Cherished - I just had to pop in and say CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy. Sticky Vibes for you :bellyrubs:
tashybabe - hoping the spotting settles, just take it easy as you can and if you need, go and see a doctor or the emergency dept at your hospital.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone
Matilda is coming along just fine. She will now sleep 3-4 hours or more at a time, although she feeds for a couple of hours during the night between blocks of sleep, and is starting to be quite content just laying around watching the world go by. I'm really dreading going back to work in February, although I am lucky enough to work from home, so I won't miss out on her.

Smallfry I have the opposite from ppl, You are quite small aren't you? My belly cast looks great. DH was very cute when he got over the fact he was putting stuff on my boobs  men. Make the time and do it when you can. I had this feeling that If I leave it it will be too late. Not that I"m having a feeling on the Due Date but my belly is really doing weird things and things seam to be getting stronger. Hmmmmmmm Fresh fruit.......
I second the no work motion Cherished. My friend didn't work for any of hers and she always seamed so calm. Nana nap sounds like a good idea.
ATM my left side is being horrible. Last night period pain then pelvis pain and I was unable to find a comfortable spot, not sitting, standing, lying, I cried for ages, then went to the chemist and got some pills, which are working. I'm scared if labor is like that I'm not going to cope. But I guess you have a break not solid pain for 6 hours.
Well my belly cast is now done and looks beautiful, It looks huge but I guess I am. DH was so careful but in the end really got into it. Such a wonderful memory for us, I highly recommend it. If you can't find the plaster bandages they are on EBAY I used 4 but could have used another 1.
Well it's 2010 what an amazing decade 00 was 10's will be even better.

OMG i can't actually believe I am getting to post on PAML, it seems like forever since I joined the TTC thread back in April. I don't yet have the guts to make a pregnancy ticker until I've had me second lot of bt on tuesday. For those who I haven't kept up with I have been doing IUI at the clinic this was my 2nd cylce with injections. I got a faint hpt positive on 29th (called 3 people at 4.30 in the morning to tell them because I was so excited!!!) then confrimed by bt yeasterday :loveshower: best New Years ever even though I was completely sober and needed a nap between 9.30 and 11 so I could be awake to see in the new year
Cherished I am so happy you are in here with me and about the same way along too. From my o day I'm exactly the same as you 4 weeks 1 day (if they take it from my period date,6/12 which they said they do then I'm only 3 wekks and 5 days!) Seems a bit silly to me since they know the exact day I concieved!
It is great to see how far along some of my other girls from the TTC thread are.
The psychic I saw in November said I'd be pg by Christmas and I was so I'm clinging to the fact that she said my baby girl will make it all the way this time :crossfingers::crossfingers::crossfingers:
-
Mollycat you sweetie thanks so much :D How are you and bubs going?
Smallfry thanks for your recipe in the other thread, YUMMMM
tashybabe How are you going? Is everything ok now?
AFM I have been really enjoying going back to bed at around 10am (I get up between 5-6) today dh was home too so he snuggled in and we slept for 2 hours than I got up for lunch... I have been hungry heaps! ans I feel so bloated  Somethign I am not used to feeling and to top it off my back is starting to get a bit sore... But you know what I LOVE IT  Bring it on... I'm having a baby YAY
-
cherished & sunbeam, it's such a pleasure to see you both in here that it brings me to tears of happiness. I joined up in April and you were both there with me going through the same things as me and I have been waiting for you both to move across! Still a couple other ladies to come on over but we're getting there!
greenslw - being your first it won't get all that huge. My ob keeps telling me not to stress about how big I'm getting because they just keep getting bigger and bigger as you have more cos everything has already stretched etc. Make sure you do casts for any future pregnancies as well!! I'll probably do one in the first week of Feb, maybe a little later, depends how I'm feeling really. My sis has volunteered to paint it for me as I haven't got any artistic talent and she is incredibly talented. I'm thinking about getting my daughters involved in it too, perhaps just for hand prints on it though as my younger has no patience for putting genuine thought into her artwork.
cherished - hope you have a chance to try the recipe, it really is a great flavour sensation. I wish I could sleep so much! Having the same prob as greenslw, very difficult to get comfortable and when I do manage to sleep, I keep waking to pee or waking because my hips are aching etc.
I gotta be honest and fess up to having been lucky enough to have three pregs and not have to work during any of them. I have done a small amount of work towards the end of this one but only on a casual basis and only for a few days at a time and that's over now. I admire women who are able to work through preg as I can remember how tired I was first tri and I could barely get off the couch, slept almost all day every day and night as well!
Keep it going girls! Glad to see this group growing!! :grouphug:
-
sunbeam and cherished - congratulations. I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face. You have made my 2010. I couldn't be happier. I think of everyone in that thread almost everyday. Far out, sending you all my positive vibes and a massive massive hug to you both. Can't speak. Xxxxxxxxx
-
couldnt have said it better myself zstar, even if i tried
-

I'm so glad I can finally be over here and there are still girls here I know, feels so nice :grouphug:. I'm really hoping Milly and Ferrrals are about to join us :crossfingers:
-
Congrats again to Cherished and Sunbeam, it's great to see you guys in here.
-
Hi ladies!
After that intro Sunbeam, how can I not? ;)
YAY I'm here!!!
Hello again to Cherished, Sunbeam, sunny, zstar, smallfry, greenslw, & twinsister who I remember all from TTCAML.
Hello to the ladies who I am just meeting now! My story - I lost Angel #1 in 2005, and then DH & started TTC again in 2008, had a BFP in Feb 09, then m/c in April 09, and been TTC ever since. Following m/c, I was found to have thryroid problems, and placed on meds, and also FS specialist wanted two cycles of clomid before moving to IVF - fortunatly for us, 1 cycle of clomid was enough!!
So, I got my BFP (@ 4 weeks) on 30/11 - very faint, not enough to convince me it was real until 2 days later. still haven't had a blood test yet (because of public hols), so next week.
I'm a bit nervous because I keep feeling these crampy twinges, which before my BFP I was convinced was AF on her way. I guess I won't settle till I get past 9 weeks at least!
(thinking sticky thoughts)
Anyway, I am excited to be here, and hope I am here for the duration this time!!
Hugs!!
-
woohoo milly!!!
fingers, toes and eyes crossed for the other couple of girls ;)
its so great to see so many familiar names in here!! exciting!
-
Milly :happyforyou: OMG I am soooo excited and almost passing out that you will be my bellybuddy too!!!! :hooray:
Twin sister thanks hon :D
:hello: everyone else
AFM I am GREAT!!!
-
hi all. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year. Congrats to all those with recent BFPs who I haven't chatted to before.
I'm still spotting - it's been 5 days now. I have a GP appt Monday and seeing the midwife tomorrow, but I'm losing hope atm. I had a couple of bloodtests on 21 & 26 DPO, which I managed to get the results for. The HCG numbers are great, but progesterone is really low. Combined with the spotting and the fact nearly all my symptoms have disappeared, I'm really not holding out much hope. I want to get another blood test on Monday and depending on what that says, might go for a scan after that. I'm not a fan of getting early scans - last time we saw a hb at 6 weeks and bub still died, so I believe more in what blood tests say.
For anyone who knows about these things, my results were:
21DPO - HCG= 6209, Prog = 30
26DPO HCg= 22,983, Prog = 37
I've had higher progesterone results on a CD21 (7DPO) test in a non-pregnancy cycle, so not hopeful, given I was 5+ weeks pregnant. I really hope I'm wrong, but also trying to get used to the idea we may lose this bub too.
-
tashybabe, I have no idea about the progesterone levels but the HCG looks pretty good compared to many I've seen. that everything is ok for you and bubs. Bedrest until you get to your midwife appointment. Spotting is common so maybe it's just that. My symptoms came and went at that point, they didn't settle in for another couple of weeks.
-
Thanks smallfry - I'm trying to be a bit more positive and stop googling low progesterone levels. Just feeling that stretching pain when I stand up makes me feel a bit better atm.
Hopefully we'll know more Monday
-
big hi to everyone....
sunbeam - you were right......Congrats Milly5 and welcome!!!!! wahooo!!!!!! soooo happy for you....2 days in a row now i have logged on and got the best news ever...more of the girls in the thread. big hugs!. Come on ferrals!
tashybabe- i will be thinking of you tomorrow. stop googling. that does your head in. stay positive.
afm - all going great here. part of my welcome pack from my ob has a list of when i have had to do things ect tests, scans, check ups and this week it says to pack my bag. far out. i read it and nearly crapped my pants. this is really happening to me! baby is moving so much and everything is much more dramatic because he is getting bigger. i could stare at my tummy for hours watching it move. better go, mum and step dad will be here any minute for dh's famous roast. yummmmm xxx
-
Hi Tashybabe,
Sorry to hear about the spotting. I am on 200mg progesterone 2x a day in pesseries because I have naturally low progesterone and this may have been the cause of my m/cs. I was told they won't stop a m/c if the baby just isn't right but it will help a good bub stick if low progesterone is the problem. Hope that helps might be worth mentioning or even requesting from your midwife. Very best of luck :crossfingers:
-
Sunbeam well done :leap:
Cherished I remember all those symptoms and how much I loved them : I will put a pic of my cust up when it's painted, a bit boring atm.
Smallfry I love the idea of DS and a hand print on your cast. I still think there are just as many + and - for working vs not working. and no matter which side you're on there are headaches.
Milly goodluck and hope you can stay sane for the next couple of days.
Tash  for you
zstar it's great when you can see bubs move, very big time waister. oh and at 37 weeks NO MORE TESTS (hope that is something to look forward to) I hate blood tests, so glad they're over.
ATM my head is full so I'm up instead of in bed. DH crashed at10 when we went to bed. He's a bit burnt out with work being so busy. He's not complaining but I know he's tired.
My friend arrives from Darwin tomorrow for some girl time and my Birthday Monday. I'm looking forward to a bit of shopping (pain permitting) and just having someone to chat with.
-
Congrats Milly! It's awesome to see you in here!
Tashy - I know the spotting is worrisome but wow your HCG levels look great. Hopefully the low progesterone is nothing to worry about and your Dr can sort you out. I had 3 bleeds during my PG with DS and have had 2 already with this one so it doesn't always mean something bad. I have all my fingers crossed for you though that your blood work goes well on Monday.
Greenslw - Have a great time with your friend and Happy Birthday a few days early!
-
Hi Ladies,
just a quick post to say thanks for the warm welcome!! I am SOOOO happy to be here!!!
And it's very exciting that I'll have Cherished and Sunbeam as Belly budies!!
Tash - I am keeping everything crossed for you
(sorry no other persies - trying to be quick: house guests!)
bye for now!!
-
Hi girls,
Tashybabe-how did you go with the midwife? I hope its all okay.
I am currently anxiously waiting to get second bt results back. Had to get some more progesterone pesseries so I figured I might as well get my bt while I was there. Been trying to make a commitment to myself that if the numbers are good this time I will relax and just believe that I am at the start of a happy healthy pregnancy that will bring me a beautiful bubby. In all the wishing to be pregnant again I had forgoten how stressful it then is in the early weeks. Felt really rough before bed last night then had some strongish cramps around 2am, I hope it is just my uterus getting a bit bigger. Feel fine today so looking forward to good results.
Cherished and Milly how are you feeling?
-
I totally know what you mean Sunbeam about how stressful the early weeks are! I also had strong cramps and pinches early on and some bleeding every two weeks after 6 weeks and up to 12 weeks. Gosh did I worry/cry/stress/mourn, but it was all for nothing in the end. It was my body growing and adjusting. Every woman and pregnancy is different. You are so smart to know not to stress. Of course you will analyse little things and pay more attention, but in the end its out of our hands and only in our hearts. Dont know about you but my MS and tingly boobies didnt start until 7-8 weeks, so enjoy it while it lasts and celebrate it when it starts!
xoxox
-
Well my bliss was short lived and my gut instinct was right. My hcg has falled from 50 to 8 so this bub is not going to stick :crying:
-
:crying: Oh Sunbeam :comfort: I just don't know what to say. I am ever so sorry.
-
Sunbeam - I am so so sorry:comfort::comfort: You must be devastated.
Greenslw - Happy birthday
I hope everyone else is well
I'm waiting for today's blood test results. I may not get them until tomorrow morning. I wasn't able to see the midwife yesterday - she had back-to-back births to attend. I saw my GP this morning and she agreed the progesterone is very low and it may well be our underlying problem. I'm hoping, but not optimisitc, IYKWIM. btw - getting progesterone pessaries isn't easy - took ages to find a chemist that has them - ended up going to the pharmacy at a hospital. Also I've been proscribed 100mg a day, but they're 200mg, so finding it hard to cut them up. My poor DH - I didn't realise how hard it's been on him too. He said today he really doesn't want another scan anytime soon - he just couldn't bear seeing another bub with no heartbeat. Broke my heart to have him go through this too.
-
Sunbeam, I am so sorry. my thoughts are with you :comfort:
-
Huge cuddles Sunbeam. Im so sorry for you. Life s very cruel and I wish there was something I could do. :crying:
-
Greenslw :partysmiley: Happy birthday hon, hope you had a fantastic day
Sunny I just want to say that it's so nice to see your name more often, I've missed you my friend
Tashybabe I hope you get those results tomorrow and the progesterone injections work.
I got my results back today, my HCG was 481 and that blood was taken at 4 weeks. It is on the low side but I noticed that my old HCG test results were done through a different pathology company and their 'normal reference ranges' are very different from one another. For example one company says that the lower end of the range for 4 weeks is 40, median is 350 and upper is 2000, yet the other says for 3-4 weeks the range is 500-6000 so going by that my HCG is on the lower side... You'd think that they would have a 'standard' within the industry... Anyway now I am worried, because last time my HCG was 840 at 4 weeks 4 days and I still lost that one. I think I will continue to worry even though I know HCG goes up quickly and every pg is different etc etc My progesterone was 83.3, is that normal? and my iron is a bit low...
Anyway I'm going to eat my green curry for dinner and watch a movie with dh and enjoy the last night of my holidays.
-
I just don't know what to think my head feels so full. On the one hand I know I should be glad to know at that IUI can work for us and that at least I was not further along so I am expecting the loss will just be like a heavier period. On the other hand I am just totally heart broken and in awe of women who go through this time and again and keep on trying. When I feel like this it is so hard to dredge up enough hope to believe I will one day have a baby.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. I really hope I'll be back here again soon.
Cherished- my book says hCG at 4 weeks should be between 5-426 it seems to mostly depend on how long the egg took to implant so I think yours is great. Your progesterone is good too.
-
Sunbeam, so sorry to hear your news. That is truly tragic for you. I hope sos much to see you back here very quickly with happy news and a lasting and healthy pregnancy. It will happen for you. xox
-
A loss is a loss regardless Sunbeam, so PLEASE DON'T feel like you should be grateful for not being further along. What you want for your child is to give your pure and beautiful love. You have hopes and dreams for your child, and unfortunatly its not as straightforward or simple for everyone to become a mother. Im happy you have optimism for the future, its a powerful and shifting thing in one's life, don't lose it. Knowing of this side to life makes me ever so grateful for what I still have.
Thanks Cherished :D Ive always been lurking, but never posting. Is that cyber weird?? ;) Im so keen to hear how other's are going that I forget to include/talk about myself! Im pretty rude actually for that I think! The etc etc part of your post about knowing not to worry means I dont even have to say it ;) Relax. As long as those numbers increase (NOT necessarily doubled) then im confident she'll stick (yes, I do believe PINK for you).
Hello to everyone else!! :) I hope you're all well and happy
-
Sunbeam  so sorry
tashybabe hope tomorrow bring great news
Cherished I think it's more on the way the numbers double rather than the start point. When is your next test.
Thanks for all your birthday wishes. Today was nice to be with family and be a little spoinlt.
OMG I"m so sore. My belly feels like it's going to open up from my belly button. I rang my manager and I'm now finishing work this week, I can hardly cope with pottering around home let alone focusing. Scary when you body is doing what ever it wants with no say from me.........
So work tomorrow and wednesday then a meeting thursday then NOTHING. hope bubba waits that long I need rest.
-
wow greenslw, that's really close! Only a few more weeks to go now! How's your nursery going? I got told today that my ob is happy to get things moving from the day I'm due so I'm stoked. Feeling enormous already and sore and already bigger than I was at full term with the last one.
Sunny good to see you in here and great to see how far along you are :)
tashybabe, hope you and baby are good.
off to bed now...
-
Sunbeam,
I am so sorry, HUGE HUGS :comfort: :comfort:
-
Sunbeam - Big  I'm so very sorry hun.
Cherished - That HCG is great, mine was 184 at 4w1d. Prog is greater than 30 so excellent as well. Try to relax hun  you are doing great.
Hi everyone else, just back from holidays in Port Douglas yesterday - a lovely place, didn't want to come home in fact!
-
Smallfryplus funn a week ago I was so pround that my ob said I can go a week over NOW I'm happy for early but will wait. I'm sure when I"m not at work anymore I"ll feel alot better. Just need to put a rock on my foot to make me sit down. My nursary is all done. Just waiting on the basinett (this thursday) and I"m sorted. It's such a nice feeling how bout yours?
How are you feeling Cherished and MIlly?
Megsmum no need to rub it in? :D
ATM two days to go. I'm so happy about no more work now I've made the choice. I slept for two hours last night up for three then had another three, I actually feel ok. Wonder if this is the pattern I'll need to get used to?
-
sunbeam, greenslw & Megsmum thanks for the HCG & progesterone advice, I felt much better reading it a couple of days ago but haven't had time to reply. My OB also called to tell me that it looks like a strong pregnancy from the test results :)
Sunbeam if you are still around I hope you are ok hon
Greenslw good to hear you are finishing up work!
I am at work today, the 2nd day back and I already want to finish up! my boss does my head in :wall: I am looking working from home, any ideas?
AFM I called the x-ray place yesterday to ask how much the neucal scan costs and they told me $110 which is fine and then I asked them when is the earliest they can really tell what gender the bub is and they said that at that 12 week neucal scan you can usually tell if the bub doesn't have their back to the scan! I am totally excited to find out that soon (if possible) has anyone else heard of finding out that early?
-
Sunbeam - I'm am so sorry to hear your levels dropped, I'm heartbroken for you.
-
cherished - that's probably as early as you can find out. I haven't heard of anyone finding out at that scan though. I think that before that they can't tell cos everything looks the same on boys and girls. Would be a shame if they got a different result from the 19 week scan though!! Can certainly understand the hurry to find out though, I was desperate to know! Oh, and I'm really happy to hear that your ob has said this is a strong pregnancy. It's about time for you!!
Do you still get medicare rebate on the neucal scan?
As for work from home... sheeesh, I wish I had ideas!! I did a little bit of mystery shopping for the company my sister works for a little while ago. That was so much fun. It was all phone work so I did it from home. Other than that... yeah, I'm out but open to ideas!
greenslw -good news about finishing up work early. I think that is a very good idea. So you'd only have one more day now yes? That is excellent!
Ah the fun of it all. I'm staring down the barrel at some very hot weather and a substandard aircon system. It works for the first couple days but then, because it's evaporative, just makes the house muggy so I'll have to get the small unit in the lounge going after that cos we have 5 days coming up of up to 38 degrees. I swear, next time I get pregnant I'm going to plan it a heck of a lot better so that I'm not due at the end of summer!!! If there's a month that will put me due any time from mid december to end of march, I'm not TTC!!!! :D
:grouphug:
