Cherished - I`m so sorry hun, yes I`d get another hcg BT just to make sure the levels are dropping, I had both a scan and HCG levels checked when I miscarried just before I conceived this little boy I`m carrying now.
Oh Cherrished I am so sorry  Hope the test help put your mind at ease.
Cherished - I am os sorry for your loss. No words can make you feel better but I hope our words gie you some comfort. Take care of yourself xxxx
Hello girls and BIG HUGS for all for being so wonderful! :grouphug:
The HCG from Monday (6 weeks and 2 days) was 650 whereas at 4 weeks 3 days it was 840 so there was no need for another HCG test. We got a referral for another ultrasound to get done after my 1st AF to make sure that everything is 'good to go again' and we got a referral for dh to get hes swimmers checked. dh is also calling my ob tomorrow to see if they can help with anything if we see him and dh is also calling a fertillity clinic which my ob is also a partner in.... So 'we will see'.
Thanks again everyone and take care xoxoox
Cherished  I'm so sorry.
Hi girls, just to let you know I had my NT scan - and got a measurement of 1.4mm - which is normal - waiting on the blood results next week - but at least so far so good. Lovely to see a happy wriggling little bub in there. Very relieved indeed.
Cherished - your DH sounds like a good man - taking care of you, hope you are doing okay, as good as you can. Hugs.

Hi All,
Just a quick question for those that came over from the TTC thread..... any one heard from Jen?? Jen doesn't seem to be posting in the TTC anymore.
Would love to here how she is going?
Hi Easha, Jen and some others have changed to another forum! if you pm me I think I got messaged the name of it.
afm - had a quick sacn with ob last night and baby is still looking good. Im actually not seeing him for 3 weeks now (instead of 2) so being ver brave!!! I have a cardiac scan in a week and a half anyways so will be able to check the bubs then!!!
Hello ladies! It has been awhile since I have been around the TTC forums, but it is good to see many of you have moved over to this one! Well, I got a BFP a week ago at 4w2d. I went in to have some blood work done and my hcg was 153 at 9DPO. I went back at 13 dpo and my levels went up to 930. At first I was incredibly relieved and thought I would be resting easy until my ultrasound (2 weeks from tomorrow), but today I am even more worried then I have been this whole week! I have absolutely no symptoms at 5w2d. I know it is normal to stress after having been through a m/c, and more than likely everything will be fine. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long to have an u/s! Please keep your fingers crossed for me! I will be keeping all of you wonderful ladies in my prayers.
~Hannah
hannah its great to see you in here!!!! I remember you from the other thread as we lost our angels around the same time! your levels sound great to me. My HCG at 11dpo was on 43 so yours are heaps higher!!! maybe your doc could do another couple of BT's before your sacn as that is what got me through the waiting till my 7 weeks scan. I had no symptoms at 5 weeks either except for being tired. The MS kicked in at 6 weeks for me. We all understand your anxiety and are here for you hun. xox
Hi everyone :D
:welcome: Hannah. Congratulations on your :bfp:. Wishing you a H&H 9 months ahead!
Cherished - have been thinking of you
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and manages to find some time to kick back and put their feet up!
WTH x
Congrats Hannah :leap: I know what you mean about the u/s my clinic said they can't see anyting sooner which doesn't help you wait but I guess it's best to wait for the Heart Beat to be clear.
good stuff Lee glad you got a scary one out of the way :D
ATM tired and really need more sleep than I'm getting dam IVF treatments grrr. Work good, family good and I'm just dying to tell the world but waiting for U/S monday to tell family then 13 weeks for the rest of the world but it's hard hiding my happiness.
Lee :leap: Yay! Glad you had a good scan and that bubba was bouncing around in there.
Erybery Yay for the extra scan! Can you feel bubs move now?
Hannah Congratulations!! Your HCG numbers sound great! You thought you were done with the tww? And here's a tww of a different kind! It's tough waiting. Got my :crossfingers: for you.
Greenslw It's a good problem to have hey? Trying to hide the happiness? Really happy for you too
AFM I had 4 heavy nose bleeds on Wed?! I spent so long in the ladies during the first 2 bleeds that I thought I'd better go home. Then I had another nose bleed on the bus on the way home, while wearing a cream jacket  and then another one at home in the afternoon. It's so weird, cos I haven't had a nose bleed for years, and now 4 heavy ones in one day. I suppose I am on aspirin and the pollution was really bad here on Wed thanks to a tube strike (everyone drove instead). The whole time though, I was just so grateful that the blood was coming from my nose and not elsewhere.
Hannah - Congrats on the BFP! :hooray: Wishing you all the best - I had no symptoms at your stage either so please, try not to stress.
pash - I have had nose bleeds on and off since about your stage too, my ob told me its quite normal for pregnancy. I am getting them quite often now :( and I got them with DD as well.
Cherished - again
Hi everyone else, hope you have a lovely weekend!
AFM, sorry for limited persies but have been a bit under the weather lately. I have been getting quite dizzy and that along with bad sinus at night, very little sleep and a 5 year old to look after - well you get the picture. Seeing my ob on Monday though, so we'll see what he has to say about the dizziness, I'm pretty sure its related to my sinus problems. Sorry to have a moan :( Just feeling a bit like I'm really ready to meet this baby.
Hanah - huge congratulations to you!! The waiting in early pg is horrible after a m/c. Jus try and keep yourself busy and hopefully you will see a little HB very soon
Greenslw - wishing you all the best for tomorrow's scan. You can rejoice in being even happier still!
Pash - eewwww nose bleed - bit messy eh? My DS gets them a lot and always at night on nice clean sheets! As megsmum has said, it i common in pg particularly if you have a tendancy anyway. My first sign of pg is always some nasal congestion/bleeding
Megsmum - sorry you are feeling so unwell. I can understand how tired you must be. Hopefully the OB has some helpful solutions for you
WTH - just saying hi! Hope you are travelling ok and getting fatter as we speak
AFM - still plodding along. Pain is on and off but coping ok at present. Feeling very heavy for this stage of pg and little energy. Dread to think how I will be if this baby hangs out until term!
Pash - I think im feeling bubs move, but still nothing I could say, Oh thats the baby moving! hopefully it will get stronger in the next few weeks! Hope the nose bleeds stop.
Greenslw - Thinking of you at your scan tomorrow!!
hi ladies :) Yesterday morning I got my BFP! Finally :) 5 weeks today and have known for some time that it was coming, just wanted to get past today as it's when I MC a couple months ago. Haven't put up a ticker yet... waiting to get BT done by doc. Ringing tomorrow morning to make an appointment. woohoo!
Yay smallfryplus!!! Im so glad you could join us in here.
me too :) thanks erybery!
Hey, question... how long til I stop peeing every 5 minutes? I have no recollection of this being a problem last two times...!!!! it's totally driving me NUTS!
Congrats Smallfry :leap:
For me it's only just started really interupting my day and night.
ATM I have caught something :( gastro I think. I was so happy to see DP home from his trip then after tea my belly bloated to a balloon and i was sicker than I've ever been, thought it was MS but after spending the rest of the night on the loo it's not.... I just want to sleep. Dam clients, I poped into work, made sure I washed my hands but obviously it slipped through. Hope there's not a bad effect of pg.
Greenslw - Hope you are feeling better soon, make sure you keep your fluids up and if it hangs around see your doc.
Smallfry- I was running to the loo every 5 mins at the beginning aswell. It got better gradually, probably by about 12 weeks, then I had a good few weeks where I was normal and now Im back to the loo every 5 mins as bubs is kicking on my bladder!
erybery, thanks for the light at the end of the tunel :) Of course you expect to be like this when you get bigger but... I do remember reading a reason for early pg peeing - some hormone triggers it but I can't remember which one.
greenslw, doesn't sound pleasant. Rest up and maybe try some electrolyte drinks to help keep you hydrated. I find sometimes water doesn't help enough because it doesn't have anything for your stomach to digest if that makes sense?!
Smallfryplus, I thought water was the best thing but after talking to my clinic this morning I'm drinking purple sports drink. Icky but it's sitting better and minties they are really really helping. Things have settled but I don't want to eat.
Thanks erybery, I think being pg you panic loads more, I thought I had a fever, panic, I'm not eating panic, but after calming down, it's all back to normal (in my mind at least)
Well some good news...... I'm 8.1 weeks pregnant :D  little bubba is one week more than I thought. 1.65cm and heart beating madly. I love my u/s photo's such a special moment. So that means count down to no more IVF drugs..... Finish on the 13/7 but I said the 14th sounds better. Brother and sister inlaw + nephews go home to Canada on the 13th don't need to worry about anything else.
greenslw, that's fabulous! 1 week further along!!! Glad you've got sports drinks now. They'll help a lot more. When I start getting dizzy from drinking too much water (even not preg!) I have to resort to sports drinks and elecrolyte drinks.
Greenslw - Congrats on the scan result  Definitely go the sports drink if you have been sick or Gastrolye powder is good too, you want to replace not just the water but also the electrolytes you've lost. WTH has had gastro not so long ago, hopefully she will also pop in with some hints for you. I hope you feel a bit better soon. BTW, I found the sports drinks to be good when I had M/S, settled my tummy a little.
Smallfry - Congrats on your BFP :hooray: and good luck for your BT. I didn't have it so much this time, but with DD I was making endless loo trips to pee  Its quite normal and should go in several weeks time.
Meredith - So glad to hear you are plodding along, at least that means you aren't having any dramas! I know how you feel about the heavy and no energy unfortunately, its exactly how I feel now :(
Hi everyone else, hope you are all doing well :D
AFM, had my 32 wk ob appt today and all is looking great! I have found out the reason for my dizziness, which is the only problem I really have ATM, and it is low blood pressure - 95/55 for those in the know ;) pretty low according to my ob. So at least I have an answer and our bub is in no danger, it just means that I will have to take it easy for the next couple of months.
Greenslw - wow, I'd love to be a week ahead than I thought!!!! Glad your scan went well and you have special pics to cherish and obsess over!
Megsmum - what is blood pressure supposed to be when you are pregnant? mines always between 120-130/90. Is that normal? The midwife and ob never mention anything about it, its just written on my card.
Meredith - do you think you'll be having the baby early?
Megsmum  sorry you feel so run down. Glad you got an answer from your ob, and that it means you have even more of a reason for taking things easy. But wow! Not long till you will get to meet your bubba!
Meredith Glad you're still plodding along. Gee, from the first contraction to the last, you're going to have had the longest labour ever. Glad to hear that Upsy's going strong, and sounds like he's growing well too.
Smallfryplus Yay! Congratulations! Wishing you a smooth and boring pregnancy :) lol and that the constant peeing is the only excitement.
Greenslw :leap: so wonderful that bubba is growing well and strong! Hope you're feeling better after that nasty gastro.
AFM I told people at work today, and my manager announced it to the team and ppl clapped, etc. After spending so long hiding it, and still wanting monkey to be our precious secret, it was weird to have it announced. Really exposing, but good, like ripping a bandaid off fast.
On the weekend, DH agreed to come try out some slings with me, which I was very excited about. That is the only baby thing that I've been able to bring myself to thing about buying. I was really surprised that DH wanted to look through all the baby stuff, cos he's been really reluctant to just go look at slings. I still don't really feel ready to go out and plan a nursery or even anything small like buy a pair of socks.
I'm trying really hard to be more relaxed about things but am so afraid of things going wrong again. Really really looking forward to being able to feel bubba move.
Smallfry - CONGRATULATIONS!:happyforyou: Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.
Pash - Congratulations on telling your workmates, not be long now and you will feel bubs.
Megsmum - Yay for 32 weeks, glad your app went well, my bp is low too 96/55.
Greenslw - Yay for being further along, glad everything is going well
Erybery - Hope everything is going well for you
Meredith - Know what you mean about feeling heavy, feel like bump is much bigger than was with DD.
Big :hello: to WTH,Hannah,Lee,Theresa,Easha and anyone else ive missed
AFM - Everything going fine, appart from uti but on course of antibiotics for that. Seeing midwife today for 25 week check. Just wondering if anyone has had or is having VBAC?
thanks for all the welcomes :) I'm sure I'll get to know everyone in coming months :) Is anyone else in the feb 2010 due thread? I fit into the second half of the month but am sitting in the first half cos there's only one other person in my proper thread and we're both waiting for more people to join!! lol
heading to the doc shortly (DH organised to leave work early and come with me!) and have also called hospitals and booked a couple tours. One of them told me I had to book in before I'm 6 weeks!!!!!? I mean, unless you're actively trying (which clearly all of us understand) most women don't know they're pg at 6 weeks do they?!!!! Oh well. Prob won't go there cos I was much happier with the friendliness and helpfulness of one of the others so we'll see.
Pash - it's such a good thing to see you in here. A couple weeks ago I saw your blog listed somewhere, perhaps in the tww journals section, I forget now, (pg brain, honest!) and I read through it and felt so sad to see the pain you had gone through. Seeing you in here made me feel that universal justice has been done!! Really happy to know you're going well now!
Megsmum - glad your Ob appointment went well. Like you, I have low BP - has ranged between 95/55 - 105/55 during this PG. It definitely can make you light-headed. Glad you are going to take it easy ;)
Meredith - Hello plodder :D Doing the same and YES! Definitely getting fatter by the minute. I have put on more than 6.5kgs since 10 weeks. Loving showing off my big mama belly in public, though I am finding the maternity fashion a bit daggy (and the Winter wear cold - everything seems to be 3/4 sleeves). DD STILL doesn't know. She has attended every appointment, including the fortnightly US. I guess because she went to so many in the past and they did not amount to anything, she has no expectations (we did not tell her about the other PG's either). She definitely has noticed my belly, but has not put 2+2 together.
Smallfryplus - WOOO HOOO! So glad you are joining us
Greenslw - Great news about the US - and the bonus of being ahead a week. So :happyforyou:
Chappas - can't help you with the VBAC - looks like I will be having my first CS! Sorry about the UTI - they can be really painful. Hope the antibiotics have kicked in quickly for you.
Erybery - me too on the weeing. I must have gone 5 times last night (that's gotta be a record). My li'l one must be tapdancing on my bladder, too!
Pash - I can understand how telling your workmates was a bit of a mixed blessing. Exciting, but at the same time, maybe making you feel a little vulnerable. I have felt the same way about sharing my news. I will let you know the kicks make all the difference. I am no longer using my doppler daily. Hope you feel your bubba soon ;)
:hello: to Theresa, Hannah, Lee, Easha - hope I have not missed anyone!
AFM - Had a busy week. US last Tuesday to check my cervix - continues to measure the same. Saw my Ob on Friday and he said if it continued to measure the same at the next two US (twice a month), that he would be satisfied the cervix would be classified as low risk. :crossfingers: for that outcome. He also confirmed it would be in my best interest to have an elective CS, due to previous 3rd and 4th degree tearing from the forceps delivery of DD. He does not want to risk the very likely chance I would tear again. So I am booked in at 39+3 days... October 13th. Don't much like the number 13, but what can you do ? Then today I had my pre-admission interview with the private hospy. The nurse was great and I am feeling a little reassured I might have a more enjoyable birthing experience this time round.
Sorry to crash your thread but just want to pop in to say 'hello' to my friends WTH and Meredith, I am just soo glad to see you two ploding along and over 22 weeks marks...WTH, already booked in for a cs date, wow, how time flies! I am sure not so much on your end...:p take care my friends and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy before bub arrives!
erybery - I'm fairly sure normal BP is about 120/60 or so, but I'm not sure what is more important, the top or bottom number. I'd say you are probably OK though, especially if your ob and midwife have not made mention of it being a problem. My ob has made quite a few comments about mine being low, especially seeing as I have had plenty of dizziness. High BP is the main worry though, but like I said I would think that they would tell you if it was a problem.
:hello: everyone else!
Chappas Ouch! Hope the uti clears up fast, they're not much fun at the best of times.
Smallfryplus Thanks hun :) Thooe hosps and obs are ridiculous aren't they, for wanting to be booked in before 6 weeks. What sorts of things are you looking for in a hosp?
WTH Yay! Glad your cervix is still long and hope you move on to low risk. So you have a birthday for bubba?! How exciting! And it's close to the Oct pub hol (isn't it?). How do you feel about going for a c/s? I've noticed that a lot of ladies on BB are disappointed by an emergency c/s, but personally the certainties of an elective c/s sounds kinda comforting to me. My cousin had 2 electives and no horror stories.
Lee Hey hun, how are you going? Hope you're feeling less and less green xo
AFM I am happy to say that I've had no spotting for a week. Hooray! And was able to go get the last of the BTs that go with the NT scan. Get my results in a week :crossfingers:
Cuddlepie - you are no crasher - you're most welcome here. So sweet of you to think of Meredith and I . I have been stalking you from time to time on the other threads and can't wait until you are here permanently!
Pash - Thanks for the reassurance about having a CS. I feel okay about having one, especially if bubba is on time. Hip-hooray :hooray: for no spotting this week and GL with the BT results.
Megsmum - hope you are having a better day today and putting your feet up ;)
OK, finally some time for persies and not feeling so under the weather today, yay! I've felt a bit slack lately but it has just been more than I can handle trying to look at a computer screen let alone type something that makes sense!
WTH - For what its worth, and I know I've already said this ;) but I think you are doing the right thing having the C/S if it feels like the best way to go for you. I know I'm hoping so much to have a better natural birth than I had last time, and TBH still feeling a little nervous about it, but that's what I feel is best for me KWIM? I must admit though the thought of an emergency C/S scares me a little, I don't want to be recovering from an attempt at natural birth as well as a C/S eek!
pash - Yay for no spotting for a week! GL with the NT results :) I know how you feel about the telling people, I must admit whenever I told someone I thought to myself oh no someone else to tell if things go wrong  Glad to hear you bought a sling too, I've only had mine for a month or so, so you have done better than I did!
Smallfry - Hope the drs visit went well. I can't believe (well I can but you KWIM) you have to be booked in before 6 weeks  I know my ob fills up pretty fast because he is good, but to have to book into hospital - fair dinkum, I didn't have to do that until 20 something weeks.
chappas - Sorry to hear you have a UTI :( Hope it clears up for you soon, they are no fun. GL with the 25 week visit!
Well I think that has covered everyone, I hope so anyway! Hi and hope you are well everyone else - Easha, erybery, Greenslw, Lee, Theresa, and anyone I have missed.
AFM, like I said above have been feeling a bit better yesterday and today. But yep taking it easy apart from a little bathroom clean this morning - have a prospective cleaning lady coming over tomorrow and don't want her to think we are total grots LOL I have a chiropractor appt shortly and it is bucketing down rain outside - yuck! - so then I'm going to come home and dye some wool to knit a little cloth nappy cover for bubby - looking forward to it too :) Have a nice day everyone!
pash/megsmum - the hospital is apparently one of the blueribbon ones in the area and gets booked out incredibly quickly. I didn't really find them all that friendly on the phone so have decided to go with a smaller one that has a really good reputation for their nursing staff. I guess what I'm looking for most is that as I had a very bad experience with the last hospital I gave birth at. The nurses were not even remotely concerned that 2 days after the birth I was still passing very large pieces of placenta after they had apparently confirmed the placenta came out in a single piece... hello!! We all know that can kill you if it stays in an rots!!! Two nurses just brushed me off and it wasn't until one of them saw me at the same time as my ob was around that she finally told him and he went pale and freaked out. So, yeah, going to a hospital one of my girlfriends had two babies at and she can't speak highly enough and I haven't been able to find anything particularly negative about it online either.
pash - can you feel the baby yet?
megsmum - isn't it funny how whenever a cleaner is organised, we have to clean before they arrive?! I so understand that concept! Don't think I know any women who are not like that!!
Megsmum That's exactly what I keep thinking! THat if something goes wrong now, I'll have so many people to tell. And I didn't BUY a sling, I only THOUGHT about buying one :) Actually, I'm thinking about making one. BTW I can't believe that you have the perfect excues for not cleaning the bathroom (dizziness, pg, paid cleaner coming) and you still did! Glad you've been feeling a bit better.
Smallfryplus Your last hosp sounds downright negligent and dangerous. Glad you've been able to find something with a cleaner reputation. I still can't feel bubba, and still 4 weeks till my next scan...
AFM Today, ppl at work, at lunch and at the pub after, were wanting to chat to me about my pg. All very normal, they were just trying to make conversation. But I just don't know how to be truthful and flippant as ppl expect. I can't tell them that I regularly freak out and still have trouble believing that there's a baby in there, and am more scared than anything else. I just lied and said what I've heard other pg ppl say, like how I miss sushi & red wine, when really, I don't miss anything. Nothing like that seems important, as long as monkey is healthy.
Hi girls,
Sorry, but a quick one from me, as I have a class shortly.
Pash - great to see you so far along now.......... the chances of anything untoward happening now are very slim........... try not to go there too much. I'm so glad your bleeding has stopped - you must have popped out by now?
Megsmum - not long for you!! Yah on the cleaner - I'm dying for a housegirl or five!! The only way that can happen is a move to a 3rd worly country! Meantime, I'm chief cook etc etc etc etc!!!
Hi to everyone else!!
I'm starting to feel anxious - have not got my blood results back to get combined nt result. They said it takes a week - and it's a week today. So, I know technically it's not 'overdue' - it's just last time with Remy it took less time, and the time before that, my Ob said he put off calling me for a day or so.....arrrgghhh..... maybe I should just call myself. I hate how your mind goes off wandering into dangerous thoughts.....
Will keep you posted anyway! Good news is my nausea has eased right up, still dog tired, but managaeable!
Lee xo
Update - just called - results are not back yet ..... hate waiting.....
Thinking of you honey as you wait... :comfort:
