Smallfryplus: I totally agrea with "trusting the team" but I work for a Not for Profit org and they would say "if you don't need to be there, we wont pay!" the thing is I'm 5 mins from work so if I am "needed" baby and I in the car and off we go. We'll see what I can wangle when it's time. I'mn not wanting to job hunt but it may also be on the cards.
Kirsten I inspected my loo paper till around 16 weeks  it does get better but only with time I'm afraid. Hang in there. I had my first scan at 8 weeks with iVF clinic they like to "make sure" there is a heartbeat. But my friend had one at 6 and saw a beautiful heart beat. She's now 12 weeks after MC and very happy.
Elise glad you are keeping busy hope you are feeling well.
Cherished thanks for you vibes but I"m still at home
Tinar I hear you re own boss DH usually is, and will be at the end of the year again, however he earns double so can work less. :D re energy and 2nd trimester, I think I did but not much, and it's so great to reach 25+weeks time will fly and it's is great to start really looking, feeling pg. Love baby shopping. You having a baby shower?
Welcome and congrats Chuckie
ATM had really regular BH or contractions not sure hourly from 1.30-5.30 almost told DH to stay home but baby was moving alot during each one, so I didn't and well no more since :wall: really would like to know what a contraction feels like as aposed to baby and bh? so confusing.
It's 40C here today and after my feet blowing up like balloons yesterday I'm staying off them as much as poss.
OB tonight, lets see if she is more 'helpful' this week

I keep forgetting about this thread and then i have so much to catch up on!
Had to come and tell you all I had a follow-up U/S today and everything looks great. The baby was sooooo active. It was wriggling all over the place like crazy (the tech was having trouble getting pics cuz it wouldn't stop squirming LOL). It waved at us, punched at us and kept kicking out it's legs. It was amazing, I teared up. The heart rate was 138hbm which she said was great. I think that means I'm having another boy as that's around what DS's HR always was too. The tech said some people swear by that but it's not very reliable since the HR changes all the time. I'm so happy now.
Thankfully m/S is much better as is my energy level. Now I'm suffering with heart burn and serious indigestion but I'd much rather those than the nausea.
Chuckie - welcome to the thread and congrats on your pregnancy. Sadly, unless they've been through it themselves, people just don't understand what it's like to have a m/c and they tend to be a bit insensitive. I'm so sorry to hear you suffered a loss but am happy to hear you are expecting again. Try tp think positive and hopefully things will go smoothly for you.
Will have to do personals next time but a big hi to everyone!
-
Hmmmmmm, note to self: If I'm going to spend the next 8 weeks with my head hanging over the toilet bowl, must ensure that it is a pretty colour and smells nice!:ROFL:
-
Kirsten....I used to sit there telling myself "this is a good sign" over and over again...as well as making sure I really regularly cleaned the loo (hard to keep up at work!) and had cans of spray lol
Twin S...well i must be having a girl then cause all of my HB's have been above 159 :)
Greens...come on! when are we going to meet this baby???
Hi to everyone else.
AFM: had midwife appt tonight. have to go ahve ultrasound as fundal length (uterus) is 5wks ahead of bubs dates :( could be nothing, could be bub isnt growing well. the upside is I get to see bub again
When the midwife got the doppler out for HB (159) Zen kept moving away lol, she got stern and told Zen to stop it next thing you know BOOT right into the doppler lol
trying not to stress and be positive but as you know, its hard, especially having made it this far
-
kirsten - hehehe I like that statement!
tinar - is it possible that it's the way Zen was lying at the time? Or maybe the midwife got the measurement wrong (not likely, I know, but still, worth a try?!) Enjoy the opportunity to have a look at the gorgeous little one again! I'd love to get another look in now, would be pretty cool to see how much you can see this far along!
twinsis - how can you possibly forget about us in here?! lol ;) glad to see you back in and that everything is going well for you. Sounds like a fiesty baby you've got happening there!
greenslw - I've been trying to remember the difference between BH and real contractions. I can't for the life of me but I do remember that I knew the difference when the time came first time around. I think the main thing is that getting up and walking around doesn't stop them whereas it often will stop BH or reduce the frequency/severity of them. They will remain consistent and will start to happen closer together. And I'm lost after that for ideas on how they differ!!
chuckie - welcome! It's great you've found us in here and even greater that you've been able to get that BFP so quickly! Congratulations! everything goes smoothly for you from here.
AFM - for those who like chocolate chip cookies... I decided to make some the other day. I had no cookie recipes (don't usually bake sweets other than the odd muffins or brownies or birthday cakes) so I hit the internet and tracked down a cookie recipe. It was good, but I felt a need to change it to make it better. So, with that in mind, today I did just that. My DD1 declared it 'so much better than the other ones and they were really good too" and as for me, I promptly scoffed down at least half a dozen of them. They are now chocolate chocolate chip cookies and have white and milk chocolate chips in a chocolate cookie base. So darn good it's not funny. They're kind of fudgy on the inside and chewy/crunchy on the outside. mmmmm drooling again and I want to go eat more of them!!! I've decided since the recipe is now so far away from what the original one was, I am safe to publish it for people without citing the origin (problem is, I can't remember the origin so I can't cite it!!) So, for those of you with chocolate cravings, these are quick and easy and fantastically yummy and here's the recipe -
Chocolate Chip Cookie Ingredients
• 2/3 cup caster sugar
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 250g butter, softened
• 2 large eggs,beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups plain flour
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups chocolate chips (I used equal white and milk choc)
Preheat oven to 180 degrees (170 if fan forced). Mix sugar, brown sugar, butter, vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs and combine well. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. The dough will be very stiff.
Stir in chocolate chips. You can add pecans, or other nuts, at this time if desired. Keep stirring and folding the chocolate chips and nuts into the dough until they are evenly dispersed. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. The chocolate chip cookies need to be this far apart because the dough spreads during cooking. Bake 6 - 8 minutes or until they look almost done. You may even think that the chocolate chip cookies are underdone, but they will finish cooking through out of the oven. If you leave them in too long, the cookies will be tough or crispy.
The centers will be soft. Let cool completely then remove from cookie sheet. If you try to remove the cookies while they are still warm, the chocolate chips are still very soft and this can cause a very big mess.
Let me know if anyone tries this cos I'm curious to see if everyone else loves them as much as I do!! lol

Sore boobs???
OK today I am freaking out, over the last few days I have 'thought' that my boobs were getting less sore every day and today I am sure of it because they are not sore at all :( I've also got a very slight little bit of cramping.... I am so worried! I will make a dr's appointment for today or Monday depending on when I can get in and I will have another scan and bloods again, I had booked in for a 9 week scan but that is toooooo far away!
So my question to you all is if your boobs stopped being sore, either in the 1st tri at some stage or in the 2nd tri etc, Do they have growth spurts so to speak where they are really sore than settle down a bit than do they get really sore again or did/are your boobs just sore all time or do they just keep getting worse?
Please be honest I wish I had of known the 1st time I had a miscarriage that if your symptoms go away you should go and get checked out! I know it's one of the 1st signs that there is a problem but I don't really know how the sore boob thing works, I had assumed that they just keep getting sorer until you finish breastfeeding really?
I'll be back for persies a bit later......
-
Cherished - Don't get too freaked out yet. When I was PG with DS my boobs did gradually get less sore until one day they felt fine. With this pregnancy I go through periods when my boobs are super sore, and periods when they are not. As for cramping, I've had lots of that through both pregnancies. As everything is stretching and making room for baby, it does hurt a little. Definitely get checked by your doctor if you are worried but don't worry too much yet as everything is probably fine.
Smallfry - oh I would never forgot about you wonderful ladies in here, i just keep forgetting to come by this thread for some reason. Those cookies sounds really yummy, I may have to make some on the week-end with DS.
TinaR - hope your scan goes well and baby is measuring right on target.
-
hi cherishsed - I don't tend to get very sore boobs with preg. They hurt, but not much more than when AF is due. This time round I had a huge growth spurt and had to go buy new bras by around 9 - 10 weeks then they settled down. All pain went away. By half way through second tri I had to go out and buy another round of bras cos I'd had another growth spurt. Then, only a couple weeks ago, they have started hurting again, this time more than before but it's just my nipples. They're incredibly sensitive and really sore, I'm pleased that I have several padded bras cos that's the only way I can get comfort! Glad they make them padded in big cup sizes now cos I've gone up to an F!!
Knowing what's happened to you in the past, I'd probably see the doc just to set your mind at ease, after all, what do we pay them for? But yeah, my experience, the pain did subside and then come back this time several times. First two pregs I don't recall much pain but I do know that they grew a lot then as well. Oh, and the crampy feelings, I had them constantly right through frst tri and most of second tri but particularly bad through first tri.
ps. even when breast feeding I didn't have much pain, generally only if the baby slept longer and delayed a feed or if I got a blocked duct. I was very lucky not to have major probs with feeding as I had a friend get mastitis so severely she ended up in hospital and they were actually concerned for her life because the infection got so bad. Was quite scary. Never ever heard of anyone getting it so bad as her but everything went wrong with her preg and labour - she had a perfect baby though which goes to show that no matter how much trouble you have during preg, it doesn't mean you won't have that perfect baby.
twinsis - glad you don't forget us ;) and I hope you have fun baking cookies. I posted the recipe on my facebook page cos a number of g/fs wanted it and now they're all drooling. DH has taken heaps to work so that he can share them around and brag. I have to make another batch on the weekend for a bbq so I don't mind losing them to his work mates! lol
-
Thanks Twin Sister & Smallfry I can't tell you how much you have put my mind at ease. I am still pretty devestated thinking that it could all be over :crying: I guess it's jsut anothe reality check... I have been in la la land.
I think I will still see the dr and get a referal for a scan and a BT and then I will have them for if I want to get them done beofre the 9 week scan that I hae already booked in.
-
Thanks for all of your kind words of welcome.
Cherished1 - I know you are further along then me but I was 11wks preg just a few months back and with both this one and that my boobs have never been as sore as I expected (everyone always says your boobs really hurt). Last time I also went through an initial growth spurt and also had to go up a size in about week 9 (very embarrassing in a small town when the woman asked me if I realised I was trying on maternity bras!) But then mine don't really hurt with AF either so go figure. With a history of loss you can demand as many scans as you want (or so the gyno who did my d and c told me) so go and get scanned everyweek if it puts your mind at rest. Everyone's symptoms are different so try not to read to much into what has happened to others. for you.
smallfryplus - thanks for the recipie looks like a good excuse to bake this loooong weekend and they sound delicious!
greenslw - I have read back over this whole thread and am very impatient to read your birth announcement - hurry up bubba!!
AFM - went to the dr yesterday (early I know) to get a referal for an early scan (I am going on hols in a couple of weeks and wanted to book the scan in at a specific time and day before I leave in the hope of seeing a heartbeat before I go so I can relax). I will be 6w and 5 days (anyone had any luck with a heartbeat at this early stage?) I didn't see a heartbeat with either previous preg so this would be a big milestone for me - fingers crossed!
-
Twin Sister glad to hear4 mS is better and US went well :D
Kirsten  that's the spirit
TinaR I know I know, I've had words with Squeak but no sign yet. So when will you know what's going on?
Smallfry if I could go to the shop I'd make them they sound so nice. thanks for the BH contraction help, I figured the same, So it's BH atm. But OB said it's still a good sign.
Cherished my boobs only hurt for a while then nothing till a few weeks ago. I got cramps all 1st trimester they. I think make a dr's appointment will help you relax.
Chuckie my friend had a scan around 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat.
ATM saw ob yesterday and made another appointment for next Thursday. she said she's away on the weekend back Tuesday, so if bubs comes over the weekend I'll have another ob (not fussed). She said bubs has moved further down, and that the regular BH are a good sign.
So it's just waiting. My dad rang from Canada yesterday and said he had a feeling... I wish everyone else would stop having "feelings" and I"d have a Feeling LABOR! cranky mumma alert. Didn't sleep enough. I seem to crash one night for like 10-12 hours then the next day 4-5. who knows.
Have a great day all,
-
Cherished, this pregnancy is different to my first in that my boobies have NEVER hurt but only tingled at times. Please try and relax, remember you've got an awesomly high HCG, a great HB and you've seen bubs. Those are good odds to have in your corner hunni. You will make yourself stressed and sick, I know you think about it but don't get worked up unless its necessary. Bloody hell, I wish I was with you so I could give you a cuddle!
-
Sunny my love, it's always so great to hear from you  Thanks... I felt your cuddle through your post.
Chuckie thanks for your words, they are very reassuring, when will your scan be? The oB told me on Wed that there should be heartbeat at 7 weeks as you can start to see one at around 6.5 weeks. So I hope you can ;)
Greenslw I get excited every time I see a post from you!!! I think you are going into labour! Your boobie advice was also very helpful hon, thanks... Now go have your baby already!
AFM I have got a huge rash on my arm (from stress) It's funny that I didn't feel 'that' worried to have broken out in a rash! I knew I was stressed this morning but it jsut goes to show that stress really does effect your body in different ways without you knowing it and it can't be good for bubs. I am less worried now that I have been to the dr's and gotten a referral to have another scan. At this stage I will wait until the 9 week mark (unless I freak out again)!
-
Cherished, I know you're into alternitive medicine etc. how bout some vitamine B? I drank the liquid stuff regularly in my first trimester, bright yellow pee but it did calm me down, I've had more the last couple of weeks.
ATM still waiting, but ok, I've shifted my brain from "hurry up" to "enjoy this it's not going to last" and it seams to be helping.
-
Thanks Greenslw :) I've been thinking to get more of my high potency Vit B complex tablets for a couple of weeks now so your post has prompted me into action ;) My rash has gone now and I am feeling much happier and calmer, most likely due to feeling sick, dry reaching yesterday and sore boobies again :D It's great you've been able to change your mind set to something more positive. Now on a separate note we were belly buddies (not sure if you remember) my 2nd angel was due on Jan 29th I think ( funny that I can't remember the exact date) and I have only just thought yesterday that I could be getting ready to give birth too. I wasn't pregnant again on my 1st EDD in October and it was really depressing so thank goodness I am pregnant for this one as it is totally keeping my mind off the past! I remember being so excited that we were in the same belly buddy thread and than shattered that I had to leave :( So it's just wonderful that we both post in here at the very exciting end of your pregnancy and the very exciting start of mine. Thanks for being such a great friend
-
Cherished1 - so pleased you are feeling happier and calmer and the rash has gone - all the usual preg symptoms are enough on their own! My scan is booked for Feb 4th fingers crossed.
Smallfryplus - made the choc chip cookies yest they were delicous and DH was thrilled they were soft (the holy grail of cookies apparently).
Greenslw - hopefully the long weekend will make time go a bit faster for you! - thanks for letting me know about the scan.
ATM woke up yesterday with the sore nipples I remember from last time (not as bad as others say but you know they are there) happy to be up to week 5 (feels like sooo early after being in double figures a few months back) feeling pretty good (m/s is yet to kick in in earnest but I am having dreams that I am m/c almost every night!)
-
Cherished I do remember and it fills me with so much joy that you are starting your new jurney before I end mine. You have worked so hard for your baby and It is wonderful to see it all happening
Chuckie I hope your dreams turn to more positive ones soon  but remember it's only your mind processing things.
ATM this weekend flew, I'm off to mums tomorrow for a movie day and to keep my mind off things. Still pretty positive.
DH was so cute today, he was putting another layer of plaster on my belly cast. It is a bit funny to see yourself in cast form but I'm so glad we did it. Ladies you just must do it the later the better although I think if I did it now bubs would kick and crack it. Really strong movements now.
Anyone doing anything fun for Australia day? DH suggested movies, I think that sounds good with 38C is SA.
-
Hello Ladies,
I have been lurking in the background since my m/c in Sept... I've never posted before in a thread, only wrote about my story when we lost our first baby, I just tend to read everyone's stories from the TTC after m/c or loss tread and now this wonderful thread, hoping it will give me something, hope, strength, courage anything really. And it has this is a wonderful forum, and you ladies are all wonderful.....
Well as my ticker says I am pregnant, only just but it's there, I think I'm waiting until 7wks 1day, after that I'll be more happy, that's how long I was pregnant for last time.
I have to ask, is it crazy to have been pregnant before, yet feel completely different?? I've been 5.5wks pregnany before, and yet it doesn't feel the same, maybe because the last one was never meant to be and this time round it is??...
I'm not wanting to over think things, which I usually do, but this just feel right, the overtireness (omg today i could not do anything but sleep, had 10hrs sleep woke up had breakfast, cleaned the kitchen and had to have another 2hr nap), the ms, the sore boobs...
Anyone feel the same or am I'm just going mad??
-
chuckie - glad you had a go at the cookies and enjoyed them :) I made another batch yesterday for a bbq we had this afternoon and they went down very well. Though I overcooked the last two trays as I got chatting with DH while they were in so those ones are a bit dry and not so tasty. I'm forcing myself to eat them rather than the 'good ones' that are left cos my sis is coming over tomorrow and I have to have some left for her!!
greenslw - I reckon movies sounds good. We have no plans here. Tomorrow, however, I'm off for either a pedicure or manicure with my sis. Haven't decided which yet but she'll have a pedi for sure.
I'm dying to do our belly cast! Right now I have all the stuff sitting on the couch next to me so that I can investigate what is involved lol Trying to put it off for another two weeks as then I'll only be 2 weeks away from 'the end'. Keep getting paranoid that I'll end up going early and miss out on getting it done though so I'm getting a bit of an itchy trigger finger over it all!!
HopePositiveLove - when I fell preg this time it did feel different to when I m/c only a couple months earlier. For some reason, even though I was fearful, I just knew it was going to be ok this time. I don't know if it was wishful thinking or if it was genuinely an intuitive knowledge that everything was going to work out this time where it didn't last time. I  your feeling is correct and that this time is your sticky baby. Congratulations! And welcome to the group :)
cherished - I'm with greenslw, vitB is awesome for 1st tri. I was taking blackmores VitB & ginger for ms and it worked wonders.
-
Smallfry - I made your cookies on the weekend with my DS. Hev had fun and they were yummy.
Hope.Positive.Love - welcome and congrats on your pregnacy. AS for feeling differnt I think that is totally normal. My previous successful pregnancy and this one have felt vERy different from teh one I lost. I think this one was meant to be as well. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.
-
Welcome HPL :) I hope your pregnancy is uneventful.
Any movement Green? I am getting excited for you :D
Still sick here... just over 10 weeks, so hopefully not much longer.
-
Smallfry the blackmores vitamins you were taking was it vitb and ginger or do you mean those 2 things seperately. Im feeling pretty crappy and thought i might give it a go.
Welcome hopeposlove i hope you have a very H&H pregnancy
Greenslaw i think movies sounds good on such a hot day, hanging out to hear some very exciting news from you. :D
Cherished hope you are starting to feel a little better
Welcome chuckie hope you have a H&H pregnancy too
Tina how did your scan go hun? Hope everything is going well with zen and hes still booting you nice and hard
Hello to everyone else i have missed
Talk soon, take care
-
Hi ladies,
how is everyone going?
Welcome & congrats HPL!
I am having horrible morning sickness, worse than I have ever had before, so that has got to be a good sign right?
I had an appt with my GP (he is a new GP I've only been going there for a few months), and he was great, very reassuring. I wish I had of seen him when I went to emergency with the m/c instead of the yucky dr I saw the first time! :( Anyway, I feel alot better now, and he gave me the can't blame yourself speech - but I think for the first time I actually believed it, IYKWIM?
I have my early scan (8w) booked for Saturday, so I think I will feel better after that, but I am also concious of the fact that we saw the baby and h/b last time, and then still lost it the next day (MUST NOT THINK OF THAT!!). As others have said, I think I will feel better after I have passed the nine-week mark. I am concious that I do feel different this time, I guess I just don't want to get my hopes up in case it's not.
oohhhh it's hot..... how are you coping in this heat greenslw?
-
eliselouise - it's blackmores morning sickness formula and is a combination of B6 and ginger. You take I think it's 3 per day and it builds up in your system and then you gradually drop them down as the morning sickness comes under control or, rather, when you get through the first trimester. Of course, if the ms hasn't finished, you just up the dose again and it's safe to take.
milly - hope your u/s goes well on the weekend. It's great you've got yourself a GP that you're comfortable with and like. It makes such a difference.
AFM getting lots of downwards movement from bubs. She seems to be taking aim at my cervix and punching with all she's got and it hurts a lot! She did it while I was driving the other day and it took all my control to stop from swerving out of my lane. That was the first time. Now that I know it's happening regular, I'm a lot more grippy on the steering wheel when driving but it's still a worry.
greenslw - did you manage a movie today? if so, what did you watch? or did you go into labour instead?! lol (hope it was the latter!)
-
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :D
Hoping my feelings are right, I'm getting regular BT for my levels just to make sure they are still going up.. I'll have a scan around the 8 week mark, then probably again at the 12 lol....
I figure it can't hurt to make sure everything is ok, my DP has been very supportive with our journey, he's a lot more confident about this one too, which eases my mind a lot!!
Milly5: Good Luck with your scan on Saturday :D
Tanya: hopefully a few more weeks and then the ms will slow or stop altogether
Twin Sister - Thanks for the encouraging words, fingers crossed this one does stick
-
:welcome: HPL and congratulations
Greenslw haven't heard from you in a couple of days... Is there a new arrival??? :p
Milly YAY for your scan on Sat, can't wait to hear how it goes
Smallfry sounds like you have got a little boxing champion in there!
eliselouise How are you feeling hon?
Chuckie I hope those dreams go away, it must be very upsetting :( Maybe try some positive visulisation before you go to sleep?
:hello: Hello everyone else
I feel like I've reached a mini milestone today, 8 weeks! So excited as I feel very much pregnant and think this little heartbeat is a sticky one :D Can't wait till my 9 week scan next Wed.
-
Hey Gals, I recognise a few names here.... Hope you're all doing well. Update for me? 6 weeks today! I am pretty excited.
HPL - each pregnancy can be different you! I have been down the path of having my HcG levels tested every weeks until I reached the magic mark of the past m/c at that time. Looking back on it now, it didn't help me much and I didn't enjoy that part of the pregnancy as all I seemed to focus on was the results, which I would get every Saturday..... it really did me a lot of good to stop that. I hope it words for you and doesn't do your head in.
AFM - ms comes and goes, but today was a a rough day, no pukies, but spent most of the day thinking I would, lots of deep breathing and stubborness. So far, it hasn't gotten me down. I made a comittment to enjoy the pregnancy, and obviously for me and this pregnancy, this is it!
On a funny side, I seem to have a lot of wind, and some wind pains and loud gurgling now and then. Damn it can be embarrassing.....
I am very impressed to have reached this milestone of 6 weeks. It's amazing what you become thankful for. I guess I have enough practice at loss. I am surprised I am not a basket case, but am doing surprisingly well.
I see my ob for an scan next week - can't wait, as I have this very real fear of an ectopic pg. I have not had one before and don't really meet the criteria, but still I worry about it. I hope I don't see monsters in the bushes at every turn, but I suspect I will.
Here's a question. Do you think your uterus would feel full and poke out if you had an ectopic pg? I reckon my uterus has really gotten cracking...
Cherished - congrats on your milestone. How are you going with the mental demons? Are you scanning every week?
Milly5 - 10 weeks. Go girl.
TinaR - I found you! For some reason I didn't think to look in the sticky.
Take care and as much as you can cherish the moment.
-
Dory - Yah 6 weeks!!! :confetti: I know it is hard to focus on the positives when you have been disappointed before but worrying is not doing you or the bean any good (if only I could listen to my own advice!) I don't know much about eptopic pregnancies but surely they are not that common - hopefully you will see a heartbeat at the scan and you can start to get a little more excited!
Greenslw - any news - I think we are all dying to know! Thanks heaps for your comments re dreams and processing I think they really helped as I had not thought of it that way.
Cherished1 - 8 weeks is a great milestone to reach :happyforyou: - everyday is one day closer to the magic 12week mark - I can't wait to hear about your 9 week scan.
HPL - welcome! It must be great to have a positive partner, my DH is ALWAYS very cautious with his optimisim and this time around I don't think he will believe it until he sees the kid!
Milly - I read some stats on the Miscarriage Assoc site and it said - If the scan picks up a heartbeat and the baby appears to be the right size according to your dates, this can be very reassuring. Research has shown that if you see a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the chances of the pregnancy continuing are 78%. A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks to 99.4%. So things could still go wrong, but as long as there is a heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage decreases as the weeks go by. I know this may be cold comfort after what has happend to you but I am liking those odds!!!
I had my first craving on Aust Day - I woke up and had brekky at about 7am and by 9am I HAD to have a meat pie which I inhaled (I am usually a slow eater) I then went back to bed at about 10am and slept for a couple of hours! I am taking this as a good sign as I have never had a craving before (hopefully it means I have a sticky bean!)
Thank god the m/c dreams are slowing up. Also I am sure my belly has already popped out - I know it is crazy early but I can't help but think it could be connected with such a recent pregnancy (maybe my uterus hadn't quite stretched back yet???)
-
Look at my new Av!! I decided that I need to take a step to getting myself into more pregnancy mode... because I am HAVING A BABY!!
I am assuming Green has had her little bundle!! :D
-
*taps foot impatiently* come on Greenslw...we are waiting for your announcement!
Hi to everyone. just popping in quickly to say hi and hope everyone is doing great - its fantastic to see so many new mummies joining the thread.
Dory! you made it :)
Elise - nearly 12 weeks...that has seemed to go so fast
AFM: while yes I have a belly and can feel movement it is still not very real yet. I don't know that it will be real till the pain hits lol

Greenslw - I am so happy for you, what a truly magical time for you, and the realisation of a cherished dream. Welcome to Lincoln too, what a precious little man. Good luck with your parenting journey and for the next 3 months or so.
Hey Chuckie - Good craving! Very australian. I don't know when women typically get cravings. I seem to desire rice, in all of my pregnancies, from very early on. We are pretty close in due dates. Depending on which system I use my EDD is either 22 or 24 September 2010, and your in September 25. I am hopeful, and I am not very worried at the moment. I seem to have found some peace. When I am in here, it is probably the only time that I let myself worry. I think because I am understood in here and always welcome. People on the outside of BB try, but they really don't want to hear about my worries.
TinaR - wow sis, now I have much more of an understanding behind your words of comfort and wisdom to me. Thankyou. Your own journey has been pretty difficult and I am not sure I knew some of the details before your post here. Maybe I have just been off with the pixies.
No more persies for me tonight. AFM, intermittent nausea today, including as I type.... this is certainly different from my previous pregnancies, but I just accept it as part of this pregnancy. So what else? I had some whacky dreams last night - in one I saved a toddler from drowning. It felt so real. In the second, I dreamt my ob had plastic surgery on his butt, and was proudly showing off the new look in some gucci slacks. LOL go figure that one out. Presumably you can get plastic surgery on your butt?
-
dory - love that plastic surgery dream! Pretty sure you can get plastic surgery on any part of the body these days. I was posing a possibility to my sister the other day after seeing an ad for liposuction "I wonder if people ever go in and request an unusual shape... they do with their dog-cuts - just look at poodles!!"
I'm starting to get scared... the BH are getting stronger and more painful. I'd forgotten what contractions felt like and even the BH ones are bad enough!! I'm not really looking forward to that final day now!! I think Melbourne needs more hot weather to remind me exactly how uncomfortable this part of pregnancy is and how much I really DO want the baby out!! The last few days of beautiful weather have made me relax into comfort again!! Here's hoping the next two days of heat bring me back to reality! hahaah I'm such a whimp!
