Welcome pash, try to think positive. I know it's hard (and I'm a hypocrite at times) but it's not good for you or bub to be stressed.
I cannot wait til I start having appointments with the midwives, I think it will seem more real. Hope everything goes well Mel :)
I have a GP visit today, will get my referral for bloods & NT scan. Good time to see the doc, feel too "normal" and once again need to talk about fears & get reassurance.

Ah, I'm gutted. Jut got my HCG tests. First one was 2300, then 6 days later 8540.
Should have doubled 3 times and been more like 18400. *sigh* well, now I just have to wait I guess.
Thanks for the welcome ladies.

I'm sorry the news wasn't better Pash, i have everything crossed that bub sticks for you <3
-
Fingers crossed pash - my hcg never doubled as expected & stressed me out to the point I didn't have my weekly test the last 2 wks but there was still a bubba with strong HB at my scan on Friday so don't give up xx

Have a LOT of pressure downstairs, so much so I have to keep my legs very spread and no chance of walking at all. My cervix is also very low and very soft. I can feel it with only inserting a finger to the first nub.
-
Plagued - You must be over the moon! A strong heartbeat! Yippeee!
Tictoc - thanks for the info about your HCG not doubling. THat really helps. You must have been so relieved to see that heartbeat!
Dampyre - What does that mean if you have a low soft cervix? I wouldn't know how to even find my cervix!
AFM - I have been madly googling normal HCG doubling rates. I have found some sites that give me comfort and other that don't. I really thought I would be over the obsessing this time round, but it seems the obsessing runs strong through my veins. Arrrrgh! Stop! I need to do some work, or sleep.

Pash...i hope everything turns out alright with you and the little bubs growing..so what is the next step? more tests or just waiting...
Damprye...so are you on bed rest then??
-
Sorry, last night my phone was about to die so posted quickly.
Pash- Low HCG Mumma here as well, every time. This pregnancy is the first to show up when I was due for my period, rather than a few weeks after I was due, also my only bub to have doubling HCG...oh and when I was due for AF and I did get a positive pee test, the HCG the next day was 17! And yup, 2 live fullterm births of my boys with slow rising HCG :) Good luck hun.
Melster- Yup, bananas are good. Potassium helps :) I get the horrid leg cramps where you wake up screaming and they are supposed to help with that too.
Ticktoc- Glad you are feeling more positive now :)
AFM- I think I overdone it yesterday (as per usual) I had to run to avoid getting totally drenched and was in agony since, not helped by being a balloon animal (edema). Cervix at this point in pregnancy should be high, firm, closed (1-2cm if had previous pregnancies) and posterior, not so low, soft and forward. Still 2cm which is good and it has moved back to posterior this morning. Ended up losing some plug though and leaking again last night. Period type cramps today and still hurts to close my legs but not as bad. BP playing up as well. Was heading to go help clean up a broken bowl and had to sit in the middle of the room because everything went black. I drank plenty yesterday and have been hydrated the last few days (dehydration makes everything so much worse) but can't this morning as the pain is making my usual nausea worse and I have already had ondansetron (threw up the maxalon) and need something to try and not hurl constantly all day, even that isn't doing enough to stop me vomiting when anything hits my tummy though but at least it does help a bit. Going to call the midwife and see if I can get in with her just to check things out. Lil Miss is going well, such a mover so that and the cervix moving back up are really good signs.
And I am on rest but not bedrest..no bedtime activities anymore though as it was causing too much issues with both bp and my irritable uterus.

Dampyre you sound like your body is making you so uncomfortable, feel for you.
Had a very quick GP appointment yesterday (she was running 30mins late & I had to get DD to her own GP visit) Doc is every happy with my scan & for me to stop having weekly BT. She gave me my NT scan & BT referral ($213.95 & $22 ouch!) and doesn't need to see me again til the end of August so she can give me the slip for 20 week scan :D 20 weeks, wow :) She will also contact the hospital & get the ball rolling there so that's exciting.
Had my job interview today, wore a new top & my favourite heels to try and feel comfortable. I think it went well but am glad it's over. What will be will be. Have a nice home to move into, a much wanted baby on the way, a gorgeous DD & fantastic DP so I'm feeling very blessed. The security of a permanent job will be the icing on the cake but if it doesn't happen I have other positive things I can concentrate on. Lol, feel like I've been bitten by the love bug - much nicer than the grumpy bug that seemed to have been plaguing me for the last few weeks :D
-
Welcome pash. Hope baby sticks for you
Damprye I hope you take it easy I know it's hard with little ones.
Tictoc I really hope you get the job, did they say when they'll let you know :leap: for love inthe air ;)
Hi all

Baby is feeling good, pretty high and chiro was happy with my back so looking good dispite being a big bubba.
-
Ticktoc- Hope it went well for you :) And yays for the good news :D
Greenslw- So jealous, would totally love a lil holiday ;-)
AFM- Lol what an exciting day yesterday! So glad it is over. I ended up with a scan after more loss and 7cm of fluid is gone and head is fully engaged! All good though as things have settled down and OB is happy with the decrease in loss overnight. I was supposed to go to the hospital last night (he booked me in) but I fell asleep putting the boys to bed. Oops! But all is good. Feeling happy now and not seeing him again till Monday....oh and yup, BP had been playing tricks

All good at the obs. Measuring 26 weeks. Good heart beat. Gave me hb tablets and the sugar test
I feel bad winging ... When you have all that going on damprye ... Hope things improve for you
Hope everyone else is good
-
Melster- go ahead, please lol. I don't feel so bad about my constant whinging if I'm not alone ;-)
I'm here to do a bit more of that whinging lol.... Started having tightenings/discomfort today, good, normal, expected right? Until they started getting a lil bitey about 4pm. Now it is 1:45am, I have work in the AM and all my nirmal stuff I do to try and ease them hasn't worked, just gotten worse. Good part is tgey don't seem to be causing me to progress and bub still seems fine as usual, it is just my irritable uterus being a pain again (pun intended :P ). I need to go to work cos I need to get paid cos I need to pay my bills *sigh* If I get some sleep tonight, I'll be all chirpy and positive again, it's just hard sometimes ya know?
-
Damprye I don't know what to say, I've never heard of anyone having such difficulties before, Can you go in late? Work half a day?
I went to my first yoga class last night, I think I liked it.....My back felt better for it anyway.
I find out about my job today, am confident it's mine as my boss was being a smarty pants yesterday & kept asking me if I'm sure I want to stay there :D
Wish I had access to a u/s machine, would love weekly reassurance bub's still doing ok, damn fear.
Hi everyone :D
-
Ticktoc- I don't make pregnancy appealing ;-) Things are surprisingly better than DS2's pregnancy lol. More complications but my waters didn't break at 24weeks :D
I'll only be working 3hrs, going to call OB for something more for the pain though
-
You have valid reasons to be whinging tho...:) you sound like you're having such a rough trot. Pregnancy doesn't agree with you ? I hope these weeks fly for you
I can't get outa bed. It's so cold. Dd4 is at grandmas and dd2 still asleep . I can't believe it. Putty for this uncomfortable feeling at the top of my stomach. It's like something is stuck up there. Not sure if its related to the heart burn or baby. My stomach has popped out a bit too now...
My cousin is over due and waiting for her bubs to come out. I'm so excited for her and I can't wait. I can't stop thinking about it..... Pregnancy hormones.
Gotta go bk to ob in 3 weeks to get back on the right time. I think then when appointments go to two weeks then 1 week. think I'm starting to change my mind about getting my tubes tied. Heard of too many problems and suds effects including hormonal problems. Heavier periods. Depression. Cysts ... There Is nooooooo way I want to be a hormonal nightmare the rest of my life :) I just can't risk it... Then I think it's so perminate. And god forbid if something happened to the kids and I wanted to have another. Maybe I'll have to be ok with taking the pill or see how the merina effects me?
