Forshelby~ i love Ebay it is very addictive when it comes to looking for things
AFM: Chistamas here was okay. But i made a mistake my bf wanted me to go with him to drop kids off which is a fourhour drive oneway. And we were due for a blizzard but i went anyway. we left at 4pm and did not get back until 2 am stopped a couple of times my feet hurt did not think anything of it so i when we got hom and i took off my shoes and socks my feet were hudge so were the lower part of my legs my hands were alittle too. i slept with my feet up. I called the ob office today they said no more trips like that and to keep my feet up as much as possible drink lots of water and also if i start to see spots or having a bad headache to call them. I am so scared that its the begins of preclampisa. I am diebectic and at a high risk for it i am 34 weeks ( still cant believe it) But i am scared out of my mind with all the other healh issues i have.
-
I had my scan what we thought was 7 weeks but was really five weeks and then at 7 weeks as a follow up scan and then the 12 week scan. Oh and my OB did a little one on his machine about 9 weeks. Wow that sounds like alot it was pretty cool to see him as a yolk sac at 5 weeks (not at the time though as was terrified he was so behind dates) and now a little baby. Im hanging out for another 10 weeks so i can see him again at the 32 week scan my OB wants.
No rest here had my DD up at least four times o/night and gotta work this arvo i could go and sleep for a week i reckon
Oh noooooo i put baby boy clothes into Ebay and so much cute stuff came up can i resist the tempataion :D
-
Kellie - Eeep I know... lol. I hope your cold goes away really soon, yuck! Are you having a scan at 32 weeks because of a low lying placenta like me?
M2R - My first scan was at 7 weeks, they called it a dating scan even though I was sure of dates, it was mostly to check we had a hb and all was ok. Next one was at 12wks, then 20wks, then had another at 26wks to check on my low placenta (and bubby's clubfoot)which has thankfully started to move up. I imagine I'll have another one at 32 weeks to make sure it's well and truly out of the way and to see if baby is still breech. I think he/she has moved though because I think I feel feet in my ribs.
Sunshine - I find ebay can be a bit of a rip-off sometimes, most of the time you can get brand new stuff for the same price, it's just a matter of shopping around. Though I did pick up some great bargains on some stretchy dresses to accomodate my big belly. I'm talking $8 or so. Niiice.
Mildez - Enjoy the shopping trip and of course drive safely. :)
Iona - Wow you have been a busy girl. I can't believe how far we've come either..... remember the old days in the TTC thread? hehe. It won't be long now until we're holding our little bundles. Time flies by way too fast! DP has already started talking about a sibling for this little one (yay, he was adamant we'd only have one) but said he thought a gap of 18mths would be nice. :o My poor body! LOL... I hope you had a lovely xmas and have a very happy new year in store for you. Have you got all your baby gear sorted out?
Angelfish - Long drives seem to do the same thing to my poor feet. Actually, they just balloon up as soon as I get out of bed pretty much. My dr isn't too worried about it, swelling on its own isn't anything to panic over unless you have the other symptoms too as far as I know. I find drinking a lot of water helps, as well as keeping my feet up where possible. Of course, if you can't (like in the car) try not to wear closed in shoes, or any at all if possible. I only wear flip-flops these days as I can't bear to cram my feet into my pre-preg shoes. Mostly it's a lost cause... lol. Also, at 34 weeks bubs would more than likely be absolutely fine even if you were to deliver now. So try not to panic. As much as we all want to carry to term, you're definitely at the stage where things will be ok if he/she comes early. Try to relax and of course, put your feet up :) cause the odds are in your favour.
AFM - Having another relaxing (boring) day at home....... I want to do something but don't know what, and I have this annoying craving for popcorn. Ok, so the choice seems obvious but could I be bothered going to a movie? Mehhhh.... :)
-
Thanks Kellie and OMG has it really been that long already? Last I was on you had only just gotten your BFP and now you are 22weeks lol time really does fly :D
-
I know its gone so fast it will for you too. Those first 12 weeks dragged since then superfast.
Its so good to see everyone in here from that time. You must be over the moon with your bfp
My placenta is all good. I have high bp and had GD with ella so ob wants to check growth at 32 week
FX no diabetes this time was crummy being preg and not allowed sugar!!!!!
Im soooooooooo bored at work im falling asleep zzzzzzzzzz
-
Ok, going to try some persies (have been meaning to do it for days but every night when DD is asleep and I mean to do it i have fallen asleep on lounge room floor!) THanks so much everyone for the welcome!
Reet: So sorry to hear about your puppy girl. Hope you are feeling a little better each day.
Dory: So lovely to see the beautiful picture of Hannah in your ticker. I have been following your journey for a while. I'm going ok with injections. I have a gene for thrombophilia (only one not two copies but because of my history of bleeding in pg my OB thought i seemed to be 'expressing' this gene and that clexane was worth a try). I don't have a blog though: maybe that is 'Possums' (not me, possum magic?).
Tegan: I've been following this thread a bit since i left it. Can't believe you are nearly full term!
Mildez: yes, we met after losses at about the same time. Great to see you are over halfway through your pg.
Ferrals: Sorry to see things have been so tough for you lately. Glad that you had a little 'cheer' with buying the car seat.
Forshelby: Yay on your car seat too! You sound very organised! My DH knew I was going to POAS so i didn't have to try and keep my news to myself for more than...8 minutes! But that's it. Apart from you ladies (and my Dr) no one knows. I don't want to tell until i know there is something to tell. Not even immediate family until I know there's a HB (FX).
Melster: what a relief for you that your scan went well. Hope the next two weeks till the next one flies past.
Stoked: Hurrah for a good scan and measuring spot on!
Kellbell: glad your little man is tap dancing! Sympathise with you on the cold. I got one from my DD. She only had a little bit of a runny nose and I was dripping and coughing for 10 days! No fair!
Angelfish: Getting so close now. I remember you from early on in your journey. Nice to join you again.
Damprye: Another escapee from TTC thread. Yay!
AFM: I've done one week of clexane injections. That's one down, 31.5 to go. Yay! Time is dragging of course: I'm hanging out for my OB visit next week when I get to see if there is a HB. Scared of not seeing one. It doesn't help that my symptoms have been pretty mild. I had lots of cramping for about 2 weeks but it's milder and less frequent now. Pretty tired and the odd bb twinge but that's about it. I know it has nothing to do with how viable baby is but it feels better when you feel more pg i think.
-
possum magic~ I remmber you to i am so happy to see you here. Good luck with everything ever since i saw you in here i have been praying for you!
Forshelby~ i know 34 weeks is so close. But the closer i get the more my bf complains more and more about what i need to do around the apartment becouse how am i am gong to do it once the baby is born. And when his kids are here i am the one that needs to clean up after them cook etc. but that is the last trip that i am making up there again its to much and forget taking a newborn with me.
And i am thinking of the rest of you and thankyou all for being so honest and helpful though this journey that i never thought that i would come true
-
went to dr today and the frist time the nurse took my bp it was 190 over 95 then 180 over 90 then 110 over 90 so i am on bed rest waiting for my blood work to come back i got told it might be back by thursday and just to go home and be on bedrest until tuesday. But i made an nurse appointment for thursday
-
Good luck angelfish. I hope there is nothing too much to worry about.
-
M2R-i have had a total of 10 scans so far most of them pretty early as we had a lot to check for our gentic fault in this bub and then for the cvs and amnio and my placenta previa i had one at 7 weeks one at 10 weeks 4 in one day at 11.5 weeks one at 15 weeks one at 17 weeks and one at 19 weeks 5 days and the last one at 24 weeks to look at the position of the placenta and i will have another at 32 weeks and 36 weeks again for the placenta and in all these scans little miss has been hideing so we couldnt get a good 3D shot of her face yet so i am hoping the next scan we will be able to get a good one.
Possum magic-i have never had any pregnancy symptoms only cramping for the 1st 8 weeks so you dont have to feel dreadful and have sore boobs for a healthy bub you will be fine i look forward to hearing about when you see a heartbeat.
Angelfish-it is getting up there i had a look at what my BP was when i was admitted to hospital to be induced with my 1st son it was 200/150 they wrote pre eclampsia on my records my other pregnancies it has been low to normal 120/70.
AFM-just working i am so tired and my feet and legs are sore all the time i have put on 4 kgs now i have hit 69kgs OMG! i only got to 70kg with my 3 boys i am aiming for another 3 and that is enough my body wont cope i am usually 63kgs before IVF and pregnancy and really feeling it now.
-
Kellie - Good to hear your placenta is in a good spot. I hope you don't wind up having GD again.... that would suck. I had my BT's done a week ago but can't get in to see my doctor until next Monday... that is if they're open (CRAP!) for my results.
Possum - 8 minutes, hehehe. I didn't tell my DP I was going to POAS, I just sneakily did one because of a dream I had where I conveniently woke up before I got the result. When it turned + I stood in the bathroom for a minute in shock, then put it in my dressing gown pocket to spring on him when he got up for work. As soon as he was up I thrust the stick in his face and said 'DO YOU SEE A LINE?' He said 'I see TWO lines. You're pregnant!' I still have all my pee sticks lined up in a row to admire lol. Good luck for next week, I have my FX the injections have made a difference and this little one sticks for you.
Angelfish - Geez, that's a bit rough. Ask him if he'd find it easy to keep the house immaculate with a bowling ball strapped to his front. Or maybe you could answer that you'll find it MUCH easier to run the household once the baby is born because he is going to help you. I would sit down and discuss with him exactly what you need from him once the baby arrives........ that would be SUPPORT, a helping hand with the housework, perhaps cooking the odd meal here and there you know all that good stuff. It's not fair that he should be complaining that you aren't doing enough. He should be jumping right in and doing what needs to be done so that you can rest before the baby comes. Oh and I just read your second post! You poor thing. Hopefully you can at least get some rest on doctor's orders. It might just be what you need to get your DP off your back.
Ferrals - Ohh tell me about it.... I'm definitely over 80kg now and my feet and legs are always sore. My knees are feeling it now, too.... and my back. Pretty much everywhere is getting achey and sore. The funny thing is I don't LOOK that big... it's just mostly tummy and (I'll admit it) a bit of booty. With a bump this big though my butt looks nice and small LOL. You're doing really well, it's so great to see your ticker flying along. :)
AFM - So I have stretchmarks on my hips. There are several reasons I'm happy about this. I already had some there from the er, rapid growth of adolesence, so it's no big deal to add a couple more. Also, my tummy still looks nice and mark free, (for now) which is great! I forget the other reason..... lol, pg brain. I can't believe this year is over in a few days, and we can all say our babies will be born THIS YEAR very soon. :o where did the time go? I'm surprised how fast that third trimester exhaustion has kicked in, I could sleep all day long, I think. I got up at 7, took DP to work, came back, stuffed my face full of breakfast..... lol, then tucked myself back into bed with our puppy. I didn't wake up again until 11.30, and I'm tired again! What the?! I've also been nesting like crazy, suddenly my kitchen has gone from always having SOMETHING on the bench... i.e a plate with crumbs on it, some cutlery in the sink etc, to absolutely immaculate. No kidding, it's so clean it scares me. I even put some little ornaments on the 'bar' part of the benchtop for effect. Yesterday's mission was the ensuite, which is now almost as clean as the kitchen. I have this overwhelming urge to take everything out of shelves/cupboards and organize them. So conflicted....... I'm exhausted but just busting to clean like a crazy woman at the same time. :) Is anyone else going as crazy as I am?
-
I've been away at the In-Laws place by the beach since Christmas Eve and haven't had phone reception or internet access, got back late yesterday morning, but have been crazy buisy tying to sort out centrelink issues (I forgot to ring up last friday d'oh!) and I didn't get a payment yesterday so had to sort it all out today, so hopefully (fingers X'ed) it will be in my account this friday so I can buy some food... because we are running out of milk and andh ave no fruit left and DS has decided to develop a humungous appetite once again (I can just see another growth spurt on it's way again) and is eating everything under the sun.
Other news, still getting Braxton Hicks most of the day every day, saw the OB again today (I really like him, hubby does too, which is good) and as of this morning my BP was 120/80, Little Miss Dragonfly was doing fine, fundal height was measuring at 32wks - so only 5 weeks ahead now instead of the 6wks ahead that it was back when I was 22wks - and we are still on semi-permanent couch rest because of the braxton Hicks and I get to have another scan at 36wks to see how big Little Miss is and to check amniotic fluid levels... Dr Danso also had a chance to look at my records from DS and has deduced that DS may have become posterior while I was pushing (we thought we'd managed to turn him round the right way and face backwards before I got fully dilated) and that might explain why I had to have a c-section with him...
SO, that means...
We have now been given the go-ahead to try for a VBAC!!! YAY!!! So excited, but also a bit apprehensive as I was planning on having an active labour this time around (I had an epidural with DS and was on my back unable to move or feel my legs and stuck to monitors for the entire time I was in active labour) and i've now been told that I will be allowed to go into labour naturally as long as I don't go past 41.5-42wks because they don't want to put extra straight on my scar and want to avoid as much intervention as possible, but I will have to be monitored continuously as soon as I turn up at the hospital to make sure that Little Miss doesn't start to get stressed or anything... so no long hot showers or time in the gorgeous bath I saw in the birthing suite the other week :( Oh well, maybe I could get away with staying in the bath at home and *losing* track of time and end up having the homebirth I've found myself dreaming of once a week hehehe
So anyway, have the GTT test tomorrow morning at 8:30am, I'm going to really hate not having my morning coffee and plum jam on toast, but I'm sure I will survive, and then I get to do a tour of the maternity ward at 3pm on the 5th :) Which should be fun and then I see Dr Danso again on the 19th at 30wks...
Sorry for no persies, haven't got much time spare right now so just doing quick update posts.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you'll all have a wonderful new year!
-
Hi girls!
wow ive missed a lot!!
PossumMagic - again, im so excited that you have made it here! I get a smile everytime i see your name!
M2M - I had my 1st scan at 6wks but also at 7, 8 , 9, 10 & 12wks! I had a few scares and my ob wanted to check everything was ok, i was also pretty paranoid so ob was more than happy for me to have quick checks!

Dory - oh bless little Hannah! She is so beautiful!! Cant believe 3mths already!
Tegam - how are you going??! Im hanging for this BA! Im eagerly checking your posts daily!!! Whats the latest?

Forshelby - i hear ya on the 2011 - im so excited to say 'my baby will be born this yr!' Wooooo!!!
angelfish - you look after yourself and take it easy you poor thing!! :(
AFM - DH and I bought an awesome car seat for our Christmas present to each other! There was nothing we needed so we went out and shouted bubby to the safest and most gorgeous car seat we could find! Its so so beautiful! BUT it doesnt fit in my bloody car in the newborn position unless the passenger seat in front of it is right forward!! Sooo annoying!! My car is only 12mths old so we dont wanna sell it! Ah well - guess im driving DH stationwagon for a while! He will have to drive my Mazda 3! hehehhehe! He will look so pretty in it! hehehhehe!
We also bought a beautiful rocking/glider chair and ottoman for the nursery! Matches our bassinet and cot a treat! We were at Toys R Us and it was the floor model - it was worth $650 but it was a little worn in certain spots so DH asked the manager and we got it for $199!!! Couldnt believe it!! Ive washed all the covers and now its as good as new!!!
Anyway enough rambling! Cant help but tell im a little excited atm!!
PS we have an appt with my ob in 6 sleeps! Yay! We will get to have a little scan! Cant wait!! And our Morph scan is booked for 24 Jan - i will be 19wk6days! Sooooo exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :leap::wiggle: oh and Im starting to feel my little one wriggle around! Only the tiniest flutters but still exciting!!
Love to you all! xx

hey ladies...
hope u all had a good christmas and have a happy newyear.....
sorry i have been mia......i have been reading but have found it difficult to post for some reason...probably because lately it hasnt been positive news and thoughts......
I think maybe i could be a bit depressed...or somethings going on and its the hormones....i just havent been connected to this baby like i was with dd....im not as happy. Not as focused..dont touch my belly as much etc and its really upsetting me. Im also fighting with hubby and stayed at mums for four days.....but it is him and not only hormones..........then fighting with mum all the time...there saying its me....im saying its them......its just everythings upsetting me and frustrating me..i have no patiences....i just dont feel happy....im hoping its the hormones and the stress of the last 8mths and that maybe it will ease in a few weeks........has anyone else had this happen after a mc and pregnancy........i did get post natal for a few mths with my daughter but came good........i am hoping i dont have the one u get through pregnancy.....hopefully its just my hormones outa wack.....
Ill try and do some persies later
-
Melster, I am so sorry to hear what you arre going through but I do understand. I connected with my first pregnancy more than anyothers and that ending in mc at 11w5d. i don't feel any connecftion to this one yet but amm hoping it will come and also that my mood swings get better. I had a huge fight with my DP last night. Prenatal Depression is a real thing as well so it is something you may want to talk to you doc about if it doesn't improve. I am already trying to organise cousiling sessions for myself as I can feel myself getting worse .

Hi all... just sneaking in to very excitedly announce the birth of little Molly...on 29.12.2010 at 10.09 pm at hospital. Mum - Tegam and bubs are home and have already enjoyed a glass of champers. 6 pound 9 ounces length 49.5 cm.
CONGRATULATIONS MY BLOSSOM - can't wait to hear more about precious Molly's arrival into the world and how her big brother and sisters are faring with the new arrival. Hugs to DH too.
Welcome precious MOLLY.
Dampyre - congrats on your BFP sweetie..... looking forward to sharing some of the journey with you.
More from me later..... once I have caught up. Busy here, Hannah got a cold for her first christmas! DH and I both seem to have caught something now.
-
Jenna - Hooray for getting the green light for a VBAC, and for having a great OB, and for well, everything! Good luck with your GTT.
T-Hopes - That's a pretty good bargain for one of those fancy chairs. I would LOVE one of those but sadly our lounge needs replacing first. It's just not going to hold up much longer and I can't justify buying myself a chair when we need a whole new suite. *sigh* I probably won't get either though until I'm sitting on the floor cursing this couch. LOL. Good luck for your OB appointment, can't wait to hear about your morph scan.
Ferrals - Hehehe, I wish I had that kind of discipline always. Sucks that you can't set up your beautiful baby stuff, but I guess it's not the end of the world. By the way, I think I need to slap you in a jealous rage because you're still a size 10. LOL.... :)
Melster - The only advice I have for you is this. Would you rather be 'right' or would you rather be happy? Its normal to feel all over the place especially during the first tri.... your hormones haven't stabilised yet and it doesn't help that you're fighting with everyone around you. Just try to take a step back and remember to turn TO your husband, not away when you feel like you might be depressed. And as Damprye mentioned, perhaps talking to your doctor or a counsellor could help? Sending you strength. :)
Dory - Aww I hope everyone's feeling better soon!
Tegam - HOORAY!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS HUN!!!! Molly is a beautiful name. Can't wait to read your birth story, if you care to share it. :)
AFM - I feel so flat and tired lately..... and SOOOOO unsexy. What is up with that?! I can't be bothered straightening my hair, or even getting it cut.... (it's now down to my waist thanks to pg hormones...) My feet are fat and I can't fit them in any cute shoes......... just ugly thongs. All my clothes just feel wrong and I want SOMETHING but I have no idea what. Damn random mystery cravings! Don't get me wrong, I love being pg, but wow..... things are sure multiplying. My back aches all the time, I had trouble getting up out of bed last night to pee, and even then I was all hunched over just to keep it from hurting while I waddled to the toilet. Funnily enough though, just when I'm starting to get all down on the whole pg thing, bubby starts kicking and squirming and I feel better. I remember why I started this whole thing, and what the end result will be. I do wish I didn't have to be so fat during summer though. It's bloody hot here today, I'm tempted to retreat into the bedroom and crank up the air-con for some quality hibernation time until sunset.
