking grief journey ahead. PM me if you need to talk about grief and how to get through or just to cry and be angry at the world. Keeping you and all of your babies, especially Poppy in my heart.

Phew, I've had a hectic few days.... where to start. Well on the baby front, I had my cervical suture placed under general anaesthetic on Wednesday 28th. Obs said it went well. Just a struggle for me in the post anaesthetic phase, so very tired. If I over do it I feel sick and tired. So trying to rest as much as I can and get those fluids into me to flush it all out. The other thing that happened was HB had a severe allergic reaction to an insect bite, well bites on her foot and lower leg. She was bitten on Chrissy day, but didn't start to really react til Boxing day. Blew up like a balloon, her skin blistered up and then burst. Took her to the ER and they were going to admit her as it looked like celulitis, but the consultant paed ( thank god for priv health insurance) said it wasn't necessary and was just an allergic reaction, but we had to go back for review on the day I had my stitch in. So Tuesday and Wednesday were spent at the hossy for us. Though, Wednesday it was two different ones. Thankfully on Wednesday HB's foot was much better and she didn't need to be admitted. I guess if I think about it was a stressful time. I am just glad we live close to an ER and have those facilities at hand. If she had been admitted we would have gotten through. Good thing is there is no anaphylaxis and not likely to be. We've even gotten HB to accept her disgusting smelling antibiotics somehow without a fight. Don't ask me how. Maybe she just worked out it was easier not to fight it anymore? Or maybe the stickers help? She gets to choose one and then put it on a chart.

Hope everyone had a nice christmas and is looking after themselves. Time for me to rest.

I am now brave enough to start telling people I am pregnant we had the NT scan today and I got to see a very lively little baby jiggling around:clap::clap:

Dory - thanks for your welcome I did pop in early in pregnancy but was dealing with many doubts etc as I am sure all the lovely ladies in here have. Seeing the scan was just an amazing feeling and starting to take the nerves away

AFM unfortunately 12 weeks came and went and I was hoping that the all day sickness would go with it but alas no :( but it isn't as bad so hopefully this means it won't last the whole time :crossfingers:

MelM - hopefully not! It's yucky isn't it? Hope those doubts are starting to ease.

Loops - OMG I just say your ticker, 21 weeks my friend. Well done! Hope 2012 isn't as busy for you... well not this part anyway :)

I have been pretty out of sorts following the anaesthetic for the stitch. Today is day 5, and finally this evening I am feeling more normal., not great but better than I have been. I have also been pretty glum too, but that's because since the anaesthetic I haven't felt Raspberry Bear kick as much as I was, and I think I just believed all was lost. It's starting to get into the time I start to worry more anyway. And New Years is a really tough time for me these days. It's when I stop and realise that my babies aren't here and each NYE takes me further away from them. I used to love NYE and making resolutions and the fire works and the celebrations. I used to feel genuinely excited. Now, it just doesn't interest me. Sometimes I wonder if I am living in the past? I am very grateful for HB and the joy she brings each day and the pure wonder at getting to watch her grow and to be part of that, but it doesn't mean I don't love and miss my angels. Anyway, on NYE, the three of us went to the memorial garden at sunset and just sat in the beautiful tranquility. It was just what my little heart needed. DH said it helped him. HB got to bring a little rock home from the garden. She loves rocks. So it was a winner all up.

Dory :hug: takes me 4 days usually to feel OK after anesthetic. I hope you feel chirpy tomorrow :).

Morning sickness has well and truly set in here, I feel so crap :(.
