Hello everyone, have read but very tired, have copies to below from my bellybuddies group to keep you all up to date!

    AFM:

Well can you be bothered hearing about my day yesterday??

Had a major run of BH on wednesday night that were very ouchy, then on thursday morning i was very dry reachy and threw up a few times (Now nothing special i know) BUT for me these are the ONLY warnings i get that baby is coming soonish. And seeing i was only 34+6 DH and i didnt want to just wait it out and see like we would do at 37weeks....SO off to the hospital i go! Monitored for an age. Showing lovely nice contractions, they OB and MW couldnt believe i wasnt in pain...I knew i was having them but nope not sore. So they do and internal YAY looovvveee getting my vjj out for everyone! SO it shows my cervix in very thin BUT closed (suffer for all those people that have told me this whole pregnancy that id be 2-3cm already and loss as a goose!) I refer back to our car converstation and confirm that i have the SUPER SPORTS MODEL of cervix!!!! So then they were all freaking out saying baby is coming....hmmm i didnt agree as i didnt have any of that "leave me the hell alone' feeling i get. SO they ordered steriods for baby - im glad im a nurse and could say no - as steriods dont work after 30-32weeks! and they ordered for me to stay in on bed rest! far out i have three kids at home! SO i agreed to an moving my US from next monday to yesterday. The scan showed baby fulling engaged (well hello i could have told you that from the pain) and that the cervix is vvvveeeerrrryyyyy short! Well didnt we know that from the internal - but gee thanks for one last date with the dildo cam to confirm NOTHING!

Anyway scan also showed baby back up to the 41% in growth, fluid down to 9... So nothing great but nothing to freak out about, well in my humble opinion!

So back to them wanting me to stay. My thinking was this is pre labour, this is why i labour so fast at the end is cause i have a nice week or so of pre labour. Not nice and yes i know baby could come but no i am not able to stay in hospital for the next week waiting to see when it happens.

So i came home (naughty naughty) came home, had panadol and a nice quiet 1.5hr conversation/relaxation message to my body that this is infact to early to welcome bubs and time to freaking slow up on the whole pre labour ideas. And guess what it worked! The OB said it couldnt be done but ha, i know my body and i believe in my own mental strength! I am not having a 35weeker! The chances of me going another two weeks are not great but not at 35weeks thank you!

But there are some good points. I know know that my cervix is closed so if they do an internal in a week and it shows im 4cm ill know that things are starting to happen and ill be happier with an induction! Their big concern is that i might never dilate slowly, with my history i might go from nothing to 10cm in minute, but thats a risk i am willing to take. Having the short cervix is not comfy and i was wondering if crumpet would lend me her stitch after thursday???

Also another good point is that DH is away now til monday 35+3 and then on leave for......wait for it......7weeks! Amazing, he went and talked to them this morning before he flew off to perth and they just said, dont worry here take more AL! Woohoo so the stress is off us now. DH will be home for the birth (well provided i rest as much as possible until monday night!) Hence i have time to write this essay cause im making the inlaws be grandparents for once in almost 7years, Its hard to rest but ill try to be good!

WOW did you get thru all that??

Tegam-getting so close now how exciting i also have had pre labour signs with my last son i had it from 35 weeks almost every night than spot on 37 weeks my waters broke and he was born 2 hours later maybe that is why the want me to have a ceasar at 37 weeks with this bub because of the placenta previa they dont want to risk going into labour

Tegam - you are NOT having your baby before I do! I will really crack it if that happens!

Mum's here now, it's pretty good. She sent me off to bed for a sleep this afternoon, and she's keeping me busy. We bought two pineapples at the market today, she was so funny, she started bargaining all the prices down, and the guy couldn't say no, he was very friendly about it. He kept saying "I'll do you a deal as long as you don't have it here!" He reckoned I look just like his wife did before she had their 10-pounder son, who we met, he carried all our fruit up to the car for us.

I'm not over being pregnant; I love it and could do it forever. I'm pretty sick of all the "Have you had it yet?" calls though. I answer the phone with "NO, haven't had it yet." Won't be long now though

    Hi all

Wow - Tegam - you've been busy!! What a drama. I'm glad that your relaxation/chat with bubs worked and it doesn't look like things are progressing too fast right now. I hope you do get some warning when it's about to happen, and I hope bubs stays nice and safe in there for a couple more weeks yet.

Melster - soooo glad to hear you had a good scan. Seeing that heartbeat is the best thing in the world. Sending you loads of and looking forward to hearing great results when you get to your 10 week scan!!

Audax - lovely to hear that you are being looked after by your mum. It's great that you're still loving being pregnant, I was pretty fed up by the end with DS. It's such a special time though.

AFM - Had my anatomy scan yesterday, it went really well. Told the sonographer how anxious I was, so every measurement she took she let me know that everything looks normal. Bit disappointed though, we wanted the sex to be a surprise, but both DH and I reckon we caught flashes of boy genitals so 99% convinced it's a boy. I really wanted that total surprise at the birth, but now the only thing that would surprise me is if a girl pops out Plancenta is nicely out of the way of the cervix, which is fantastic. Ob had said it was looking a bit low previously. So relieved not to be staring down the gun of a c-section at this stage.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a nice weekend.

Audax - Have you had it yet? LOL sorry couldn't resist, even though Melster beat me to it. So good to hear you're enjoying your pg right to the very end. Good luck for the birth! Should we start betting on dates/times???

Melster - YAY! So glad you got good news. Can I uncross my fingers now? Sad to hear about the lady before you....... I hope she's ok.

Honeybee - Yay for a great scan. Seems like your bubby couldn't resist flashing those bits at you eh? lol. I'm glad your placenta behaved itself and moved too. Now, can you tell mine to do the same?!

AFM - Busy day shopping, got some great presents for my niece, and had fun with my sister. Apparently she's TTC as of February which is exciting as our kids will be able to play together. Yay! Also she's cutting her hours at work next year to spend more Aunty time, and bought me an AWESOME playmat for bubs. Only condition is that it comes back to her when it's her turn. LOL. I hope everyone is well and having a lovely weekend!

Forshelby: Glad you had a nice sister day!

Honeybee, So glad your scan went well. You still really dont know the sex and a little girl looks a lot like a little boy at this stage! I wouldnt be so sure you knew! I still find it hard to figure all the bits out and i have had a lot of scans in my time.

Audax - won't be long now, hun.

Tegam - That sounds like a great name for a repellant type spray. "Inlaws getting you down? MIL in your face? Don't despair. One spray of INLAWS BEGONE and your sanity shall be restored!"

Melster- Woohoo for a great scan!!! Thats excellent! It made me so sad hearing about the girl before u gosh being a sonographer wld be tough in times like that, but there wld also be a lot of happy ppl so i guess it wld balance it out. Will u be getting the nuchal trans. scan done or just one at 10 weeks then 20 weeks?

Tegam- When are ur lovely inlaws leaving? Hopefully it was today!

Honeybee- Im so happy that ur baby is perfect! I dont reckon u shld take much notice about the bits that u saw.. like tegam said bits can all look the same sometimes! Imagine the huge surprise u are going to get if its a girl!!! I hope u are feeling a bit more relaxed now. Are u feeling baby move again?

Forshelby- That cracked me up reading that ur dp is worried the cat is going to pee on ur baby!!! Hahaha funny funny. Oh and ur chewed up knickers.. thats hilarious too!! Dirty little dog!! I have a really gross story but not sure if its pushing it in here!! Hmmmm ill try and say it nicely.. After love making sessions we use a little towel to clean up majority of the mess and i normally just chuck it on the floor to take to the washing in the morning, well i USED TO normally just chuck it on the floor.. i cant now cos our dirty little silky terrier has decided she has a taste for mummy and daddy! EWWWWW!! Im grossed out just telling this story! Sorry girls haha.
Great that u had a lovely shopping day, i went with my sister on friday, it was awful! Ppl everywhere!!! I cant stand ppl!!!!

    Audax- Still here???

Ferrals- What is ur specialist appointment for?

Hi to all u other lovely ladies too!

AFM- Headache is gone!! Yay!! I woke up this morning feeling great! Well my phlegmy cough is back to being really bad again but i can handle that, i cldnt handle the headache. I have found out its all part of this nasty bug i have.. my BIL was going to go and get tested for dengue fever tomoro until i spoke to my SIL and we realised that him and I both have the same symptoms and so do a couple other ppl they know. I made up a big batch of vege soup tonight, time to get healthy!
Ob. appointment tomoro! Yay!! Cant wait to see baby again!
I still get stupid little negative thoughts in my head tho.. baby cld be moving around all day but then if i lay down at night and dont feel it for half an hour i get scared and have to use the doppler, the baby must hate it cos straight away it kicks at it, i just get so angry and frustrated with myself that i can think so negatively so easily! I even start thinking sometimes what happens if i go to scan and baby actually died weeks ago and the movements ive been feeling are something else.. and the hb i am listening to is mine or something (even tho its up close to 160bpm all the time) Ggrrrrr im stupid!!

Anyway enough ramblings! Hope everyone had a good weekend!!! xxx

    Ok thanks......BIATCH

Hey on another note...look how far along my ticker elephant is, amazing a few months ago id look at someones ticker and think wow 35weeks shes having her baby soon - and guess what - thats ME! How wierd is that!

I have had a lot of curry today, and been for a long walk with DH, and eaten pineapple, and done pretty much everything on the "come on baby!" list. It has dropped a bit...

Reet - OMG I think the word you were looking for was 'splooge towel' hahahahaha...... I'm PMSL right now Vege soup sounds sooo good, much more appetizing than your little towel... LOL. Good luck at the OB tomorrow and I've said it once, I'll say it again. The odds are in your favour! It won't be long before your bub is kicking you all day and night, and there won't be any time for negative thoughts as you'll be too busy telling your little bundle to stop wriggling. All will be fine. If it helps you can chant 'calm blue ocean' repeatedly like Miss Hoover on The Simpsons... might give you a chuckle at least!

Tegam - I have the same thoughts about my own ticker sometimes. Can't believe how far we've come! I got excited today because we're down to 99 days to go. Wooohooo!! I hope the rest of your inlaw onslaught is as painless as possible.

AFM - Bubby has been kicking allllll day long Big hard kicks too, and DP got to feel some of them, yay! He was surprised how much stronger they've gotten. I think he/she has turned head down now because all the action is up the top end and it feels like little feet to me. Anyway, I have to get off the computer now, I have 'mouse hand' from an epic spree of old school gaming mischief. LOL. I downloaded 'sim tower' and 'theme hospital' and er, had a bit too much fun with it. Also my shoulder is killing me from sleeping strangely, 2nd day in a row. boohoo for me. To make matters worse I have a headache brewing. *sigh* Let's go over the checklist. Mouse hand. Check. Sore shoulder, check. Headache, check. Oh, and the dog has been up-chucking today too. Poor little man. I'm very proud of him though for letting me know he wants to go outside rather than just ralphing on the carpet like the cat does. If he doesn't get better in the next day or 2 it's off to the vet we go. Yeah, I can afford that, on top of xmas.... and a trip to Brisbane for the scan..... and the rego due.... and... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHH!!!

Time to run screaming into the night. Again. Take care girlies!
