Yay on your pink bundle
Which hospital are booked into? I have everything crossed you get your VBAC
Did you want me to leave you as a surprise or can i put you down for a girl ?
Looks like September/October will be a busy time with 4-5 babies due.
Thought i put up the list that Damp made again, makes it easier to know who's due etc..
Hello everyone,
I haven't been in here for ages but do read occasionally. It's a hard thread to keep up with when I only have an iPhone!
Congratulations Melster! Enjoy your baby snuggles!
Can't believe I'm next on the list! 36 weeks today and starting to feel 'ready' to have this baby. It's been tough to start believing I'm actually going to be having a baby! I am really looking forward to meeting my littlest man
Hope you are all feeling well! I'll try harder to keep up! Xx
Whoo hoo! SO many gorgeous babies to come You can put me down as a girl - my BB group aren't getting to find out because we've moved over to facebook somewhat and I figure no one else on fb's allowed to know (including my Mum) so it would be a bit mean. So they just have to wait - if any of them come in here (like Helle - due date 22 Nov) they just have to keep their mouths shut
We're booked in at Jesse MacPherson (Clayton). I had DS there and was pretty happy, I love my Ob, so anywhere with him and I'm happy.
Stoked - enjoy every minute waiting for your little bub! Boys are so awesome
I was going to have my 1st at Jesse but it was sooooo busy.
In the end we choose SEPH which ended up being very busy, i saw my OB in the morning & he said please don't go into labour today or tomorrow as the hospital is full.
Of course my water broke that night lol Luckily some people did early discharge & there was a bed for me.
Melster ~ congrats and i love the name i am sooo happy for you
My Lo EDD is 1/7/12 but i am having a c~section the last week of dec I cant believe how fast everyone is moving along and i cant wait to hear about the ba on everyone
My Ob only goes to Jesse and Cabrini, and I'm only 2 minutes from MMC so it made sense for me to go there - also it appeased the control freak in me to know there are always anaesthetists there, there is a level 1 NICU (all at MMC, not Jesse, but you have access). Turned out well for me, I had an emergency c/s at 11:52pm on a Sunday night, so the fact that there was an anaesthetist there was awesome What did annoy me was that because DS was born 8 minutes before midnight, it counted as my first day of the stay! I wasn't even out of recovery when day 2 started!
I saw my Ob yesterday - everything's good, all my headaches etc aren't anything sinister, he thinks it's tension and stress (so muscle related). He joked that a week without kids would help - then he talked about reality!
Poor DH had stomach cramps in the middle of the night so after a disturbed night's sleep I'm not having my sleep in this morning either hope he's feeling better tomorrow so he can get up and look after DS.
If i was that close i would of gone with Jesse for the same reasons, but i was living in Dandy at the time & only 5mins from SEPH so it's pretty much why i choose there.
Glad everything is going well for you
hope ur all going well....thinking of u all and thanks for my well wishes
im still in hospital and think i get out wednesday......todays probably my best day as i got a little bit of sleep...being up since tuesday was really really hard...i was so tired i started to loose it a bit....but with a little bit of sleep it changes a bit.....she was really unsettled last night and i started to go a bit kooky...they took her at 2 and got sleep until her feed at 430.....but then i did a no no......i fed her and was so tired she wouldnt settle so i put the rails up and had a pillow at the side and gave her cuddles but i fell asleep as i was shattered.....and woke up just before 8.....im so lucky the nurses didnt come in to try and give me pills or anything.....but i feel better for it today...and a nurse just showed me a great way to bfeed and settle her so maybe we might get a better night.......im of some of the medicine as it was making me feel so sick and so tired and have swapped to panadiene forte and thats really helped me feel normal again....
poor dd has been unsettled....she has been good in ways but also very naughty and grumpy and wingy...but it would be hard for her and she is not used to being away from me either...so thats kinda hard
no signs of pnatal again bonded with dd2 and love her to bits already...thought the baby blues might have been coming on yesterday....but i was beside myself when i hadnt had any sleep and she was unsettled and i tried everything....but i feel better today...a little teary but heaps better than with dd....so hopefully things settle and are ok when we get home
cant believe she is actually here....it was like one minute i never thought it would happen and the next i was having my baby...cant believe i went into labour naturally......
thanks so much for everyones support and chats and advse....i couldnt have done it without u all.....it has been an interesting 10mths....and its amazing as much as u want it over.....when it is its kinda sad because ur onto the next stage......
Just sneaking in to say a big congratulations to Melster!! U did it!!! I was reading how u werent sure whether u wanted to go natural or c-section.. u needn't have worried.. it ended up being out of ur control anyway! Funny how things pan out
I hope ur feeling ok soon and can get out of the hospital and start properly living as a family of 4
Hi everyone not having a good day woke up and i was bleeding pretty badly went to the er they did an exam cirvix is closed looks like bleeding from there did an ultrasound baby looks great but when i left no answers just with a discharge paper of threatened mc
angel that must have been scary! I'm glad bubs looks great and your cervix is closed. it wasn't anything bad - good luck and I hope there is no more bleeding! Take it easy today
Mel, did you wind up having a VBAC? Hospital policies are sometimes a bit silly re how you're allowed to sleep. When DS was in hospital with croup (about 5 or 6 months old), he wouldn't sleep longer than 45 minutes without needing to be resettled, just because it was so loud. I was in a fold out chair next to him and said he could just snuggle with me, only to be told it was against policy. I eventually said "bugger policy" and he slept for 2 hours snuggled with Mummy. We both needed sleep! I'm so glad the blues are staying away, but if they do turn up, at least you know what to do this time
Wow Stoked I never realised your EDD is the same as my angel's was. To think I could be 36 weeks now... Where has that time gone? I'm not saying this out of hmmph... Not at all! Just out of pure amazement at how time has flown! Hope everything goes exceedingly well for you!
Cheshire my EDD is 8th February and were not going to find out the sex
Mine too Phee - 5 August would have been a busy time, but then I wouldn't be in here, and I wouldn't have met all the lovely ladies who have given me so much support. While I would undo my miscarriage if I could, I've grown in ways I couldn't imagine ever since, and I wouldn't have this special little bundle on board either - and I certainly wouldn't undo that either. Time HAS flown! And I'm so pleased you're in here after our journey ttc after mc together too
Hi everyone i wish that i had better news and info i was told by the ob that becouse i have bled already twice that i have a good chance to lose this lo also i wish that i could stop and enjoy this pregnancy. Sorry for a me post but i am going back under my rock
