Ferals - OMG.. sweetie I am crying tears of happiness for you. Congratluations. Dear sweet Abbi is watching over you. I can only guess the fear and dread you're likely to be feeling - but my sweet - believe in this pregnancy and this baby, even if you can only beleive for today and can't envision the future. One moment, one day at a time. I didn't think it would, but the dread does lift.. and sometimes it's replaced by new fears. For me it wasn't until at least 24 weeks that I started to feel less dread. I still can't actually imagine having this bubs at home but I beleive and am thankful for the pregnancy every day. I do know what it's like to have lots of appointments and be classifed as high risk. I found I was anxious before EVERY appointment and scan to the point of feeling ill ( not m/s ). Only recently has that anxiety started to dimish and I actually "enjoy" the appointments.

Make sure you get a good ob and maternal fetal medicine specialist/perinatologist - as you will need all the suport you can get.

I am so so happy for you and wish you the confidence to beleive in the pregnancy, right at this moment.

    Thanks ladies.

It makes me feel welcome and more comfortable knowing a lot of you ladies know about the up hill battle we have had to get this far and the terrible anguish of knowing we have a 1 in 4 chance of having another baby with SLO i am just so happy at the moment to actually be pregnant again i didnt think it was going to happen i still run to the loo and check for blood and i keep poas and the lines on my FR are as dark as the control line and that is with night wee not FMU so that has to be a good sign.

Ashie-I hope everything is ok that is my biggest fear at the moment seeing blood or brown cm.

Dory-I have to go through royal north shore fetal medicine unit because that is where our geneticist is and the professor that oversaw my pregnancy with Abbi so they know our history and they have all the genetic info to test this babies DHC7 gene which is where the mutation is it is pretty full on and they are fantasic down there they did everything they could for us so i will put my trust in them again.

Ric-MWAHHHH! thankyou so much nice to see i have not been forgotten.

Hey ferrals, hunny, so good to see you in here! I was born at royal north shore, and I'm awesome, so I'm sure they'll do a great job with you It's a 3 in 4 of not having SLO, mate. The majority of pregnancies will be OK, keep on repeating that to yourself.

ashie - could be nothing my love. Hoping your scan reveals some good news.

dory - probably time to start imagining taking your baby home! It's getting closer and closer! So excited for you.

Had a hospy appointment yesterday, and it went so so so well. They'r still happy for me to be in the midwifery program, same midwife every visit for the rest of the pg, even with the placenta praevia. Yay. DH is feeling more and more kicks, which is awesome. Tomorrow is my baby shower at work, since I finish on Friday next week

How exciting that you are having the shower tomorrow!

Do they hope that the placenta will grow up?

    So glad to hear!

So is that the rule, fast HB girl slow boy? I can never remember. This baby has always been in the 160's???

Ashie-funny you mention the heart rate all my 3 boys heart rates were between 140 and 160 and when pregnant with Abbi her heart rate never fell below 180 so it will be interesting to see what this babies heart rate is i wont have to long to wait to find out the sex with the cvs we want to know as soon as they have the results.

Audax-I keep telling myself that there is a 75% chance all is normal so 3 chances out of 4 it will be healthy the way the geneticist put it was out of 100 women 75 will have a normal baby and 25 will have a SLO baby so i have a good chance as any to be one of the 75.
Isnt it nice when our DH can feel the baby move and yah! for finishing work.

AFM-well i made it past my AF date and my stim cycle AF date with no sign of spotting i feel good i keep needing to pee all the time and feel tired all the time so all good with me.
    Enjoy the weekend.

heart rate for old wives tales is for boys 120's to 140's sometimes to 150's, girls are alot higher their about 150's plus, so far its been correct for me, my sister they had a girl each both in the 160's and my friends their little boys were low too. its not always the case but it has been correct for us lol.
this bub is totally different to my boys and pregnancy totally different, with my boys bugger all m/s, i had cravings for salty foods, and they were huge lol always measured bigger with scans! they were also very hard to get a real dark BFP lmao!
this pregnancy i've had m/s before i got a BFP! and my BFP was at 12dpo, i crave sweets and salty foods blah, i cant even eat loads even thou ill be hungry, i just feel sick afterwards. this bub is measuring teeny lol but not to little only by first scan 4 days and 2nd scan 2 days so no date change as in normal range, it would be nice to have a not so huge bub. also i have had an outbreak of pimples lol.
no bleeding today only bled yesterday morning, but was such a relief to see no blood in the uterus or at baby, so no m/c, being 8 weeks 5 days i think it may be a break through had it with DS 2 at 8 week mark only one spot then nothing! dh has started the belly rubbing lol, he was rubbing belly last night and when we woke up this morning i roled over and he rubbed my belly! he's very excited!
