Get my results on Monday :)
Melster- :( I hope things start getting better soon.
Duchess- Yays for good scan :)
AFM- Swelling has gotten suddenly worse this arvo and is hurting my hands. Not sure if that is a reflection on bp possibly being higher this arvo or not. It is annoying me. I think its time to get a cheap machine. Also doesn't help my belly is hurting today cos I've had to wash my support band and not allowed to dry it in the dryer. I did have a good nap today though :D
-
Melster - hugs hun. Hope things get sorted and will go better for you from now on!
Damprye - Are you drinking enough? I know it's sounds weird, but it's supposed to help drain the excessive fluids that you're storing at the moment.
Kbudgie - As my ob has been very positive, I tried to be positive as well and booked my 12 week and 19 week scan after my first ob appointment at 8 weeks. I also bought a pram that week. I started this cross stitch project for the baby room as soon as I knew I was pregnant, I had been saving this cross stitch for the last year, from before my missed m/c. I felt like if I didn't that this pregnancy wouldn't succeed. So far, so good. Still worried that something will happen with bub or that I won't make it to 40 weeks, but most days I try and stay positive. It's so hard isn't it. Hugs hun! You're almost halfway!
Greenslw - it's always hard to assess if they're going to give you the job or not. Maybe the fact they were so casual and didn't ask many questions was a good sign?! You'll find out soon enough. Fingers crossed!
AFM - Was extremely hungry today, don't know where I put this food. Have been having sore hips though :$ Still took my dog for 2 half an hour walks. Yesterday I had a really sore lower back, but hubby was so nice to give a bit of a back rub and he even heated a hot pack up for me. Now sitting back and relaxing for a bit.
-
Damprye-- when do you get your blood test results?
-
Hi everyone, just letting you know I'm still alive. I've been reading but not posting. I had my hcg levels checked again yesterday & initially I thought the receptionist said 336702 & I was almost crying with happiness but as the day worn on I started to doubt myself so I gave into temptation & checked my results before I left work - gutted, it's only 33602 :( Obviously my GP isn't concerned or else she would've rang but taking 7 says to double?? Wth?? I know doubling time increases after 6000 is registered but 7 days? Feel angry & betrayed by my body. My u/s is next week & I'm tempted to bring it forward but I want DP with me & he can't get there this week. I know my levels are still within "normal" but I'm really concerned about the doubling time.
I will hop on tomorrow & write personals, sorry for being a negative nelly again. Dampyre your swelling sounds really concerning, please look after yourself

Damprye hope today is a good day.
Hi to others
Me going CRAZY need to know NOW but hay that is me not a patient person. Lots of colleges asked today but don't know. I need to start planning a hand over either way no job or maternity leave, just can't believe it isn't far away. I was having a little day dream about not working full time after baby, being able to take ds to kindy no child care for baby and more balance in my life, then I woke up :( mortgage bills and I'm the main earner, blah, I worked three jobs to pull it all together with ds I don't want to but I can do it again if I have to. Not sleeping or eating a lot think Friday can't come soon enough.
-
Greenslw- Being the main earner is hard.
Tictoc- I hope your scan goes well.
Duchess- I get my results on Monday :)
Me4- Yup, trying to drink and keep down 3ltrs per day as requested by OB :)

thanks ladies.....im just praying and praying things start sorting them selves out..its been a really rough trott....im not liking being this stressed when im pregnant, i feel really bad about it. Been getting some period type pains...hope its just baby pains and not stress pains
Greenslw....yes STEP KIDS!!!...between the crazy ex....and the kids..........they have come and go through the 10 years and everytime they disrupt our lives and then disrupt it again when they leave....they are starting to get themselves into ALOT of trouble.......we have tried to give them a stable. healthy. responsible. strict enviroment but they are choosing the other side....and now this SK has just dug a whole for herself....long long story and scary and police involved and lying...silly silly girl...her mum still doesnt want her so she is going to her aunties apparently.....we just cant keep picking up the peaces everytime the ex kicks them out or they do something wrong..i will have 3 children in the house soon and we just cant do it.....its too stressful....theres alot more too it but you can imagine. Its a very messy situation. then it disrupts our money to and causes financial stress........OH i hope you find out soon and have some good news
Damprye...thats no good at all.......
Me4ever...you're good going for that walk !!!!!!! the baby must be hungry :)
Tick Tok...sorry its so stressful for you...keep youre fingers crossed and i hope youre scan comes around soon enough
-
Mel sounds like you and dh have done your best and it is very sensible to think of how this is effecting the small children in the house. Never easy.
Staying distracted today planning df and my 7 year anniversary. Bit excited ds is having his first sleep over with my mum, I just booked gold class movie tickets now to pick a spot for dinner, movie starts at 9.10 I hope I don't fall asleep lol don't think I've been up this late for a while. So much changes in 7 years and both of us are much better people now. Just need the white picket fence
-
Damprye have you found any relief? Good luck with your results on Monday.
me4ever you're so lucky having a hubby who gives back rubs! Jealous :)
Greenslw good luck with today :) I also day dream about not going back to work full time after baby is born. I only worked part time when DD is young and it was great although I didn't appreciate it at the time and was so caught up in other rubbish. It's silly but now she's heading to high school next year I really feel she needs me home more than ever. Or is that just mummy guilt talking?
Mel I'm sorry you're under so much stress instead of being able to put your feet up and enjoy your growing belly. It really sounds like you and DH have done everything you can to provide stability. There does come a time unfortunatley when you do have to just say "enough" and do what's best for you and your family. I have had a similar situation with my mum where I have had to walk away. People often ask "but she's your mum, don't you miss her?" and yes I miss her like crazy but her negative behaviour doesn't just impact me, my DD ends up hurt as well. Hopefully in time trust can be rebuilt and she realises how much you have supported her.
So it seems the only pregnancy symptom I still have is being constipated (lucky me). Boobs are no longer sensitive, no more waking during the night to pee, no ravenous appetite, no more baby growing stretching or pulling, no more feeling seedy - nothing. I feel empty and unsocial. I lay in bed in the morning with my hand on my belly and try to "feel" baby but it seems we have a bad connection and if he's there I can't hear him. I have lost all my excitement at being pregnant and no longer look at baby clothes and want to buy the whole rack. I have one more week of this "no mans land" and I think by the end of it I'm going to be numb. I'm hoping my mind has just gone into self protect mode and everything will be fine at the scan. We shall see.
I better get off the computer, I am going to be 20mins late for work at this rate and since I finally have my interview in 2 weeks it's a good thing there are no bosses at work today :) Hope everyone has a lovely Friday.
-
Tic toc nothing wrong with protecting yourself just keep a little spark in your mind and belly  I assume you won't share you pg news? Good luck. I agree teenagers seem to need us as much as babies.
Ladies I'm having a bad day ds is sick with gastro and I'm home just waiting for job news. I spoke to my manager about handover when I'm on mat leave and he made a comment about that being easy but hard if its sooner. Tease! A watched phone never rings and like you tic toc I'm preparing for bad news but still hopefully.
-
No, won't be sharing preg news until as late as possible & my excuse will be that due to my previous history I'm not confident sharing the information if pregnancy isn't viable. It would be nice to tell a few of the girls at work though, even so they have an understanding of why I am a bit distracted at the moment. They have assumed its due to finding another rental property - add that to my list of stress!
How's the phone going? Have you checked to see if it's still working? Lol
-
Haha tic toc I only have a mobile and I'm sure it's working. Just got puked on changed all my cloths need some good news soon.
-
I have everything crossed for you greenslw!
Sucks that DS is sick.
Ticktock-- I can't imagine what waiting another week not knowing will be like I had scans at 6,8,10,12, 20 weeks and then 13 in hospital, and every OB appointment he does quick ultrasound on bub.
After my 20 week scan on Tuesday and more and more kicks I'm feeling a lot better about everything.
I really want to enjoy my last pregnancy now that the biggest risks are over. With DD2 I spent so much time in hospital at beginning and end and then my town flooded and DD1's teacher was washed away in the floods and I had to give away my dog and my cat was hit by a car the pregnancy was a blur.
I'm going to leave this thread soonish (i need to know how you all end up!) and go and not think about all the things that could happen to bub now I'm actually bonding.
Xxx
-
ticktoc I had a few people at work I could confide in. a few knew the day of my bfp and it helped knowing they would understand should the worst happen in the first few weeks. They were there for me when I had the mc too.
duchess I am glad you are feeling better and more confident xx I can understand you thinking about leaving but personally i still feel such support here, maybe I am not ready and maybe I won't be. .
afm hospital booking in appointment on Monday. Time to get my goodie bag, Yay!
-
Duchess I have scan envy! I know having scans doesn't guarantee anything but having that reassurance must be wonderful. I just said to DP that this time next week we'll either be celebrating or I'll be drinking a bottle of red.
Yay for your appt kbudgie, you'll have to let me know what's in your goodie bag - I don't remember getting one with DD
-
Duchess I totally get why this thread may not work for some ppl long term, for me it's the only place to stay connected to all the ppl I've met on my ttc adventure. So good to hear you're bonding awwwww
Kbudgie good luck with app enjoy your treats
Well ds is finally in bed still pretty sick, and I didn't hear but that's ok now to look forward to my anniversary on Sunday 7 years. Just hope for a good sleep.
-
Thanks for understanding.
The support here is amazing :)
My last pregnancy was so bitter sweet losing little twin and I know this one is my last and OB was very pleased with everything today I am really feeling its real and I will meet my bubba in 17 weeks (at 38wks) and I'm so excited.
Ticktoc-- I wish this week would hurry up for you!!
Greenslw-- I can't believe you didn't find out!! And DS is sick! What a day!!
My DD2 still has hand foot and mouth disease so the whole second week of holidays has been a write off
But I've started nesting?!? And my kitchen looks amazing lol
-
Duchess are you having a cs? Do they normally do that at 38 weeks? My dr said I may need a cs last visit due to BIG baby. Does that mean I on.y have 15 weeks? :omg: I need to nest more
Ds is flaked out on the couch. Had a big cry this morning cos I said no milk. Df just vacuumed and I'm relaxed not a bad Saturday even if it 12c and raining. I just hope ds is ok enough for df and I to go out tonight we will see.
