Hi all - just a quick update on Forshelby - she was sent home today from the hossy, all ok just not favourable for induction.... FX crossed that all goes ok and a natural labour starts soon. I hope she doens't mind I posted this.... didn't mean to steal her thunder, but I know we're all anxious as all get out to read her BA Understandably she's disappointed but now hoping bubs arrives without the need for induction.... and all the signs are there .... come on bubs, let mumma forshebly have the natural birth she's hoping for.
-
definitely - come on cervix, do the right thing already! Although, after an emergency C-section with DS, I now know it doesn't matter how it gets out, it doesn't change how much you love them. No way could I love him any more than I do. So fx for a natural delivery and a quick recovery but big ups to a healthy and happy mum and bub.
afm I am knackered. I was up for a couple of hours overnight too, from 4 til 5:50, then he was up for the day at 6:30, so I might of well have been up since 4. And I have a rotten cold. argh.

Forshelby-Sorry your body just isnt ready yet but to be honest being induced when your not ready isnt fun with my 1st son i was induced due to high BP and it took 26 hours of terrible contractions that started out strong not the nice lead up like a normal birth starts ended up with a very distressed baby and an all out emergency he was resusitated and in intensive care for a few days so in all a pretty horrible experience where my other 2 started at home nice and easy and were not real painful until the end they were beautiful easy births and i think for your 1st bub if your health is all good a natural nice birth would be awesome for you i hope you dont have to wait to much longer.
You never know we said all along our bubs might share their birthday.
-
You must be dissapointed Forshelby but i agree better if your body is ready. Hope its soon for you. Maybe your baby does want to share a birthday with ferrals ella on friday:D
-
Forshelby~ i have everything crossed that you can have a natural delivery. I think the baby is holding out to have the same bday as ferrals LO
-
Thanks Dory, I was hoping you'd update everyone for me, we were exhausted after getting up at 4am and jyst slept most of the day. :) Really I'm happy with our decision not to force it if bubby isn't ready, and I feel like I have a second chance at the birth I wanted from the start.
After a s&s though (warning, major TMI) I've gad bouts if semi regular contractions, hardcore backpain and here's the good bit : I've had several bloody shows throughout the day. DP called my s&s a 'fanny scrape' We spent most of our time in the hospital laughing and being silly, it really helped me not to feel nervous.
Anyhoo, I have the feeling things will be getting started really soon so you may or may not hear from me again before bubby's arrival.
And of course thank you all for the labour vibes and support :) Sorry for the me post!
Oh and ferrals, you just might be right about out little ones sharing their bday. Best of luck to you, hun!
-
good luck forshelby!!!!!
and of course ferrals as well!!
im so excited yay!!
-
Forshelby i am so happy you have more of a chance now to experience a natural start to labour!

Hey Girls!
Im just going to do a quick post tonight... having a slack attack! :)
Forshelby- Oh its so good that ur body seems to be doing its thang! I hope u followed mine and the nurses advice today ;) Did the s&s hurt?? or is it uncomfortable?? If its not TMI do u mind sharing what they do?? (thats if u even make it back in here before babys born!)
Good to hear u had a sleepy day today..exactly what u needed! Really really excited for u!!
Ferrals- OMG OMG OMG only 2 sleeps!!! I hope ur doing nothing at home except for resting!
Hopefully murraycod is waiting on ur BA and making an appearance then... If ur reading We miss u murraycod!!!!
And thats it for my persies... i told u i was being slack! Cldnt miss the 2 most pregnantest girls in here tho! :)
AFM- Had ob. appointment today, everything is looking perfect. Baby is measuring spot on and head is down in my pelvis area still.. even tho im not getting any pressure yet which is a bit weird! Only thing is I weighed 64.3 two weeks ago and today i weighed 64.4 so was only up 100 grams?! I think its a bit bizarre..i thought this wld be wen i wld start putting on weight quickly! Ob said it was all good tho so i guess it is! Ferrals i think u said u didnt put on any weight at this stage either??
I also asked him if it was ok to still be sleeping on my back cos one of my friends on the weekend said it restricts babies breathing.. i kinda freaked out a bit cos im always doing it cos its comfier alot of the time then on my side. Ive also had a few ppl say they had to stop sleeping on their backs at like 30 weeks cos it was too uncomfy. He said it was definitely fine tho and around the 38 week mark i might start struggling to breathe properly from the pressure of baby and will only be able to sleep on my side. So thats all good! :) Has anyone else found they have been able to sleep on their backs til close til the end???
Anyway thats it from me tonight, hope u all have a good long sleep... except for maybe u forshelby ;) hopefully that baby of urs is planning to make its grand entrance very very soon!
xxx

Oooooh forshelby, that's awesome news. Induction sucks so much, I'm soooo glad you're able to start labouring at home :happydance:
Reet, I slept on my back with DS for ages, probably til mid-30 weeks, I'd often start the night on my side but wake up on my back. It's more about your comfort than bubs. As long as you're sleeping at this point...
I feel sick - cold sick - and had a serious case of cbfs tonight so we had takeaway dinner. Hope we have a good night's sleep tonight - especially little man, if he sleeps, I sleep.
-
Go forshelby sounds like things are happening on there own so exciting
Ferrals cant believe you only have 2 more sleeps!
Do u reckon youll get any sleep on thursday night?
My doctor was running over an hour late i was so bored then i found out the girl before me had lost her baby they had taken 19 months to make. I felt terrible for her - our babies are so so precious. My OB looked devestated
Reet i cant sleep on my back anymore bubs hates it. How close are we to the top of the list after this week we must only have mildez ahead of us - how scary!!!!
Last day of work tommorow :-)
-
ferrals - best of luck today, cant wait to hear about your beautiful baby girl.
forshelby - i hope you give birth today too! good luck!
-
Alish-my c section is tomorrow morning lol.
-
hahaha i keep thinking today is friday! sorry!
-
I am sending out postive vibes for ferrals and forshelby i keep checking in here for news on forshelby. And i cant wait to see ferrals ba
-
Just quickly from me again
Forshelby - GL sweetie... thinking of you.
Ferrals - this is your last day in this thread as a pregnant woman!!!!!! OMG - If I don't get back on before tomorrow - thinking of you for tomorrow. This is the last sleep ever before you hold your little darling Ella in your arms. Be prepared my sweet for both pure happiness and some sadness for Abbi. Your girl Ella is coming out in style - through the sun roof.
Reet - I was on my back well into week 30+. Like WBM I would start on my side and wake on my back. I did try and do a lot of sleeping on my left side as I'd heard that promotes blood flow to the baby.
Kell - sorry you had to wait for so long.... and that poor woman. My heart just sank for her. But it's reassurring to know your Obs looked devastated, means you've got a gooden. Enjoy your last day of work before Mat leave. YAY for resting.... Ha like that exists with your princess around.
Hiya all around.
-
Kellie - Yay for your last day of work!
Dory - Love the new pic of HB. Gorgeous!!!
Everyone else - Hi! lol
AFM - Still bloody pg lol. DP went to work this morning and I feel a bit crap about this whole thing. Can't help but worry I won't go into spontaneous labour and then will be facing induction again. Don't know why I'm so bummed out today!! I'm going to get some spicy chicken and PIG OUT on it. Now for the TMI, I'm still losing bits of my plug this morning. Big bits. It makes me NOT want to DTD tho even more. I mean, gross. lol My back isn't even as sore today and the ctx are gone. *insert swearword*

Forshelby, yeah it sucks when you think it's happening and boom, it disappears! Won't be long now though! You won't be pregnant for much longer, you'll have you baby in your arms :)
Ferrals: Friday! Wow! Your so close to meeting your little girl, so excited for you, I bet she's gonna be gorgeous :)
Dory: Gorgeous new pic of HB!
Things have been really full on here, started uni again and Sammy is 8 weeks, turns out he's quite opinionated! He's thoroughly gorgeous though, so smiley and chatty. He's got the hiccups at the moment and is still trying to talk to his tiger monkey (a blue toy that's meant to be some kind of animal with a tail....exactly what kind is anyone's guess).
