Meredith, just letting you know that I'm thinking of you, and can't wait to see Upsy's BA :). I hope you can hang on as long as you need to, 36 weeks sounds pretty good to me. Deb's advice is perfect, as per usual ;). Express now if you're able to, so she can have your colostrum in SCN. If I was still lactating I would offer you my BM! I hope all goes well, and that her stay in SCN is very brief. My 35 weeker wasn't in there for very long at all, I hope you have the same experience :). Good luck hun, although I don't think you'll need it ;).
-
Meredith - Replied to your PM. Sending you a world of well-wishes for the imminent arrival of Upsy Daisy. Can't wait to hear your good news :D
-
Meredith - just wanted to pop in and give you good wishes for Upsy's birth. I've been reading your story intently for months and it is so good to see you so close to the finish line. All the best.
TinaR - hope everything has settled for you.
WTH - Hi there, I'm still lurking - still watching you - glad to see everything is going well with your bub at the moment. Won't be long and we'll be reading your BA. Hope DD1 is feeling better (and you as well)
Easha - woo hoo. you're almost there. looking forward to your BA as well.
Megsmum - glad Emma is going so well, time to update some photos on FB.
Sorry to everyone I've missed - I haven't posted here for such a long time, although I lurk and check in on what is happening.
AFM - Cruising along just fine - one of those ridiculously easy pregnancies that you hate to read about - no m/s, my major problems have been back ache and headaches, and never ending tiredness. Bub is right where bub should be - growing at the right size for dates. Can't wait for December to get here, although November is going to be really busy. We've got a wedding (where I'm a bridesmaid), my DS1's school formal, DS2 is going to Canberra for a school excursion, DS1 will be off to schoolies (that is a frightening thought) and at some point in between all that I will need to finish work and finish sorting out bubs stuff.

WTH sorry to hear about your DD hope you and DD are going ok.
Mollycat great all is smooth for you someone has to have a pg like that may as well be you :D
Hope I haven't missed anyone, been ages in between posts sorry been a hectic week/month already. Supervisions monday with staff went well. All happy atm we'll see. Bumped into an Aunty I haven't seen in ages at a General Staff meeting cried and spent most of the time catching up not working oh well.
Squeak is going great, kicking me heaps.
Went to the physio and now wearing a big elastic band to bed cos my hips send pins and needles down my legs when I sleep. 1 hour turn 1 hour turn, pee, turn etc.
Sad news this week my Belly Buddy in the flesh had a MC  I'm so sad for her, 7-8 weeks, she told EVERYONE, her history of TTC is pretty rough and she was so over the moon, I'm hoping she follows in my footsteps and her baby miricle comes soon. Cake date tomorrow Arvo.
:grouphug: hope all you wonderful ladies are great.

Scan went great :) bub is spot on with dates (5wks 6days), HCG levels are through the roof and Zen's heartbeat was 107.49bpm!!
It looked like i had swallowed a diamond ring lol
no bleeding anywhere near Zen either which is a relief.
Thanks for all your thoughts!
Will do persies over the weekend
-
Tina - I'm so glad that Zen is doing well despite that scare. Woohoo for a great heartbeat!
babymiracles - Enjoy your baby shower tomorrow. Sounds like you could use some fun time out. Moving is exciting but so stressful at the same time. I suppose its easier now that after bubs arrival. Not long now.
megsmum - Glad you and Emma are doing so well. I hope Emma gets over her cold soon.
Easha & chappas - Am eagerly but patiently awaiting your birth announcements.
WTH - I was sorry to hear DD had swine flu. I'm glad she seems to be on the mend. Now if only I could say the same for you, poor thing . Dealing with a sick child, a cough and sciatica as well as the possibility of bubs coming early. I hope bubs hangs in there until your scheduled CS date. Take care of yourself.
Karen - You sound so organised for your birth. I hope it goes as planned. I'd prefer a homebirth, just because I think I'll cope better in familiar surroundings. But DH didn't want to consider it. He wants us to be where we need to be if anything goes awry. Instead, I'm going to try to stay at home as long as I can during the first stage.
Meredith - Have been reading and thinking of you and Upsy. An early arrival may not be ideal, but your doc obviously thinks its the best option. Sending loads of well-wishes for you and Upsy.
mollycat - Glad all is well with you. Its just as well you've had an easy pregnancy. The busy time ahead will make up for that!
Greenslw - I've been a little slow on the uptake too. I didn't realise you're in Adelaide until babymiracles mentioned it. Wow, that actually makes 3 of us! I'm so sorry to read of your friend's loss. At least she has an understanding friend in you.
:hello: & :bellyrubs: to zstar, josh'smum, kath26 (welcome & congratulations), erybery, lauren22, Theresa, Rach and anyone I've missed.
AFM - I met with my boss on Wednesday as it was time for our annual "planning, development and review" (really just university beaurocracy at his best). He actually wrote on my form under personal and professional objectives "pregnancy and outcome" then for outcome measure he wrote "BABY!" At least I work for a guy with a sense of humour. But it seems that I have to finish work at 34 weeks - there's no way around it. I want to work until 36 weeks but university policy demands I have a fitness for duty certificate to work beyond 34. Because I'm going through a midwifery clinic, the hospital policy is that my midwife can't give me a certificate because the hospital isn't prepared to be held responsible if something happens at work. This is ridiculous as I have a desk job based in hospitals, so if anything happens, I'm right where I need to be :wall:. So I have to finish up at the end of October, which means there won't be an opportunity for a handover because replacements for the 3 of us who are pregnant won't be starting until November (that's provided they get 3 as they have only just advertised). Oh well, at least then it won't be my problem anymore. Maybe I should just relax and enjoy the time off before bubs arrives. Everyone's predicting that bubs will arrive early anyway.
I actually felt a hand (or a foot) yesterday. I've been getting kicked/punched in the ribs on my right side the last few days. I'm trying to sit up straight at work to give bubs a little more room. Anyway, I could feel a pressure just under my rib cage which was a little uncomfortable. I pushed on that spot gently to try to relieve it and I felt this little lump that quickly moved away. I feel bad for startling her and have been paying for it since with lots of little nudges to my ribs. Some of them really make me jump!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

hi
tina - so glad everything went well. have been thinking of you.
greemslw - so sorry to here about your friend. it is so sad.
big hi to everyone else!
-
Tina - so glad your scan went well. What a relief ! Bleeding is always scary ( I am THE queen of bleeding in pregnancy) but often doesn't mean bad things
Thanks to all you other lovely ladies for the kind words and well wishes. I don't get on BB nearly as much as I would like but its so lovely to know I still have great friends out there.
Upsy is fine and still staying put thus far so just wasjing/packing etc etc prior to Thurs
-
Hi All,
Mollycat - yay for the easy pregnancy, mine has been quite similar which is nice after all the issues falling in the first place
Megsmum - cant believe Emma is 1 mth already !!
Greenslaw - I know what you mean by turn, 1 hr, turn pee lol.... so frustrating. Hope the pins and needles stop.
Tina - yay for a good scan
Hannah - what a bizarre workplace policy....... oh well more rest before bubs arrival
Meredith - not long now... maybe we will have our bubs on the same day??
AFM - think I had my 'show' last night - a big blob of goo with blood throughout (TMI). Current mums did you experience this and then how long was it before labour started?? My tummy is quite heavy today and feels like its sitting on my lap?? My time is near by the looks of it!!!
-
Easha - The same happened to me, then my waters broke the next day and I had DD1 about 9 hours later. Sounds like it won't be long until you are holding your little one - good luck!! Heaps of birthing vibes coming your way :D
-
Easha -how exciting!!!!! can't wait to hear your good news!!!
Tina - so glad everything looked great at the scan!
AFM - Bubs was 2.8kgs at my scan on Weds which they said is right on average so can expect a 3.5kg baby if born at term!
-
HannahD oh how exciting, I didn't think sa was represented much at all on BB :D your boss sounds awsome. Bit of shame bout no handover. How long you having off?
TinaR glad your scan went well
 Meredith and Upsy
Easha a client had that and two days later healthy baby girl. So baby's on the way How exciting...........
Erybery wow 3.5kg sounds so small. I'm so scared of a 4.5kg monster
ATM friends coming for tea. I keep saying to myself 'you need to say NO" but so far I'm not.
DF got a matress from work that was new but on the shelf for ages, thought it would be more comphy well, my back is stuffed. I couldn't even do the shopping without wincing. I did wear heals yesterday so I'm not sure which to blame, I want my old matress back. I told him not to change till bubs was out but mr inpatient! his back is bad too so if it's bad tomorrow I'm putting my foot down.
-
Meredith - Glad to hear Upsy is still comfy in there.
Easha - How exciting! Sounds like it won't be long now. Goodluck.
erybery - Great news. 3.5kg sounds perfect.
Greenslw - I get 6 months paid leave so am taking all of that plus probably a few extra weeks unpaid. My boss is also happy for me to return part time initially, which is great. Sorry the new mattress isn't bad for your back. We need a new mattress too. I'm comfy but DH has been sleeping in the guest bedroom as that mattress (a king single) is better for his back than ours.
-
HI Ladies
sorry been mia but just to let you know baby Daniel arrived on Thursday 10th and just got back from hosp.
Hope you are all well be back for persies later.
-
Congratulations! can't wait to hear more details!!!
-
Chappas - congratulations on the birth of Daniel - gladd to hear you are well
Easha - sounds very much like you had a show. With DS, I had mine about 48hrs prior to start of labour, Hope we hear some news from you soon!
AFM - Still hanging in. Intermittently having niggling pre-labour type signs but nothing progressing as yet. Have had my show over the last 2 days but not sure if this could have been precipitated by internal on the wed. Kind of hoping to go on my own prior to Thurs just to feel something happend "naturally"
