Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I am really pleased to hear the surgery went well. Rightfully so to feel how you did. I’d be very nervous too. Have you managed to rest up over the last few days? I can’t see how it would hurt taking it easy. I hope your DH is dotting on you and your DD is behaving herself so you can rest. I hope you can start enjoying your pregnancy more as the next few weeks go by.
I am plodding along. Still extremely tired. Looking forward to Maternity leave. Bring on the 19th December.

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hi everyone
WW - I've been reading your updates and sending positive energy your way... I am so sorry the road has not been completely smooth sailing so far, but hope that things will get better now that this surgery is done. I was in the hospital recently and sharing a room with a woman who had the same thing happen, and I thought of you. I would think this is actually common? And the doctors know how best to manage it for you and your baby. Big hugs.
Mildez - thrilled to see things are progressing well.
AFM - I've been okay. Had a scare last week with some chest pain that required me to go to emergency for investigation. 24 hours in the hospital and a VQ scan later I was cleared of any pulmonary embolism, but it was scary and realising I had to do that scan was so emotionally difficult. Any risk to this baby just terrifies me. I'm not even consuming caffeine and I have to take this test?! :( The stress relief of knowing the pain is likely ligament sprain is, of course, a weight off my mind and good for bub. But yeh... it wasn't nice. Also my diabetes numbers are slightly elevated according to my hospital's standards and the doctor is talking about Metformin. My problem is my numbers are actually acceptable according to the limits for a variety of other hospitals and I'm so uncomfortable with medicating when I'm in a gray area. Not sure how to go about this, how to talk to the doctor and maintain my low-risk model of care. So yeh... feeling stressed, unfortunately. But baby is moving and wriggling, which is lovely. Like you, WW, I feel more connected to her everytime I feel her.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
How are things travelling WW? Have you had a repeat scan? Your getting so close to more big milestones (24 and 26weeks :) )
Any more chest pain Lee? How far along are you now?
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Lee, sorry to hear about your stresses with the chest pain and possible diabetes. It ain't fun, is it?
AFM, my scan yesterday showed funnelling down to the stitch. I am on bed rest (but sort of self imposed as our doctor is quite unclear about it, though he did say "rest more"). Yesterday was a hard day. I feel fairly upset and anxious a lot of the time. I just sent my DD away - again. I am not a naturally optimistic person so I have to work SO hard to allow the possibility that things won't turn out really badly.
I can't even face this site right now plus I cannot type lying down, too uncomfortable.
See you guys later.
Wishing everyone all the very best,
WW

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I am really sorry to hear WW. I have seen this happen before and the lady carried her pregnancy for another 8weeks (she was 26weeks then). And my facebook friend who had the stitch in at 23weeks who ruptured her membranes the next day is now about 29weeks. I know it doesn't really help now but there is a good chance you will carry this bub much longer. Are they keeping you on progesterone? I think bed rest will help. Gravity wont be your friend. I cant imagine the stress you must feel with your normal lifestyle and that of your DH and DD being interrupted and the stress of what could happen. I wish I could give you some of my weeks if that makes sense. I will be thinking of you and praying the weeks keep ticking away xxx.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thanks so much Mildez. It is really helpful to read your post.
xx
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Oh WW I am so sorry you are having to deal with something so stressful. Your almost 24 weeks right?
Keeping everything crossed your bub a stays put and happy for another 5 or 6 weeks minimum
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I'm crossing everything for you too WW xox
Just remember they are onto it and you are getting good help. I agree with lots of lying down rest. It can't hurt in this situation. And remember the anxious feelings are just feelings. Ride the wave of feeling and let bit pass. You might find some stuff on the happiness trap website helpful to deal with those feelings. I've found it's really helped change the way I think about emotions (although I went to some training on ACT which is the type of therapy it is).
Will be stalking and crossing everything for all of you xoxox

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Still thinking of you WW and praying things are progressing well.

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hiya all. Thanks for the mention Mildez! Congrats mummas on your precious pregnancies. I am with child too. Yay. Stitch in 3 weeks ago. Now in hossy with threatened miscarriage ...heavy bleeding, cramping...I was totally petrified on Friday but having several good scans since showing baby alive is giving some hope. Only 16 weeks.....a long long road ahead.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Congratulations Dory. I am so happy to hear your expecting again but also sad to hear things have been so tough. I wish I could give you some of my weeks too. Do they know where the bleeding is coming from? Sounds very very scary. I have been so fortunate that my problems have only been early in the pregnancy and conceiving. Sending you all the sticky vibes in the world xxx
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
WW just wondering how you are going?
Not much longer for you Mildez, does it feel real yet that your bub will be here soon,?
Congrats again Dory, wishing you a smooth uneventful journey from here til 40 weeks
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....I am home now but still bleeding intermittently... mostly fresh blood but some old blood and clots. The cramping has eased which is a relief. No real answers. Baby is well on scan....active, good heartbeat, lots of fluid. There may be a hindwater leak...it's not clear. Obs suspects some bleeding on the edge of the placenta. No big abruption on scan. It would be nice not to have the drama....but I am not totally petrified now....but the feeling of being in limbo is tough as is thinking it's 10 long weeks to even get to viability and after seeing Blessed at last's journey with Jett baby button that prospect is really daunting...of a 25 weeker gest NICU journey but the alternative too is hard. So not really any wins unless baby hangs on a lot longer. But here I am 6 days later and I didn't think I would be, so that's a small miracle....and the midwives seem to think so too. Fingers crossed for 10+ weeks longer. On a plus cervix looks great.
Thinking of you in this heat.
Thinking of you we and hoping you are traveling OK.

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mumma T yes it feels very real now with the prospect of going into labour any day. Not so much the bringing the baby home part. I think that will be a shock. I am so not prepared for looking after another bub. I think because I am still working I have not had any time to mentally prepare for a baby. Or even have the physical aspects ready. I should have gone on leave sooner as the exhaustion is extreme and when I get home I can't even do the basics. Its all I can do to recover enough to go to work again the next day.
Dory I am so pleased to hear things are stable for now and am praying for both you and WW that things become uneventful and your babies hang in for so much longer. Hopefully the bleeding stops completely. Do you have some help with the girls? It would be hard to take it easy. I am going well. I have absolutely nothing to complain about :)

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mlidez.... saw the Obs today and baby looks good in scan, plenty of fluid, plenty of movement, great trace and lovely to hear the heartbeat. Bleeding is now old manky blood! Yay! And usually only scant. Only complication from having me do a happy dance is that we've all had a nasty virus that has kept me almost bed ridden with aches and pains and a wicked sore throat and headaches and fatigue. DH and RB had similar symptoms... oh dear, poor wee RB, no wonder she was so miserable. HB seems to avoided the achey part of it and just gone to a croup like cough. So I rather suspect there are some more sleepless nights ahead before I can feel rested again. So I've stopped the meds to assist with clotting ( an attempt to stop the bleeding) and just on AB's now. I next see the Obs for a scheduled visit in a week. A whole week! I am hoping for blissfully boring from here too..... I won't hold my breath. I seem to attract drama in pregnancy. I was talking with one of the middies today and my notes say I lost at least a cup of blood.
You have plenty to complain about. The extreme exhaustion and the feelings of just barely functioning are so hard, especially when you're used to doing so much. Can't believe your little one could be here so soon.... Your ticker says 20 days to go! OMG. Babies honestly don't need much. A place to sleep, some clothes ( and not many in this heat), some muslin wraps, their mumma and their family. Oh a car seat to get home from the hossy. Apart from that, you don't need much else. So excited for you.
Are you hoping to go into labour spontaneously? Who have you lined up to mind the kidlets? When I was in hossy on my "mother's holiday" ( ie I did squat all and was waited on hand and foot) a woman came in about midnight and I heard a little toddler voice..... she ended up having a caesar and the Dad couldn't go with her into theatre as there was no one to mind the toddler.
WW - how are you doing?
Oh and I changed my signature, I guess it's official now, we're expecting! And today is 17 weeks! After the events of Friday before last no way did I think I'd get to say that. Woot woot.
Oh and WW another for you...... we have 3 cats too, and one is so highly anxious that the vet has prescribed prosac for cats for him. The only thing is remembering to give the poor creature his meds..... of course he won't take it in food, even foul smelling anchovy paste ( though he will eat it sans meds) , so we have to give the meds (liquid) orally, which he hates.
Oh and on another note..... I saw some of the quilts that my MIL makes for the SCN on the isolettes when I was at the hossy today. So colourful and bright. It was so nice to see. I can't sew to save myself, but my MIL loves quiltiing and since about December 2012 has been making quilts for the isolettes in SCN. Sadly a whole bunch of them never returned from the laudnry service but luckily she is a prdigious quilter. Anyhoo, I am off to make use of this child free non bed ridden time I have on my hand just now. .... aka the reason for the longer post and the signature change. LOL

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Nice to hear from you Dory. I am glad things have settled to a few degree's and I continue to have everything crossed they remain so. Hope the virus in the house buggers off. Just what you all need.
Yes due in 20days. I have been very guilty of expecting bub to arrive at any moment lol. Because my last two were around my current gestation. This bub I believe is much smaller so I guess I am hanging in for the long haul. With my last bub my Ob was keen to induce me around 38weeks but it wont be necessary with bub expected to be significantly smaller (shoulder dystocia). All my labours have been spontaneous so expect the same thing this time. I am nervous about it but also very keen to meet this little person. Nervous things will go wrong and keen just to hurry up and do it. Sad too that I will never do it again but also relieves to be closing this chapter of our lives. The thought of ttc again makes me feel ill.

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hi Everyone!
Thanks Mildez, Dory, MummaT, Lee, My Turn for all the well-wishes. How is everyone?
Mildez, not long at all now! So this one is a bit smaller? Hoping for a nice uneventful delivery. How are you going? When the baby comes, you will just manage. Some friends of mine foster newborns and they get like a few hours notice sometimes, and they just run and get everything (different if you've been in labour etc) but whilst it is nice to feel prepared, we can manage somehow. I often imagine if a baby was left on the doorstep. I guess this is from years of infertility.
Dory, nice to meet you and congratulations on reaching 17 weeks. Great to hear that the bleeding has settled down. Hope you feel a bit better soon. My DH and DD are both really sick with tonsillitis and on ABs too, and me on partial bed rest. Are you on bed rest?
AFM, I have an appointment next Tuesday. I can't come on here very often because I am trying to lie down a fair bit. I feel ok, but some days I get really caught up in worry about "what if" this happens or that. Today I am mainly thinking about the very sad events in Sydney though.
lots of love and peace to all,
WW

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
WW I am so thrilled to hear from you and that bub is cooking along nicely. It wasn't long ago that you didn't know if you would still be pregnant now. Hopefully in another few weeks things get easier for you. Yes I have been upset today too about the events in Sydney. I was hoping to wake up to good news. So incredibly sad on so many levels.
Yes not far away now. I am just waiting for some sign this bub is going to arrive. Obviously it would still be a month away. That's the problem with having had early bubs before once you get to that gestation your expecting the baby to arrive. Almost finished work at the end of the week. It would be a relief if it wasn't straight into Christmas.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez - yes, the waiting now would seem soooooo long. YAY for 1 more sleep til no more work for a while!
WW - thankyou. Sort of "resting". There is no firm evidence to suggest that bed rest actually assists, although even having known that I still spent close to 7 months on bed rest for my 1st rainbow's pregnancy, some of which I tried to be inverted for. And from 27 weeks for my second rainbow's pregnancy. When there is nothing else, at least "bed rest", feels like you are doing something.
But the risk of DVT and other health risks from being so inactive, and the emotional difficulty and isolation of bed rest make it very tough. So for the first 2 weeks after this bleed, I was on pretty much strict bed rest. But I was so tired physically and emotionally that it was quite easy. I remember feeling very acutely that anything I did, would "kill my baby". And I even felt like that just recently and even today.
It's a tough gig. So is feeling so apart from your own family and not being able to "do things". I can't pick them up to cuddle them, we can't do our usual activities. But we'll get there. It's worth it, even though it's hard.
I am resting now... so as of today. So I sit a lot, I lie a lot, but interspersed with light activity. Today I hung some washing out for the first time since the bleeding started. I sat on the floor and washed some low windows that have mucky hand prints on them and I have been meaning to clean for 3 months. I washed up. Sounds pretty darn exciting huh?
I haven't left the house since Sunday when DH drove us to the park and I sat and they all played. Though when I am feeling better I will drive to the park and sit on the seat while the girls play. Luckily they have been sick too so they are happy enough to take it easy. Though I think they are feeling better.... they took over the cleaning of the windows and are now sweeping and now are chasing bubbles outside. LOL. It's hard too. DH can't stay off work indef to help me out, so I am at home alone. We have no family close by to help. And my two best friends are both moving away. DH has a sister about 20 mins away and she would help, but the same day the bleeding started for me, she was in emergency, and then ended up having an emergency hysterectomy. She's recovering now, but it's a long road for her. We had arranged to interview a Nanny, who could help out a few hours every couple of days, but we cancelled as we were so sick. Hopefully next week before Christmas so we can at least get everyone used to each other.
But look at you, 25 weeks. No one wants a NICU journey but it certainly gives me some comfort to get to the gestations where survivability is even spoken about, and then the stats look good for. Though pre term labour is not the only hurdle in pregnancy.... and that's the thing that is soo darn hard, on top of everything else.
As you can tell from my LONG post.... I have had a fair bit of time to "sit" down just now.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hi all,
WW yeah 26weeks. I truly hope things are going well for you and during the festive season you have some help with your DD and around the house.
Dory how is the resting going? Do you have your morphology scan soon? I hope the bleeding has gone and the sickness in the house too.
AFM I am terribly uncomfortable. Trying not to complain. I am exhausted and aching all over. Worried about going into labour in this state as I am so tired and nothing has even started yet. I feel so lethargic and weak I don't know if I could even hold a newborn right now let alone push one out. Worried there is something more serious going on for me to feel so terrible. Maybe its just the festive season, heat, pregnancy etc. I see the Ob tomorrow. Probably need to have my iron checked and thyroid etc.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Doing ok MILDEZ.... saw the Obs today... pre term delivery after viability was mentioned out loud today..... so after some initial shock, I am action stations in trying to prepare ourselves. But I seriously need to get some more clothes! And get some baby stuff washed and ready..... just in case, be it for an angel or a NICU baby. Sickness is lingering, esp when we are tired. But generally getting better.
Hope you get some answers... low iron is a possibility as is thyroid. It's miserable to feel that fatigued. Hope baby waits til after Christmas for you too.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Perked up a bit this afternoon. See the Ob tomorrow. I will see what he says. Probably just a waiting game and I'll see how I feel after this bub is born.
I am really sorry to hear what the Ob said today. I hope to God he is wrong and just stating the worst scenario. As always I am praying for you and the family and your tummy bub stays put for a few months yet. Praying hard that you don't have another angel baby or extreme prem.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Dory I hope things have settled down and bub is hanging in for the long haul.
WW I hope everything is going well for you too.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....phew no Christmas day bub for you! I thought I had replied to your post so I apologize if it seemed like I was ignoring you. It's hard to tell....I don't think I have felt Popsicle move as much, I thought perhaps the bleeding had stopped today but had a huge gush as I was laying down with the girls before bed, and I think I am a bit crampy tonight. I am just chilling now and wondering if I will be visiting the hospital tonight.
So FX things settle and it's just wind. Seems my bowels make me feel crampy before they move. Is that TMI ?
This is so hard but at least it wasn't a Christmas Day baby.
How are you feeling?
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I am feeling well Dory. I definitely feel like I am having contractions or an irritable uterus just before a bowel movement. If there is some blood pooled high in the vagina a movement will also push that out. I hope that is all it is. Still praying with everything I have this baby of yours is a sticky one. I can't imagine what your going through. Your in my thoughts and prayers that's for sure.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thanks Mildez....there was some bowel movement action after a few hours. So slow and a long time coming. Things did settle after that. Still think I need some reassurance though....Now I have the thought in my mind that Popsicle isn't moving as much it makes me focus on that. It can be hard....but I don't really know any different. The hard thing is the constant balancing of the fears with calm.
Ohhh, are you enjoying being the most pregnant you have ever been? 39 weeks! It must be good thought to be starting to have some action/sensation in the labour department. Are you experienced with labour or have you needed intervention before?
A friend of mine with two full term pregnancies has never experienced the urge to push. Not for want of trying. First time, twin pregnancy she was induced at 38 weeks or 37. No labour so emergency cs. Not sure about her second, pretty sure she had a cs. Even though my natural births were my angels, I am still grateful of the experience. That urge to push is so amazing and primal.
Hoping you have a lovely birth experience as you welcome this precious baby to the world. Sqeeeeal, so excited for you. How are the small people at home about the imminent new arrival?
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Yes for sure. I always found the 18-24/25weeks the hardest emotionally and I have not had complications before at that gestation.
All my labours have started spontaneously although I needed to be sped up with the last due to infection (her HR was too high although my waters had broken 2days before) I was labouring just not fast enough. I only got the urge to push with my 2nd. The 3rd was too big and in a bad position and became a bit complicated at the end. And my first I think they encouraged me to push before I was ready so I didn't have that urge. I don't have any particular requests. Just want to be well and bub at the end of it. And I don't want anyone telling me the gender of the baby.
The older kiddies surprisingly have been very patient. More so then me. Especially my 4yr old who has been so excited that there will be another baby when Santa comes. That was a bit of a boo boo to tell her that. Although last night she told me when I see the Dr next they will cut it out with scissors and stick me back together with sticky tape. We have told her babies usually come out your vagina but she can't comprehend that theory. Santa isn't a big thing in our house but we have this joke now that mum was on the naughty list this year hence why no baby.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....hilarious.....I am so excited for you. It will be much easier on you physically once baby is here. I love a sweet surprise....just love the mystery and excitement.
Still the saga continues here....bleeding less but not always old brown blood. Popsicle has been moving more...yay. I am getting a cold! Don't mind feeling under the weather but there is a cough.... a lot of coughing. I feel so vulnerable and fragile when I cough...so hoping that passes quickly. Think I need to boost my immune system.
Tho woke up to an extra in our bed at 3.30 ...nice snuggles. But hopefully I can get back to sleep now for a little bit. One of the cats, one of the children and DH and I....
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Is there anything safe you can take for a cough Dory? You would think I should know wouldn't you? Coughing right now is not going to help the bleeding. I love seeing your ticker getting further along. Its been about 3 weeks since I first read your post and what was happening. I know there is still a long way to go. I just hope every week does come and go with your Popsicle still inside. Do they know whee the bleeding is coming from? Is it placental? I just remember a woman who had really severe bleeding from 14weeks (her other pregnancies were uneventful) it was coming from her cervix and nothing to do with the baby. It wasn't a good story for her although the baby was fine and was born at a later gestation without complications. I know that's probably unlikely but always safer to be coming from mum.
Not much to report. Over the family. DH has relatives coming to stay due to a sudden death in the family. I just want them all to F off. He can't see why its a problem. I have been bleeding since yesterday. Its ramped up today although the discomfort I had yesterday is gone. I am currently not coping with my own household full of people and no escape so he thinks adding more is fine. He has taken off up the paddock, the house is trashed. I feel like going to hospital and pleading with them to admit me so I can sit in peace away from it all and let him deal with it. I am over the phone calls and people asking whats going on. He goes and hides to tell his family what's happening. I like my privacy. I don't want them to know anything except I am still pregnant until the baby is out. He says they need to know to support us with the older kids. Well they have been local for a week and I assure you they have only made my job harder. I've had no help at all only more jobs and requests and criticism. I just can't shake this angry feeling. I am now at the point if anything else happens I don't even want to tell DH. Because he mose well just broadcast it on facebook. I just don't get what part of him thinks its ok to tell people what is coming out my vagina. If the baby comes in the next day or two I will be having a very LOOOONG hospital stay just to have a break from him. Let him deal with everything at home. I told him I am sick of the lack of support and the way I feel right now I don't even want him present for the birth. Well that didn't go down well. He took the kids for an hour last night and I guess he thinks that's his good deed for the month. His normally not like this just its his holidays and the only time he gets off work so he wants his time too. He is also frustrated the baby isn't here and we have not gone away for a break which is what he looks forward to the most every year. And his family are usually not here. I know its hard for him too but right now I am finding it hard to care about what's going on with him.

Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Big hug mildez Xox it sounds stressful xox
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Hugs Mildez, vent it all out, you will feel better for it. Hope your bubba arrives soon
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Oh sweetie that sounds very hard. The end is so close and I remember that feeling of wanting no one around well.
I hope they all leave soon xx
I'm just popping in here officially also :)
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
So pleased to see you back in here Joeve. Wishing you an uneventful happy pregnancy.
Unfortunately things went pear shaped shortly after my post yesterday. Got abused by MIL within a few minutes of her arriving. In her usual style she waited until DH left the room. Once I told DH which was hours later of course he thinks I am exaggerating it. So we are not talking now and I spent almost all night crying. I look like a freak. My face is so swollen and I can hardly open my eyes. Then I got a migraine and in amongst all this somehow not only did I have my own 3 children I had SIL's too whilst everyone went to town. I don't even know how I am going to drive the 100plus kms to the Dr today DH can't take me as he is pall-bearer at the funeral. I need to go as today marks day 3 of bleeding and now I am not convinced I am not leaking amniotic fluid making the volume I am loosing look more then perhaps it is. The toilet water this morning was heavily blood stained. Bub is moving around and I am not actively bleeding. More like something is pooling in the vagina and tend to drain out when I sit on the toilet. I expect the Ob today will want to intervene or at least make a plan to intervene. Just need to last 48more hours so MIL ****es off home.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Is there a neighbor or friend you could ask to drive you? I agree it sounds like you need checking over.
As far as the stress deep breaths deep breaths.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Oh Mildez......... sweetie not only are you heavily pregnant over summer, it's also Christmas, and you have MIL and SIL to deal with on top of everything! I would be going bonkers too. Poor form on your MIL, shame on her. I am sorry that you feel so unsupported. A pregnant woman is a godess .... doesn't feel like it does it?
Whether you look a wreck or not..... drive to the Obs.... please? I know it's hard and super inconvenient but please just do it. The combination of things needs to be looked at.
And maybe some relief from being at home would be good? Is there anyone who can mind the kids, so you can go alone? I know going alone isn't fun, but it seems that's going to be the situation and it seems being solo would be more soothing for your soul anyway.
Please go.... go now.
Cough seems like it's developing into bronchitis, so probably back on AB's.... but it's not yet at the stage of being a chest infection. If I go to the Dr now, past experience tells me, there will be nothing there, but there will be in a day or so. Seems to be the way my chest infections progress. So for now just puffers.
Moeve... congrats lovely. Hope you have a text book boring pregnancy all the way to term.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Sorry for the lack of personals. Currently in hospital with an APH. Just want them to do something but as baby is stable on monitor they are taking the wait and see approach. OT is busy and labour ward is full. Whilst we are both stable they don't want to risk doing anything to cause a crisis due to skeletal staff available.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Sorry for my ignorance but what is APH?
Keeping everything crossed that it all goes smoothly and stress free from here for you Mildez. Thinking of you
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Mildez....glad you went in and that things are stable. Hope you are holding your bubba in your arms soon.
Mumma T...it's great you don't know...it's a bleed. Just can't think of the exact words. Be back in a sec. The middies said I had one but technically they are after 20 weeks.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
I thought it was this....antepartum haemorrage...usual causes placenta praevia or abruption but not the only causes. And usually from 24 weeks, though some say 20 weeks....any bleeding from the vagina. So hospital is the best place to be.
Mildez....apparently if you are a cardiac patient there are better outcomes whilst hospitals are on skeleton staff.....so hoping that better outcomes apply to maternity wards during skeleton staffing.
-
Re: Pregnancy after Miscarriage or Loss #9
Thanks Dory.
Oh and welcome to the thread Joeve, technically I'm stalking, I just am not very quiet about it oops haha
