Ooooooooooooooooooooh WTH!!! Tomorrow!!! Hope you are travelling along ok in the lead up All the best hun - it has been so lovely sharing the journey with you. So close to holding your very much longed for and very precious bub in your arms - I'm almost getting teary, don't think I can blame the hormones anymore (lol!)
I can't wait to see your BA....
And congrats to erybery and babymiracles on the birth of your precious baby girls Ella and Molly (gorgeous names) - what a run of pink bundles it's been in this thread!
I am a bit late but also wanted to wish WTH all thew best for today. She may well have had bubs by now so hoping all went well and there are some wonderful cuddles going on.
Congratulations to all the lovely ladies who have given birth since I was last on.... seems like it has been a busy few months. Erybery, Easha, Karen, babymiracles, Chappas....... WELL DONE!!! Your miracles are safely here and thats a HUGE achoievement
Also wanted to thank you all for the well wishes since Holly's arrival. She actually came home 2 weeks ago and doing wonderfully now. Loves the boobies so has stacked on the weight since leaving the hospital and the darn night bottles. I think its criminal that women cannot stay in hospital with their premmie babiesespecially when breastfeeding but thats a whole different topic!!
She is soooo much more settled than my DS ever was so really enjoying her. Guess after such a nightmare pregnancy, she really needs to give me a bit of a break now!
Having some pangs of sadness thin king about her angel twin. There were lots of twins in special care with her and I found that quite tough to deal wth every day. DS has also strangely been asking about "the other baby" and its not something we have talked to him much about.
I am forever grateful to have our miracle girl, however, she is just so precious.
Ooh baby calling... gotta go!
I have been MIA for a couple of days and it seems that I have missed loads.
Firstly a huge CONGRATS to all the latest Mamma's, for the safe arrival of the their bubs. Erybery, Easha, Karen, babymiracles, Chappas.
AFM- I had my amnio today, feeling a little crampy but all in all the procedure seemed to go well. We will have wait and see over the next couple of days whether I have any bleeding etc, but feeling positive. We elected to get the FISH results (for an additional $175- of course), which means rather than waiting 2 weeks for the results I can get some of them in 48 hours. DH and I are feeling a little apprehensive but a hopeful that all will go well. Will let you all know when I get the results.
josh'smum - pleased it went well for you yersterday. the results all come back quickly and positively helping you to be able to relax and enjoy the rest of your beautiful pregnancy
I know it's been forever... but a little birdie suggested I pop in here to follow up on some special friends that have had some special deliveries! Huge, huge, HUGE Congrats to jenushka, erybery, and babymiracles on the births of your long-awaited baby girls!!! If there's more that I missed, I apologize.... I only read thru the most recent page of posts!
Is WTH still around here somewhere? I sure do miss you girls! XOXOXOXO
Thanks small fry. It's z-star, although I'm pretty sure she is away until late tonight and then has her amnio tomorrow, so probably isn't reading. I have everything crossed for her.
josh'smum - Glad to hear the amnio results were good
Just a quick one from me as I think I've hit nesting.. I've got a load of washing on and feel like I need to clean the study, wash more dishes, and hang out some clothes (gee, sure does sound like nesting doesn't it?) We went out last night (DH and I) and I had the most horrible cramps - all over the place, though I've still had no show, no missing plug... nothing, so I'm thinking it was because I hadn't eaten for so long.. Cramps today seem to have died down a little, but still getting them pretty constant. to you all - hope your all well
wow exciting times for you LizJessie Quite possibly braxton hicks with the cramps. I had them excessively in the week prior to birth with both my girls. With my second it was 15 mins apart all night every night for a week then would stop during the day. Make the most of the time you have to rest up for the birth as well as finalising everything and good luck!!
Thanks Smallfryplus! I've been getting them very mildly throughout last week, but yesterday and today were the absoulte worst! I'm hoping it means things are underway (DH asked me to make it tomorrow because he doesn't wanna go to the sports carnival because he's got shot put duties - I told him I have no control over it!)
long time - no bellybelly! i have been away at my buddhist meditation 10 day retreat which was just awesome. anyway, enough about that........
CONGRATS TO ERYBERY & BABYMIRACLES AND YOUR LITTLE GIRLS!!!!!
FANTASTIC MASSIVE GREAT NEWS JOSH'SMUM!! I am so happy for you. I was thinking of you tuesday and have been deperate to get on line and see how you went. soooooo happy for you. sending you a big big hug!
afm - had my amnio this morning. it all went really well. it was a lot less dramatic then i thought. felt the local anasetic a bit but the amnio needle ect just felt like a little pressure. wasn't bad at all. dh is in perth for work so mum came with me. was great to see bubba with bones and everything else. they did an indepth scan and they were happy with all the stats and it has a nasal bone so that is a good sign too. coming up to the week end i may not get the results until monday but i'm not fussed. i am 100% that everything is ok. i haven't seen dh for 13 days now so i am sooo looking forward to seeing him late tomorrow night when he gets home. i'm staying with mum and resting up watching dvd's today and will take it easy tomorrow. have a big of niggling every now and then but nothing to complain about.
i hope everyone is going well. great to be back online. have missed you all!
So... I think I've hit nesting.. This is what I did:
Yesterday I did 3 loads of washing and the dishes, so that's when it started... Today I've done the following.
* Washed the dishes, and scoured the house for dishes TO wash
* Swept the floor in the kitchen
* Cleaned (as it roughly washed as I couldn't find the mop at the time) the kitchen floor
* Cleaned the kitchen cupboard doors
* Cleaned the kitchen benchtops after doing the dishes
* Brought in all 3 loads of washing in one go from yesterday and folded them all up (yet to put them away)
* Made up bubs bassinette in the bedroom, complete with waterproof sheet for under the sheet on the matress, the sheets and blanket.
* Went food shopping + put away all the food.
* In the process of putting the food away, I got sick of the state of the pantry that I re-arranged everything + threw out outdated stuff
* Wrote down what meal bases we had in the pantry
* Found a couple more cups around the house and put them in the sink to wash while making dinner
* In about 2 minutes I'll be getting up and making dinner (late, but that's how we like it!)
Finally sat down for about an hour, but been so restless.. I just wanna get up and do stuff!
*phew!*
My MIL says that she would not be surprised one bit if she hears something was going on tonight or tomorrow.. I kinda hope its tomorrow, but not getting my hopes up.
Have had the worst nights sleep out of the last three nights last night.. The pains were horrible, the cramps unbearable and I just couldn't sleep properly! I'm just hoping things are progressing, because I wouldn't want all these pains coming and going for no progress.
Hope all you ladies are well, sorry bout the selfish post
