Oh. My. Freaking. God.
Nausea kicked in this morning with a vengeance..... Feels like I am dying
Well.... I wanted symptoms...! So I shouldn't complain. But.... Wow, not the nicest feeling in the world....
Ha ha myturn! Gotta love that morning sickness! I always had a love hate relationship with it too - hate it but glad it's there to let me know I still have strong hcg levels. .. Hope it's manageable for you.
Reet hope you're doing ok. You said you have no reason to be anxious but I think you have every reason to be because once you've been through miscarriage and know the pain of that loss you would be crazy if you didn't carry a fear of that loss with you through any subsequent pregnancy. Glad you have the doppler to ease your mind a bit. Try to relax and enjoy the pregnancy as much as you can and let us know how things progress.
Thankyou so much girls for the warm welcome! :)
I am feeling much better now, I was worried and so anxious all weekend until finally yesterday arvo I pulled my Doppler out and made myself listen to babies heartbeat, I luckily found it straight away, its so reassuring! I hate that I need the reassurance though, why cant I just have faith!! :( Ive realised i need to keep my mind busy too, as soon as im not doing anything for long periods of time and just sitting around that's when the anxiety creeps in, weekdays are fine cos im normally taking DD to activities but on weekends I tend to stay at home way too much!
Kbudgie- woohoo on nearly being at the finishing line! So exciting for u!! Can u remember when u started feeling little kicks?
Ticktoc- Oh I cant wait til feel those first little kicks, it shld be happening for me in less then a month, hopefully! Did u just start feeling them straight away from the outside or did it take a bit longer? I started feeling DD from the outside at 17-18 weeks, I cant remember where the placenta was with her, im thinking it was anterior too and that's why I missed all the flutters etc and just went straight to kicks.. but im not sure. Im hoping that's the case, if it is I might only have 2-3 weeks to wait! Im sure I will still get nervous in between movements though, I remember freaking every morning when I wld wake up cos I hadn't felt DD move all night and then she wld take about 10 mins to wake up, I guess the worry never really disappears, even when they are earthside!
Myturn- thanks for the welcome! how are u feeling? Morning sickness is horrible isn't it! I never vomited thankfully, but I really felt like I shld have a few times! Its frustrating, while ur going thru MS all u want is for it to stop, but when u have a 'good' day u freak out! Well I did anyway when I was 9 weeks and raced off to ob.! crazy!
Desailly- I really do need to relax and enjoy being pregnant, I absolutely love being pregnant! I loved everything about it with DD right up until I was 40 weeks, I actually wasn't ready to have her yet cos I loved being pregnant so much! (I was still quite anxious with her though and now wish I hadn't been) I need to start enjoying the journey! :)
Wishing u the best of luck with this pregnancy, are u going to get regular scans/bloods etc and be closely monitored? Have u had any testing done to see why ur precious babies haven't been able to stick around? With my last preg I was crazy and was seeing ob every week and getting bloods etc done but I found it was more stressful then anything so I made a deal this time that I wld get basic bloods to start with (I didn't get progesterone tested which was hard for me!) and an early dating scan and then wait to see ob at 9 weeks. It was hard but it was also nice not analysing blood test results constantly etc. I figured if it was meant to be it was meant to be. Ofcourse in other peoples situations where progesterone support etc is needed its a different story though.
Alrighty bedtime for me, im so tired!! xx
My turn I want to like your post but it seems wrong to be happy that someone is so sick! Glad you're getting stronger symptoms but I hope you don't feel terrible for long.
Reet my first kick with the pregnancy was a big "I'm here mum!" But then I had to wait for more regular movements. DP has been able to feel kicks since about 21 wks but more so within the last 2 weeks
reet I think it was about 18 and then not all that often
Lol. Thanks ticktoc. It was only the one bad day so far. Yesterday was a bit better and today is better also. I just managed to eat a link lady apple for breakfast and actually enjoyed it. (Not so good with fruit on the best of days!) still a bit nauseous, but Sunday was a shocker.... Probably didn't help that DH has been away for the long weekend ans so I was feelin more sorry for myself :)
The nausea getting better however still makes me feel a bit anxious though - even though I know that it happens.
I dreamt last night that on Friday we saw the baby's heart beat and it was 170bpm.... Hoping it isn't THAT high in reality!!
Hi all Im very excited as my hcgs for 4 weeks 2 days came in at a massive 1761! That's by far my highest ever result for this stage so here's hoping that means this little one has implanted strongly and is doing well. Obviously still early days but nice to have something positive to hold on to :^) My only concern was it seemed toooo high... anyone else had hcgs that level at this stage?
Myturn How's that morning sickness? Mine's just kicking in. Kept retching whilst trying to help DS brush his teeth this morning...
Sounds good desailly, fx bubs has snuggled in nice & deep :)
Yay for good result!!!
I am feeling much better thanks! But of course that is scary in itself. My FS rang tonight to check how I was and make sure I had booked US and got referral paperwork etc. it was actually really nice to get his call. Felt like he was interested in doing a GOOD job, not just his job. And he said "fingers crossed for tomorrow".
Hi everyone, I am causiously joining this group again. I was here many moons ago and honestly thougt I wouldn't be lucky enough to be back.
I am 5w1d and due on the 10th of July 2014. My first scan is in 10 days on the 18th.
So far so good....
Congrats tilygirl. FX it's a sticky one!!
Today's scan was great!! Measured at 6w3d and heartbeat of 111 :)
Also FS just called to say the scan looked fantastic and congratulations :) it is perfect.
Woo hoo!!!! Such a nice feeling! So nice for him to call. It seems I AM pregnant after all!!
Congrats myturn! Glad scan went welk and little one is doing the right things.
Welcome tilygirl! Hope things progress well for you. I'll be 5 wks tomorrow so early days for me too.
Very tired at the moment and nausea kicking in. .. can't complain though. Happy to be having pregnancy symptoms :^)
Hi everyone how are you all going?
My hcg results for this week are very high again which is hopefully a good sign. 13570 at 5 wks 2 days. Not quite doubling every 2 days but still very high. Still a week and a half till scan though. So close yet so far. .. Very anxious to see if it looks viable or not.
Still feeling pretty terrible most of the time.... Tired, MS is variable, but essentially a constant feeling of crapness. But... It is reassuring to have the symptoms, and I am really feeling that this is going to be okay.
FX all is well on your scan.... And that time goes quickly!!
Hi all hope you're going well. I've still got strong pg symptoms - nausea, tiredness, sore breasts etc which is good. A little worried today though as yesterday I had some spotting and today ive got some sharp pain. Only been going for the past couple of hours but still stressing me out. Hope it goes away soon. .. still a week to wait till scan so I think Ill keep stressing myself out till then!
Scary desailly FX its sticking tight in there
i am am feeling better today, but was pretty miserable most days last week. Of course feeling better stresses me out, as this was the weeks lost the baby last time. But I am trying to remind myself that it's all okay for now - that's all I need to know for now.
I must admit to searching week 8 symptoms today though....
