Hi gals -
I finished up at work yesterday, was very werid knowing I won't be going back for at least a year and even then only part time. But Im very excited to start this new phase of my life!!!!
Karen - so glad to hear the news of Joss' birth!
Meredith - Congrats on the birth of Holly, it warmed my heart thinking of what you have gone through to get to this happy place!
Chappas - How is Daniel doing?
Pash - can' help ya with the cramps in labour question though the braxton hicks Ive been experiencing just tighten up my tummy muscles.
LJ - Nice to see you in here!
Baby miracles - I've been getting the same pains your describing, and like you just want to meet my baby! Good to see your happily set up in your new home.
HannahD - I have had lots of period pain like cramps that have come and gone too, hope they stop for you soon as very uncomfortable.
Juleswa - It is lovely you have come to join this thread, I remember you from the other thread too, I hope you see good rises in HCG levels, I TOTALLY understand how anxious you are feeling at this time.
Megsmum, WTH, Z-Star, Bimboo, Easha - :D

Pash - with DD, my waters broke and the contractions came on strong, close together and straight away. When the contractions came they were breath-takingly intense and I could not walk during them. They took over my entire body, but were mostly centred on my stomach and back. Many hours later we found out I was having "back labour", as DD was in the posterior position. I spent most of my (drug-free) labour in the bath and shower - it really helped. This is only my experience, but for me it was not the build up of contractions gradually getting stronger and closer together over some hours that I had anticipated. And unlike a leg cramp (which for me is a sudden pain that comes out of seemingly nowhere), I would feel each contraction coming on and building like a crescendo, then tapering off. Just thought I would share ;)
-
erybery - Thought I'd pop in here.. Been meaning to :p
Karen - Congrats on the birth of Joss :)
pash - I've got no idea myself, but its something I'd like to know too - because I've been told about all these Braxton Hicks and how they feel like period pain, but I've had none whatsoever. Never being in labour myself, I'd find it pretty interesting :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Chappas - on the birth of Daniel:bluecheer:

Hi Girls,
sorry haven't got time for persies as have to shoot off to a wedding, but just thought i'd let you know that i got my 2nd hcg test back this morning which was 311. so at 14dpo i was 92, and at 16 dpo 311. i'm stoked with that and it has helped me feel a bit more relaxed. i've got one more bt request but i might take that in about a week and half just to check it's still going along well. then a scan in 2.5weeks. feeling very positive at the moment and going off to have a fun day.
thanks all

Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking just not posting.
Congratulations on the safe arrival of Joss and Holly Karen Van and Mererdith  FANTASTIC NEWS!
Chappas: how is Daniel doing?
Pash: every labour is different. With DS for me it was like period cramping or that cramping you get if you are busting to have a poo (sorry if TMI). It started off pretty mild and then ramped itself up to the most intense pain I have ever experienced, and inbetween contractions you feel normal- very weird. From there it moved into my back as well. I didn't get any leg cramping though. As painful as it is, I can't wait to go through it all again.
Z star: Hoping that the results from your NT scan and amnio are ok. If it helps a girlfriend of mine had a 1:150 chance of downs with her scan. They decided that they would still have the baby anyway so didn't do any additional testing, they went on to deliver a little girl in January without Down's. I'm really hoping that it is the same for you.
AFM: I have my NT scan in a week, I am really nervous about it because of my missed mc last time. In saying that I am still vomitting every day so  that their is a healthy little being causing that.
Hi to everyone else erybery, juleswa, lizjessie, wth, hannah d, baby miracles and anyone else I might have missed.
Cheers

Greenslw - could't believe m eyes when I checked your ticker! 22 weeks already, time is REALLY flying!
-
how exciting. all these little babies!!!! i love it!
congrats Karen Van on your arrival of Josh! Enjoy your little bubby!
welcome juleswa. i remember you from the ttcml thread. great to see you in here. i hope all is going well with your hcg levels. the emotional rollacoaster continues. funny how we go from stressing about ttc then stressing about being pg. i makes me laugh at times.
big hi to everyone. so many in here now and some so close to having their bubbas! it gives me goose bumps. i lurk everyday and read what is going on.
afm - saw ob yesterday about nt scan results. we have booked in for amnio 15th october. i am still in 2 minds but just trying to let the thoughts come and go and not freak out too much. dh has been excellent. ob is saying he thinks amnio is a good idea because of 2 triggers - nt reading and my previous m/c. i can see what he is saying. i am 99% sure i wouldn't terminate and dh won't think about it till given results so at times i wonder why we are doing it. i have to think of my mental health for the rest of the pg and if i'm going to continue to worry then have the test, what is best for both baby, me and dh. lot to consider. i have heard many stories and asked for many opinions and i have them all now. i am 99% sure there is nothing wrong with my baby so at least the test wil confirm that and we can all get on with the happy healthy pregnancy. far out, you never expect this rubbish. anyway, it will be the first of many decisions that we will have to make as parents - even if we don't want to!
be good everyone. i just had to get that out! back to work now.
-
Zstar - It is good you have made up your mind about whether to do an amnio or not - these type of decisions add to doing your head in. 1/737 is a very good result - remember the combined reading with the BT is more accurate than the measurement alone. Just wondering if the operator commented on whether they could see a nasal bone (or not). Presence of the nasal bone is a soft marker, so not included in the result, however they are starting to take more notice of it in countries like the UK as an indicater that the baby does not have a trisomy such as Downs. I know you will find the next few weeks loooooong. We're here for you xx
Greenslw - hope the massage helped your back - and a pedicure - HOW FUN!!
Joshmum - the MS is a good sign (though I hope it is not too full on). GL with the NT :goodluck:
Juleswa :welcome: Great BT results. Wishing you a H&H PG :D
Mollycat - I love it when you drop in and I can suss out your ticker - enjoy Trimester 3 - will be over before you know it ;)
Erybery, Babymiracles, LizJesse and Easha - Not long to go now.....
Megsmum - "ding dong" ;)
:hello: to Pash, HannahD and anyone lurking or that I have missed
Karen, Meredith and Chappas - been thinking of you all on your babymoons. Hope you are getting lots of cuddles (and some sleep)
AFM - At last week's Ob appointment I was told bub was presenting very low and to rest at home (no shopping!). I asked again yesterday about bub's position and learned it was the same as last week - apparently 2/5 engaged. I don't think this is too much of a big deal, though have been getting a lot of period-like cramping and lower back-aches which might mean things are slowly getting into motion. So I am a bit house-bound ATM but grateful for every day my little bun gets to bake a bit longer.

hi All,
Thanks for welcoming me into the group. I'll admit straight up that i can be a very sporadic poster. sometimes heaps of posts, sometimes not for a while - so bear with me and know i'm not too far away. hee hee
WTH - good luck for the next few weeks. hope you're feeling ok and getting so excited I bet. so much to look forward to.
ZStar - good luck with the amnio decision. it is definately a hard one, but i think if it was me, i'd want to know. so that i could either relax knowing everything was ok, or start looking for info and into support etc if it was needed. i hope you make the right decision for you.
Greenslw - hope you enjoyed your pedicure and massage - sounds devine!
LizJessie - i love the caption on your ticker! cracked me up!
erybery - i loved that moment of finishing work. I was sad in a way to finish, but couldn't wait to start the next chapter of life. I know it sounds cliched but make sure you take a lot of time out for yourself and really nuture yourself over the next few weeks. the days of looking after just you are numbered - so enjoy it and enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy. i loved that time. loved the anticipation of meeting bubba being so close.
Pash - the only way i can build on a description of contractions, is VERY VERY VERY INTENSE cramps. like the worst period pain you can imagine and multiply by 10. but it's amazing how you cope and get through it. i think our women's natural inbuilt 'something' takes over and before you know it - you're holding your precious miracle.
Congrats to Chappas, Meredith and Karen Van on the safe arrival of your bubbas
Hi to Josh'smum and Babymiracles and anyone else i may have missed.
AFM - just settling in i think. not going to have another bt until next week and then a scan the week after that, which i'm definately counting down to. have the odd niggle and cramping sensation but trying to relax with it and enjoy it all as part of this fantastic process. If i hadn't loss our angel i would think they're all normal preg sensations anyway - so i'm running with that. Still temping too which helps to give a bit of piece of mind. did any of you still temp after you got your bfp? how long did you continue it for? i know i should probably stop, but i guess it's almost just part of my routine now and i kind of like knowing that temps are still high?????!!
Anyways - hope you're all having a fabulous Tuesday.
Jules

Juleswa - Congrats! I remember you from the TCCAML thread a while ago. Hope everything goes smoothly for you this time and I can't wait to see you posting about your baby :)
Hi to all others, I haven't posted in ages, seems to be a bit of a trend in the pregnancy forums! I think it's a good thing cos it indicates things are going well!! A little over a week here til we find out what colour baby we're having. I really hope it cooperates and shows us!
Hope everyone has a great day :)
-
smallfryplus: good luck with the big scan next week - it is so exciting finding out the sex
juleswa: glad to hear things are going okay and you are not worrying too much. Hoping the time before your first scan flys by, and that you then see a beautiful heart beating away
WTH: Glad things are going okay - enjoy the rest (although I think I am personally over resting - gives me too much time for worrying - tee hee).
zstar: thinking of you and praying all is okay when you have amnio on the 15th. It is such a difficult decision and I am so glad that I didn't have to make that decision with this pregnancy. Take care
greenslw: sorry to hear you are having trouble with your back - how annoying. Hope it is feeling better now. Adelaide weather seems to have gone back to winter hey - just attempted a walk with my dogs and as well as having to stop every two seconds with groin cramps we got soaked - bad idea I think :-)
Easha - any news yet? hope all is okay
Lizjessie, erybery - not long now - hope all is going well
:hello: to josh's mum, pash, molllycat, hannahD
:hello to the mums with new babies - megsmum, chappas, meredith and karen van
AFM: Now up to counting down in days rather than weeks. We are booked in for an induction on due date (frid oct 2nd) if baby doesn't come before then. Fingers crossed baby decides to come before next friday. Haven't been feeling too flash in last few days - headachey, nauseous, tired, groin cramps +++ and excessive thirst - but blood pressure okay at OB visit yesterday and no protein in urine - so just a part of being very pregnant I think. Anyway shouldn't complain as have been lucky to be very healthy throughout this pregnancy!

Hi All,
I am pleased to finally annouce the safe arrival of 'Jaida Grace' who was born 11.46pm Saturday 19th September. Jaida was 3.165kgs and 49cms long. She is perfect in every way.
We are home from hospital now after 20 hours of labour and several methods used to increase the strength of my contractions to bring Jaida into the world. After all the attempts to get her out we still delivered naturally which I am very pleased with.
Will tell you more over the coming posts. Congrats to any new babies born whilst I have been away.
