Also want to send a big hello to everyone else in this forum. It is lovely to see some new people joining in with BFPs and lovely to see everyone elses tickers moving along.
AFM: all good - starting to pack (moving house at 36-38 weeks!!!) Am on leave from day job so that is good as sooooo tired all the time. Hopeing next 7 weeks goes quickly.
:grouphug:
Congratulations megsmum and welcome to the world Emma Jade
:happyforyou::leap::confetti::cheer:
1 hour labour! Wow! I guess she was in a hurry after all.
zstar - Goodluck for your scan. Let us know how it goes. I still have the pic of my angel and he (she) had already grown wings by the time I had the u/s. I never look at it - its tucked away in the bottom draw of my bedside table - but I like knowing that I have it. Only let it go when you're ready hun.
babymiracles - :hello: Goodluck with the move and fingers crossed your bundle stays put until you get settled.
Yippeee on the arrival of Emma Jade!!! Wonderful news.
Hope everyone else is well. Will try and pop back in soon for more persies
hey
just had 1st scan and all is good. it is in the right spot, measures 8wks 1 day and heart beat 139 per min. ultrasound guy said everything was as good as it could be at this stage. phew!
have doc appointment tomorrow to get blood test results then ob on monday. measuring from my last period i am 7 wks 3 days so what date do i now go buy???
first little mile stone under the belt, bring on the next one!
hannah - thanks for your words, might just hang on to it for now...
Megsmum - what fantastic news and what a lovely name. Congratulations!
zstar - It must be a huge relief to have your scan and hear good news. Hearing and seeing that baby's heartbeat is very reassuring.
My blood test confirmed my pregnancy but it was quite low last Friday at 46 IU/L. It only put me at between 3 and 4 weeks and by my calculations I thought I would have been just over 5. The doctor said not to worry and to come back and have another test in a couple of weeks. He said it only really matters if it drops.
I am keen to put on a pregnancy ticker but I am worried it might come up in my posts on the TTC thread. Will it appear on posts I made previously? I heard there is a box I can tick or something like that to ensure I can keep it off future posts.
Congratulations Megsmum! hip hip hoooooorrrrrayyyyyyyyyy!!!
Zstar - Not sure about what date you should take, but so glad you got to see your bubby!
Sammy - try not to worry too much about your levels. I went to the doc every 3 days for 3 weeks until I had an ultasound at 7 weeks! I was just so anxious to see my levels rise and this was the only thing that helped keep me sane during those first few weeks.
Add a ticker, I'd love to see it! When you type a message in a forum that we shouldn't have it you just "untick" the box that is in the right hand corner under where you type. It says "show signature".
Babymiracles - great to hear from you, I can't believe your moving so clse to the birth! I hope you have enough energy. I just crash every day I get home from work!!!
Hi All,
Have had one of the most trying of days with two bouts of tears
To pop in to hear Megsmum has had her baby has turned my awful day around
Congrats Megsmum:dance::dance::clap::clap:

SammyP waiting is the worst part  all's growing well for you.
Esha I'm so gelous I can't wait to stop work enjoy your last 8 days
Hi everyone! I've been reading but really struggling to keep up with everyone. So no persies this time.
Welcome to all the ladies who've joined recently. We've understand the anxieties of the first scan and the first tri in general.
How exciting is it about Megsmum?! Hun, if you're reading this, well done. Look forward to reading your birth story. It's gotta be quick right?
DH & I are still looking for a place to live, so that's been keeping us pretty busy. I had a scan last week, which was great. It was the first time that i could feel monkey moving about and watch him/her at the same time. Saw the midwife today who said that everything was fine and nothing to worry about. I did hold my breath while she tried to find the heartbeat, then realised that i was being silly, cos I could feel monkey move about.
And something odd. I came home today and lay flat on my back, and my belly falls back into a log shape. Almost like i swallowed a whole swiss roll and it's sitting straight up and down. Is that the baby, my uterus? Does anyone know? Or have a similar shape? It sticks out more if I try to sit up without using my hands. It's skinny, kinda pointy and soft, so I don't think it's the baby;s head.
Anyhow, I hope everyone's going well. Sorry for lack of persies this time. Though Erybery, glad it wasn't pre-eclampsia. :bellyrubs: xo
I know it's silly, but after having virtually no symptoms last time I was pregnant I am so happy to experience anything this time so . . . yaaaay, lightheaded and dizzy!!
Megsmum - hey mama. Hope you are having lots of lovely cuddles and getting some shut-eye in-between. Can't wait to hear about DD's reaction to meeting her sister for the first time - how precious!
Jenushka - was tickled pink to have you pop in last week and to see Miss L is now over 2 months!
Sammy - Congratulations on the lightheadness and dizziness LOL. I was greatful for those same symptoms at 5 weeks, as I actually did not get to do BT's this time round so it was all I had to go by until my 7.5 week scan. You're doing great!
Pash - It really makes it seem so real when you can feel bubba and see what is going on at the same time, doesn't it? I was getting the same "swiss roll" a few weeks back if I lay down but sat up on my elbows. And yes, I do believe that is your monkey :D Good luck with the house hunting.
Easha - sorry you had a rotten day yesterday. I hope nothing bad has happened . I am super-hormonal ATM and don't seem to have much patience... The stress of finding a new place to live would have been a big deal for you. Enjoy your working-day countdown...
Zstar - congratulations on the great scan result. I was told that in a naturally conceived Pg to go by the early scan date as they are very accurate around this time.
Babymiracles - hiya! Good to see your ticker, too! Best wishes for the move. Promise me you will take it super-easy, OK?
Meredith - how did you get on with your second 4D scan appointment? Did you go to the wig appointment? I have a friend with a couple of wigs. She wears them for her DH - spices things up a little for them, apparently LOL. Hope you are feeling well x
Cantwaittobeamum - how's it going? Hope you enjoyed telling your family and friends your good news?
Erybery - great to read about your BT improving - that must be a weight off your mind!
Mel, Cherished, Possums and Buliej - so sweet of you to drop in here with your supportive words xxx
Mollycat - hey Miss Lurker. Have been wondering how you have been getting on - great to see your ticker climbing so beautifully
:hello: Hannah, Humanbean, Greenslw, Lee, Joshsmum, Theresa, Chappas and Lauren.Hope I have not missed anyone...
AFM - had Ob appointment on Monday and PG continues to going well :D, though I have managed to catch DH and DD's heavy cold . I have been pretty sick for nearly a week. Been hitting the Lemsips and Vicks Vaporub pretty hard, but just can't shake it. What I would give for a Codral right now! But I am sleeping well and it has taken a while but the pregnancy pillow seems to have improved my sciatica. Thanks for the tips about leg cramps and magnesium, everyone. I am doing much more stretching and the occasional foot soak with epsom salts which seems to have done the trick ;)
