Well I never thought that I would actually make it into this thread but here I am :D
It is so good to see so many familiar names in her to so congratulations for all th BFPs I missed while I have been without net :D
I know that I am only early into this pregnancy but I think that this one might actually stick and cannot help but feel excited. i have another blood test coming up Wednesday to make sure my levels are climbing normally and I go for my dating scan on the 6th of January. What a wonderfull start to the new year and the most perfect christmas present I could ask for :D I so cannot stop grinning lol
damprye - yes for sure the perfect xmas gift (next best thing would have been me getting to birth my baby )! Enjoy this pregnancy and remember we are all here for your ups and downs. Its so hard some days to have the faith we need in our own bodies!
:leap: Congratulations again! :leap:
damprye welcome and massive CONGRATULATIONS. I'm so pleased for you woohoo.
Tegam how is everything going? So close now. Any day/hour.
Of to work now for me. Going to have to reduce my hours as I have this ridiculous vein happening in a very uncomfortable spot. Never thought I'd have to worry about a varicose vein in the labia. Its giving me some grief.
Oh dear and so early mildez...my mum had them and a GF... Sounds horrid!
Hopefully and day/minute. Having a heap of false starts but i guess sometime it will have to be real??? hehe!
Damprye - Congratulations! And welcome :) I was just thinking of you the other day actually, wondering how things were with you. Good luck for your BT's.
Mildez - Omg.... you poor thing. I thought swollen feet were bad, but wow that must be uncomfortable!
AFM - DP's 2 hour trip to his brother's place today has turned into 10 hours so far. SO bored stuck here without the car........ I hate when he does this. "I won't be long" Then I sit here all day alone. Yeah, great Christmas break. Pfffft! I wonder wth he's doing taking this long. Surely he's thought of me sitting here waiting for him to get back? He said he'd go and get the gurneying (sp?) done and then we could have the rest of the day doing whatever I like. BAH HUMBUG!!! lol
Damprye- great to see you here and what a fantastic xmass present its about time some of the girls we left in the ttc thread are joining us.
:( forshelby :(
27weeks Ferrals this week.....gosh thats FANTASTIC
wow you ladies are so far along now :D I still remember the announcements lol doesn't time fly. I have thought about you gals even while I havn't been around, wondering how everyone has been getting along and sending mental sticky vibes ;)
damprye - congrats sweety that is wonderful news, sending you heaps of sticky vibes for your lil one
Hi everyone-- and merry christmas and happy holidays to all!
My DH and I are on vacation for a few days-- woohoo! Services (Xmas Eve) went well and both churches were packed to the gills. I did our service and then went to hubby's church to participate in his 11 pm service. Got home after 1 am and in bed at 2 am. I have no idea how we are going to do this next year with a bambino. Maybe I will just hold him while I preach...LOL.
Anyway, its GREAT to have a few days holiday. My folks are coming in a few days and staying through New Years. Blizzard is due tonight here in Massachusetts, so I don't know if we will have power or not... but if it gets too cold, I am making hubby take me to a hotel :) LOL.
Welcome to our newest posting ladies-- !!!
I had a gestational diabetes test a few days ago and hope and pray that I passed it...but not so sure. We'll see. I hope that I did, 'cause I don't want to have to take the followup test which is 3 hrs long. Ick.
Did I mention how happy I am to be on VACATION???????????!!!!!!! Today is Sunday and my hubby and I tried to go to another church just to be different and WE WERE AN HOUR LATE! LOL. What a hoot. So we left.
OH-- and get this-- OUR CHRISTMAS TREE fell DOWN AGAIN. We ended up getting a new tree 'cause that one had BAD KARMA. At 3 am, about a week ago, it fell again. I know we should get artificial, but I really wanted a real tree this year. As soon as the artificial ones go on sale, we are going to get one--
And I replaced the phone that I smashed in my RANT. So all is well, for now!
Forshelby-did DH finally show his face yet? and what was his excuse for leaving his preggy wife alone for so long?
Tegam-I know i cant believe i am 27 weeks on wed i sometimes still feel it is not real and all just in my head until she gives me a thump i dont know if i just have this wall up to protect myself from being hurt again i am getting ready for her arrival but still feel like its not real so i just do what i have to and get on with my day i dont really bask in the glory of being pregnant like i did with the others its like i dont want to get all sooky la la over my belly its just there.
Its a shame really as its my last bub and i cant completely relax and enjoy it i still have what happened with Abbi hanging over me and it has taken away some of the joy and excitement of this pregnancy i think i just worry to much.
Anyway i see you are still hanging in there it wont be long now how are you feeling?
Sunshine&stars-i just pictured a pregnant lady wrestling with a rogue xmass tree so funny my tree stays put unless my puddy cats play with the tinsel little buggers.
How is everyone else traveling?
AFM-one week to go until 28 weeks then bub has a good chance if born early i have had no bleeding from this placenta and to be honest i havent cut back on work or doing stuff around the house just yet although i wont lift anything heavy.
I have my GT test next friday then have to wait until 32 weeks for an u/s to see what this placenta is doing so they can decide on a date for c section.
I have 6 weeks of work left then i am off until the 18th of july.
And all the crap with DH court case i am trying not to worry about for now we are going to try legal aid again and i am going to try to cash in all my annual leave to help us to move in feb or last resort will be going to my dad for help if DH cant sell his motor bike.
Iona - How have you been?
Tegam - Just like a normal weekday for me, really... it sure gets boring being a SAHM when your baby hasn't arrived yet, lol.
Sunshine - Yay for being on holidays!!! I've never had a real christmas tree, it would probably drive me crazy dropping bits and pieces on the carpet etc..... plus I don't know where to get one around here. It'd probably shrivel up and die in 2 days flat in this heat lol. Hope you had a lovely xmas. :)
Ferrals - Yeah, he got home about 4.30 and was apologetic about taking so long, but it was a pretty big job apparently...... (big buildup of slime on his brother's cement area which is HUGE) so what can ya do. He said he had his phone in his pocket all day waiting for me to call (he has no credit) but I figured there's no point calling as it wouldn't make him come home any faster. I was a bit bummed out about it but there's no point getting all cranky about it, really. I think today we're making up for it by doing some more baby shopping. yay! It sounds like you've got a good solid plan there to deal with all the stresses in your life right now, so yay for that. I hope it all works out nicely for you hun  Oh and good luck for your GT.
Merry Xmas girls!!! hope you all had a lovely days with your families
Yah Dampyre to see you in here big congrats on your BFP :happyforyou:
yah forshelby on 29 weeks not long left for you! look at that ticker go :D
Yah for 27 weeks ferrals thats great - when does the 3rd trimester start is it 27 or 28 weeks?
Sunshine and stars you had me laughing too with your xmas tree antics
Tegam cant wait to read your BA your soooooo close!!!!
My DD has given me a cold yuk feeling miserable not much i can even take except panadol think ill go crawl into bed :cold:
YAY Melster for your scan :) Now you can relax a little more.....
ferrals- APRA is a pain, DH was with them, and we had to wait six months...and apparently you can only do it once in a LIFETIME.... Do you have any old super around, if you don't work maybe they would release that....good luck.....
can't believe how quickly these tickers seem to be going.... :) going for more blood tests tomorrow to check the bub is on track, after my missed miscarriage I'm getting at least one a week until I'm out of the first trimester... And a scan when i want prob after new years :) when did you get your first scan this pregnancy ladies?
Mum2Ramone-- I had my first scan wicked early, 'cause we were in-vitro-- but the first major one was at 6 weeks to check for heartbeat (I also had a missed miscarriage previously at 11 weeks). Anywho-- then I had another at 8 weeks and one right around the time of miscarriage. It was a psychological thing-- I don't think they like to scan so much, but we had a bit of an unusual situation. I hope all goes very well for you!
Kellbell-- I hope you feel better soon. I caught a nasty cold from my hubby just before Christmas and was sick for a few days...still have bits of the cold...but no matter how bad you're feeling, just tell yourself it's a temporary thing. Hang in there and REST!
We are smothered in snow here. Blizzard last night. I felt so sorry for hubby today 'cause he had to do all the shoveling (our driveway) and then he has a funeral for a parishioner today (outside in the SNOW). That's nuts. I mean, isn't the ground frozen??? Oh well, at least he won't be outside too long--- I told him to keep the prayers short, but meaningful. :)
Baby was rocking the bump last night...really. We watched Robin Williams "Live on Broadway" on DVD and it's raunchy, but hysterical. Comedy is good for the soul. Seriously good for the soul.
Ferrals-- I hope things sort out for you soon. Your plan sounds solid...and remember, sometimes some unexpected happiness will surprise you along the way and help you along. I hope that is the case for you! Yeah for the countdown at work...I can't wait to start maternity leave. My church (work) hasn't figured everything out yet (they still need to interview prospective replacements) but they are moving along. I hope to be gone for 12 weeks. They need to get a move on.
Forshelby-- Yeah for the baby shopping! I discovered ebay a few weeks ago and got some kickin' baby clothes. Ebay is dangerous and a bit addictive! LOL! If I "won" the bid on everything that I tried to bid on, I'd be broke now. Bad ebay...bad me!
See ya ladies.
M2R I had a scan at 4.5,5.5 and 6weeks to check for ectopic (I had signs it was and have had an ectopic and a m/c they thought was an ectopic also which resloved itself) I then had a scan at 10weeks for viability due to having had 3 past losses and then a friend at work had a look with our work machine at 12weeks then I had another at 13weeks for the NT scan so way more then was neccessary. If I have another pregnancy I'll have one at 6weeks again to check for ectopic but those 2 early ones weren't neccessary and I actually insisted there was no point as they couldn't see anything but the Dr insisted I had to have one before going home (as I was in hospital at the time) Next pregnancy I think I'll have 2 BTs early to ensure they are rising 48hrs apart then one a week later then thats it. After about 7-8weeks it can be hard to compair them to previous ones as it gets to a stage where they do reduce and cause unneccessary worry.
Well I'm on on a 3days shopping trip with my DD10 and mum. Not looking forward to the 500kms drive but it will be a lovely girls weekend where hopefully I can buy some things for my kids and belly bub is gender specific colours whilst still managing to hide them from Mum and DD.
hey sweety, I'm doing good just been so busy with preparing for xmas, deciding what to do for uni and getting Mark's BSA liscense sorted so that he can go out on his own fully and not have to rely on his old boss
how you going?? can't believe we are coming to the last 10 weeks of our pregnancy journey
