Hi all just wanted to pop in and say I'm still around and thinking of you all. Its so lovely to see all your tickers and how much further along you all are.
India's mum OMG almost 20weeks. I'm so excited for you. Have you had your morphology scan now?
T-Hopes your so close. I CAN'T wait to hear your precious bubs arrival. I wonder what it will be? A baby obviously but a little girl or a little man. It must be less then a week now. Do you know if you are having a c/s or are they going to induce you? (Provided he/she doesn't come on its own before hand) I remember you saying both were very real options if bub was big and with the concerns you have had with your kidneys.
Angelfish not sure if I said earlier or not CONGRATULATIONS. I am jealous lol. I so want another baby and J is only 6weeks old. Try not to worry about numbers (easier said then done) have you got a scan date for peace of mind?
Pash thinking of you and praying that the spotting is completely normal for this pregnancy.
Luna great to see you over here and welcome to any of the other newbies I missed in my absence.
Dory I'm praying I read about your BFP very soon. Has AF returned? If not hopefully you might skip her all together and just get the BFP instead. Lots of women have no problems falling pregnant whilst BF. I bet you are one of them when your cycle returns if it has. I weaned my DD at 23months as I couldn't get pregnant and I thought BF was contributing but turns out I had other issues preventing it. It took almost 2years after that but I had tubal damage after all so nothing to do with BF. Its very disheartening knowing that the same thing will most likely happen again and I so want another as soon as my body will give it to me. There wont be any announcements from me. AF took 14months to return with DD and I think it was only because I went on the pill to get AF then my cycle came on its own as soon as I went back of it. Anyway know I have you on my list of peoples I can't wait to hear are expecting a bub.
Wannabemum woohoo for a great scan and most likely expecting a girl. Little girls are awesome (I have 3) I can't comment on boys as I don't have any. Maybe next time I might.
Reet I know I said it in another thread but CONGRATULATIONS. A little girl that is awesome. J wasn't the only girl in our due in April thread after all. It was looking that way for ages.
Ferrals hope everything is sorted with Ella's reflux now. Have you heard from Murraycod? Hope everything went well for her and still is.
Hello Iona and JJ. How are our little 30th March bubbas going? Mine is going great. She has finally started gaining weight but only about 200grams a week so a decent amount but not huge. We eventually hit the 5kilo mark and she is 57cm long. She is such a pleasure.
Forshelby thinking of you. I hope you get your notes sooner then expected. Do you think they are keeping them to edit them so to speak? Try covering there arses or something? I don't get why there is such a hold up. I mean I know its typical but still I don't see why something so simple could take so long.
MrsS congratulations on your little men arriving. I hope you have them home soon.
Tegam hello and to everyone else I have missed.
mildez....how u going?

Straight and tired....i ended up getting home at 11 coz i was just buggard.....i made an effort at least...probably wont be another one till after the baby.....its nice not to wake up with a hangover alth im tired

Hi girls - sorry ive been MIA.
Had a pretty rotten week last week with specialists and scans. Unfortunately my kidney problem has become really serious and i need to have a little operation on Tuesday. They need to insert a stent from my kidney, down thru my utera and into my bladder in the hope that it will start to drain and the fluid/swelling will go down. It will then have to be removed with another op a few wks after bub arrives. My urologist said that if we dont do it, i could seriously be looking at permanent kidney damage :( THe op is apparently quite straight forward but i have to have a general anesthetic so im sooo worried about bub! THey have assured me that its perfectly safe and bub will be closely monitored and i dont need to be under for very long but im still so worried for my little one :(
My ob is very happy with the urologist decision to do the stent cause if he didnt my ob said he would have to deliver bub urgently to protect the kidney and so they are now hoping to get me to 37-38wks which is much much better for bub b4 inducing/Caesar so fingers crossed the stress of this doesnt send me into early labour!!
Anyway as i said, its happening on Tuesday, hopefully i can come home that night but will possibly need to stay depending on how i feel i guess. Ill keep you all posted!
JUst so annoyed to get so close and this silly kidney conks out on me now!! I just need to focus on the fact that this precious little bub will be in our in just a few little weeks :)
Sorry no persies, im feeling a little blue :( I havent read over the last few pages so im really sorry if i have missed anything big.
xx
thopes - so sorry to hear :( but as long as you and bub are going to be safe and well thats all that matters - and dont worry about the general hurting bubs, they wouldnt do it if there was a risk.. you will get to hold your little one soon! xxx
melster - good on you for going out! its strange to sit there and watch all the drunk people when it used to be you isnt it? sometimes i miss it because i feel like im missing out on my friends but my baby is more important :)
i have to go through all the hand me downs from my sister and brother, considering my mum dosent know its a girl either i dont know how im going to hide the clothes from her.. oh well if it gets out it gets out i suppose!
im going good.. baby is kicking like crazy atm & we r just about to put the house on the market, ive picked a real estate so im a bit excited
mildez - nice to hear from you. hope everything is going well
hello to all the lovely ladies xx
Morning ladies..
T-hopes...its good to hear from you. Im sorry things arent that great at the moment, and you have to have an op...hopefully it will all go smoothly tho....im glad you're nearly 36 weeks....at least if something does happen bubs should be ok to be born at that stage...later, yes defiantly better...but if it does happen bubs should be ok. I hope everything goes ok and am thinking of you...
Hey Alish....im glad i got out, but im glad i wont have to now go out until bubs is born lol yeah it was a bit strange, especially because i didnt know everyone..and i am a social butterfly when i am drunk..and a bit shy when i am straight LOL......i have just been hiding the clothes in the cupboards and mum doesnt go in there, and i do have some blue stuff anyways which will hopefully blow her off...i keep saying i think its a girl..which i did anyways...
ATM..OMG....i woke up (seriously) about 10 times last night with having vomited in my sleep. I dont know what to do. I take two losec tablets a day, and those chewies...but its obviously pushing everything upwards and out...and my, does it burn.....i have tried extra pillows, not eating late, milk, everything etc.....its soooooooooooo horrible...i just dont know what to do..dont think i can handle 9 weeks of this.....
T-Hopes- When i was in hospital at 37 weeks there was a 47 year old lady 34 weeks pregnant (or was she 48) anyway she was pushing 50 she had the exact same thing you are having a stent in her kidney and was to have it removed after bub was born.
Now i dont want to scare you just want you to ask your doc everything possible so you are well and truely informed but this lady had to stay in hospital on morphine because of the pain she was having after the surgery the nurses were coming in regularly to give her endone (pain relief) she told me she had been in hospital a month already and tried going home but the pain was unmanagable at home so they made her stay in hospital anyway when the specialist came to see her she asked why she was in so much pain and he said this operation only works for 50-60% of patients having this procedure:o and she was like why the hell didnt you tell me and he just said we dont know until we try it if it is going to work or not.
So ask your doctor about how you will be after wards i know risking losing a kidney is not an option but this poor lady had a real rough time.
I hope you dont mind me telling you i felt this doctor didnt give this poor women all the facts before she had the procedure.
Maybe having bub at 37 weeks would be an option i had my 3rd son at 37 weeks no prob's that way bub is classed as full term and your kidneys get a rest and you avoid surgery.
I hope you are one of the ones the procedure goe's smoothly for and works.
Hi everyone still lingering around Ella is doing FAB.
Hi girls, how are you all on this chilly Monday? I had my blood test today & booked in for my scan on June 3rd, hanging out to see bubs again. Feeling really drained at the moment. I have some issues going on with my family (I mean not DH or DS :D) & it's making me really stressed. Then I worry about the effect on bubs & feel worse.
Wow! Thanks Ferrals! Really glad you did say that cause i want to be as prepared as i can! The urologist did say that it would be very uncomfortable and to expect a lot of pain, bleeding etc... Ive been googling a lot about them and so many ppl say it is awful :( But unfortunatly i have no choice! Its either this or they have to would deliver bub now and i know this op is better for bub so i will just have to suck it up! My ob said that he do caesar at 37-38wk so hopefully i dont have to put up with it too long and i think once bub is out, the pain wont be as intense cause less pressure in there! Im hoping anyway!
The urologist said that i would be home the same night but im not counting on it! Im dreading the whole thing to be honest!! We are taking all our hosp bags just incase it kicks starts things! :bhcontract:
Good luck T-Hopes i hope it goe's well and before you know it bub will be here.
Pain is something us women seem to handle i can tell you the night of my c section when i had no pain relief i thought i was going to die but i grit my teeth and put up with it thinking it was normal so we are stronger then we think and when our bubs are involved we will do anything.
Thinking of you tomorrow.
Hugs Thopes, will be thinking of you. Rather than being cranky about your kidney not lasting the distance be thankful your body has done so well growing your baby! Wish there was more we could do! Hope you will have loads of support when you get home after the op!
Thanks so much ladies!
Tegam - thats such a great way to put it! :)
Tegam - yeh i havent even met this bub and i am so protective! Its such a strong instinct!
DH has been great! We are doing my BellyCast in a minute :) Just in case!!! Brrrr its gunna be coooooold!!!! My fundal measurement is 39wk so hopefully it works out nicely!
xx
gosh things are going from bad to worse - just got the awful news tonight that DH's mums battle with cancer is coming to an end. She was admitted on friday and the doctor said tonight that she has 2-3wks left in her, her pallative chemo has been feeding all the tumours and they are everywhere... poor darling, 54 y/old and may not even get to meet this bub that she has battled on for. so heartbreaking :( my heart breaks for my beautiful man, i cant begin to imagine the emotions he is feeling tonight. He is going thru the most traumatic event in his life with losing his mum and the most amazing time with the upcoming birth of his first child. He doesnt deserve this, no one does
hello
I am just popping in to say hi and hope i can join you special ladies.
I am 6 weeks with number 4, lost number 3 at 10 weeks on new years day this year, a missed m/c. I have two kiddies, ds nearly 3 and dd 17 months. have been feeling very anxious and detached to this pg and last week felt so seedy and this week not so much, so of course freaking out.
Hope to get to know you all and share your stories/knowledge and babies!
x madame x
T-Hopes: I'm sure your drs know what they are doing but i still feel worried for you. It seems such a shame that kidney can't hang in one more week so you can have your baby delivered and avoid the op... but i guess if that was the best option they would have said so! Sounds like you need something done more urgently. Glad you are prepared for all the possibilities. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping that it is a smooth successful procedure. I hope your mother in law is able to hang in there just a bit longer to meet her grandchild. What a tough time for all of you. Hugs
Madame rogers: Welcome to the thread! Wishing you all the best for a sticky baby. It's very hard to relax after having a miscarriage once before but the odds are on your side for a take home baby.
CHeezelmonster: Counting down the days till your next scan i bet. I've lost track... will that be the 12wk one? Hope family stress clears up soon. Baby will be fine but it's not much fun for you.
Alish: Yay the eggplant!
Oh, i had an idea about hiding the baby clothes from your family: what if you say that you are sorting out piles of girls and boys things so you'll be ready for whatever you get. (They don't have to know which pile you plan to use)!
Melster: My doctor said i could get a script for Zantac if the chewy tablets weren't enough to control the heartburn. (It's safe in pregnancy). Is that the same as the losec you are on? Is there anything else they can suggest for you? I know how you feel, bad heartburn is awful.
Ferrals: Glad little Ella is doing well. How are her big brothers adjusting to a new little sister?
Hi Tegam and Mildez! Great to hear from the new mummas!
AFM: Had really quiet day with baby Saturday and woke up to more 'quiet' on Sunday. I was just lying in bed turning from side to side hoping it would move. Even had a cold drink. Got little flutters but not a lot and was driving myself nuts with visions of horrible things going wrong. I'm ok most of the time but i can't seem to avoid these episodes of imagining the worst every few days. But today the baby was disco dancing and I felt better: Had a little chat to the baby saying "nice to hear from you! Looking forward to meeting you!" I wish every day could be like today... Looking forward to Sunday when i will be finishing up my 2nd trimester. Yay!
welcome madame and congratulations.. i know its hard not to stress.. but everything will be fine! x
dampyre hasnt been on here in a while, she is in my belly buddies group, her waters broke & she got and infection.. she is on antibiotics and is 2-3 cm dialated.. she in on bedrest and is at a friends place atm.

cheezel how far along are you now? without a ticker i never know!! i bet youre excited about your scan :D
hey possum! dosent it scare the pants off you when theyre quiet? mine was yesterday, i still felt her move, but not as much as on the weekend.. prob cuz i took it easy.. she likes when i sing though haha! either that or she is kicking me to shut up!
thats a good idea about the clothes, i never thought to do that! ill do it this weekend thanks!
afm - im going well.. we are in the process of putting the house on the market i cant remember if ive said that.. have the real estate coming to take photos this week so after work of a night ive been trying to get the house in order, its sh*t when you work 8-5 everyday to try and get stuff like that done, esp when its dark at 530 now!!
bought some cloth nappies off ebay the other day, got them yesterday theyre not bad!! im getting a bit more excited about it all.
my next u/s is on monday and mum is coming with me, she hasnt seen bubs since i was like 7/8 weeks pregnant so that will be nice for her.
sorry to anyone ive missed, not intentional i hope youre well
have a nice day
Morning,
Alish...i hope you're house sells quickly!!!! Yeah i know i hated when i had to work everyday especially when i was pregnant, and then you would come home and want to curl up in bed.
Oh no poor damprye...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thinking of you and i hope the lab can be stopped..please let us know how you're going. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
PM...yeah i think there the same if not a bit stronger. I had it with DD as well....
Madamrogers.....welcome and congratualtions and i hope you have a healthy nine months. Its very easy to feel that way after a loss and a new pregnancy. It can be quiet emotional the next few months and different, we are here when you need and understand completely.
T-hopes......im so sorry...that just made me cry, i feel for you and you're hubby and family..especially with what i am going through with my dad. Life can be so cruel sometimes and you just wonder why. I will hope and pray that she can stay until the baby is born so she can at least have a cuddle. And you look after you're self as well with all thats going on and you're kidneys. When it rains it seems to poor.
Hey ferrals..glad ella is going well
Cheezlemonster, sorry to hear you're having troubles. Are you ok?
Hey everyone else.
ATM....things arent that great. Its too much to go into but i have asked hubby to leave. I need to have some time away and some space and a good hard think. Cant do that when i am at my mums, i need him to go. But he wont. He avoided me like the plague last night because i was asking him to leave. I wish he would give me the space i need ......since its his wrong doing in the first place, but i think i will have a fight on my hands...i just want him to respect my wishes and leave and give me some space...since its easier for him leave and i have DD to worry about and dont want her unsettled and are pregnant and are going on maternity leave and dads sick.......etc
Oh Melster - as if you didn't have enough going on you poor thing! to you - I hope he gives you the space you need. Be kind to yourself.
T-hopes, I hope your stent goes well and works magic for you, I think Tegam had it right, thank goodness your kidneys have gotten you this far!
Damprye - I hope it all stops too, please let yourself rest, I hope there is a good team around her looking after her and bubs!
Madame - welcome! Our angels will be celebrating new years together. Congratulations on your pregnancy - and yes, there are lots of people who understand that freakout - for me it seems to have settled now I can see my belly growing and we've had three scans! Have you got an early scan booked? It certainly helps make it that bit more real. Oh, I didn't have morning sickness, boob symptoms or anything either - just tired - so I constantly thought I wasn't pregnant.
possum - glad the baby danced for you today! Enjoy those moments, so exciting!
alish - good luck with the sale, I hope it goes quickly so you can get on with enjoying where you're at.
Cheezel - I hope your family stuff settles down so you can relax and enjoy - I'll be thinking of you on June 3 (my wedding anniversary!) and hoping baby puts on a great show for you!
Mildez - thanks for the good news on girls, for some reason I thought I'd only have boys, lol so we'll see how it all goes!
AFM, back still a mess, seeing acupuncturist next week boo :( work is flat out, DS didn't sleep today for Grandma so now he's a whingy whiny mess (trying to just let him do his own thing for a little while before an early night), but thankfully don't work tomorrow so hopefully I can get some rest tomorrow. Baby's good though, belly's expanding - can't suck it in anymore! I've told everyone at work (my team anyway) and made the extended family and facebook announcements - we're officially out of the closet!
