Gosh they grow quick cant believe my Ella is heading towards two i dont know where the time goes feel like just yesterday she was a newborn

Melster - another tww for you but it will be worth it. My scan at 5 weeks was a yolk sac no HB yet but a few weeks later was a little baby so def will be beautiful for you to see that HB in two weeks

Forshelby - how did you go shopping? what did you buy today?
I agree id keep your mums package for a while yet id rather see another baby use it then throw it away. i cant believe your mum dosent want to see her grandchild! must really hurt :-(

afm 17 weeks today yah counting down to our next scan on the 7th dec only 19 sleeps to go and feeling little kicks all the time which i love so much

I am scared that they are going to push me to head up to the city hospital... If they label the baby IUGR then they be wanting a quick CS....

I think ill leave it cook for as long as i can. All of mine have come early so its not long ill have to fight for its just finding the energy for the fight!

Glad Ella had a lovely day! Be proud of what you do get done, dont worry about what you missed!

I hope they let bubs cook a bit longer its not easy to fight the medical system sometimes will be worth it though everyday has got to get bubs bigger and stronger

Tegam with my last pg my OB stopped doing the fundal measurement around 30 weeks. A lot depends on which way bub is lying as to the measurement. He does a scan to check fluid as my body is notorious for slowing down after 33 wks and fluid levels drop off. Hopefully you can hold on for a few weeks more and bub can grow just that little bit more.

Kellie our toddlers are the same age :) Daniel was born March 31 2009. He was my 2nd VBAC. Amy angel Annabelle was my one and only C sec. At 31 weeks she was just perfect. Just not breathing :(

Mel you would be lucky to see a gestation sac that early. The two weeks will hopefully go quickly and you'll be able to see so much more.

For Shelby, I to owould wait until the situation had calmed down and cooled off. Maybe you could write a note saying along the lines of "I know we haven't seen ey to eye and we have had our disagreements but I thank you for the gifts for baby and its nice to see our differences tointrude on the happiness for baby". But then again I don't know the whole story so... try and chill hun.

I can't recall who asked, can't see back that far on quick reply but the cyst will gradually get smaller as the placenta grows. If however I miscarry then apparently it will just burst and quite painfully so. This pg is more and more like the one with the twins everyday so I am so worried I'll see the oB on the 29th and be booked for yet another D&C.
My betas now are 16dpo -414, 19dpo 903 (Prog 67), 21dpo 1365 (prog 53), 30dpo 6066 (prog 623). I had hoped for a higher number for the 30dpo :( Doubling time is still around the 90 hrs. I guess we just continue to wait and see. MY GP signed me over to the OB as we have a heartbeat.

I'd better go crumble some pellets and mash for the baby chickens.

Atm......im so so so nervous about the scan....i was a bit sick this morning when i didnt eat my brekki....and we want chrissie shopping today and put my chrissie tree up..so i am just plodding along

Hasn't even been 9 months since having Harper, but yep, fate has given us a lovely little treasure due for mid July.
Feeling very nervous, and keeping the news incredibly hush-hush right now, no one but BB knows actually!

Welcome back sunny as you can see i am still here but at least now i am pregnant and past the half way mark it will be nice to go through this with another familiar name. There have been a lot of ladies i started off this journey with 18 months ago who have gone on to have their babies and are now getting close to going again or are already pregnant seems so sureal but my little girl is completing our family so i most definately will not be back in the pregnancy thread after little miss arrives.

ferrals, it is a sheer honour to be in this forum with you, i've never not thought of you and your journey. Personally, im glad to share this time with you, its almost like being back in the TTC thread way back when. Like you, my family will be completed too :)

Dory - I don't know which is worse, poo or dead lizard, lol. Good to hear nothing is alive in your pantry, that dream was soo gross. The chinese was excellent, but afterwards I couldn't move for a couple of hours I was so full. :redface:

Kellie - I ended up buying some new clothes for DP, as he hates clothes shopping so much. Nothing for myself this time but that's ok. I don't know if it's that she doesn't want to see her grandchild, or if it's that she really doesn't want to get out of her comfort zone by coming to stay here on the goldcoast to do so. She's very antisocial, not that that's any excuse, but she notoriously won't go anywhere especially if there's people she hasn't met there. She's never met my DP, or my sister's husband (who she's been with for 7 years). It hurt a lot at first but now I realise it's her loss, and I don't need her around bringing me down. This is her 5th grandchild so I guess she's of the opinion that it isn't that special this time, and if it requires her to do something like travel on her own, well.... it just can't be done. Enough about her though, yay for 17 weeks, and yay for your next scan coming up! I love feeling kicks too, so comforting. I can't say I've had the 2nd trimester burst of energy yet at all... and I've only got a few more weeks of it to go LOL.

Angelicdragon - I wish the situation with mum was that clear-cut. It doesn't matter what I say or how I say it, she would rather be right than happy. I'm not going to write any notes or anything as she just disregards what I say anyway. I understand now that the baby will be better off not knowing her, and having to wonder why Grandma isn't ever here or interested in what's going on with us. When she calls, she only talks about what's going on back at home, and at the last minute gives me a couple of seconds to fill her in on a few months worth of info. And most of the time she's not listening, only thinking about what she wants to say next. Long story short, it's not worth the trouble. I don't want my baby to feel like they aren't important, and wonder why their cousins are. It's just better if it's just DP and I, a couple of aunties and uncles, and a whole lot of friends who will become like family. What's important to me is making sure bubby has the best possible 'village' around him/her, not whether or not these people are blood relatives. Turns out blood isn't thicker than water. At least water doesn't leave that bad taste in my mouth :) I think your numbers sound pretty good to me, but I'm no expert. It must be hard not to imagine the worst, since you've been there so many times before, so I'm going to be positive for you instead. :) And how cute.. mashed pellets for baby chickens.

AFM - We went to Ikea yesterday......................................... ... let's never speak of that ordeal again, LOL. I felt like I was stuck in a line of ants, marching god knows where. The area to walk in was so small, people kept getting in my way and I felt like I was going to knock things over trying to dodge around shelves when we tried to take 'shortcuts'. It was stressful and horrible! When we finally got to the kids section, it was disappointing to say the least. Hardly anything for newborns, absolutely nothing in the way of a bassinette or anything marginally useful... it was all just decoration type stuff and toys for bigger kids. And to think we drove almost to Brisbane for that! On the up side, we did find a lovely hanging mesh canopy thing for the cot (don't know how to describe it but ykwim???) and a nightlight in the shape of the moon. That's about all the significant stuff we got there, so pretty depressing. To cheer ourselves up we went to 'Bubs' baby shop on the way home and found a PERFECT bassinette. $150, and on wheels. Bingo! So I know where I'm going next week hehe. I keep going into the nursery now and just looking at things, it's coming together so nicely, and actually looks like a baby's room. DP and I went in there when we got up this morning just to look. :) I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, and not going to Ikea. *shudder*

And its great, i love it! But i also totally love bubs baby shop, too cute and i always wobble over there to have a look!

Must abit i havent got anything for the baby at IKEA, it was all stuff to do up the kids room and it was cheep and amazing stuff. Wont be long before you need a grown up kids room!

23weeks and having the room a bit set up...its all very exciting hey!!

Tegam - LOL, no I will not wash my mouth out.. I had to go on the weekend because those are DP's days off and it's soooo far and soooo boring to do on my own :) I'll remember that tip for next time though! I did like some of the decorations etc there, but it was all a bit 'old' for our bubby. It is exciting having the room all coming together.. we want to have everything set up by about 33wks so we don't have to worry about doing this stuff when I'm huge and waddling. I'm already waddling..... and huge actually lol. Can't imagine how much bigger I'm going to get! I caught sight of myself in a shop window today while we were out and thought 'where is my reflection, that fat lady is blocking my view' HAHAHAHA. Have you got everything you need set up?

Melster-- Did you say that your Christmas tree is up already??? Wow! We celebrate Thanksgving here this Thursday and that's when we'll decorate some for Xmas...but we probably won't get a tree for another 2 weeks or so.

About me-- Well, this was a difficult week 'cause it is the one year anniversary of my miscarriage and it's hard not to freak out... Stupid cold sores haven't fully healed yet, so there is no nookie here either. On a positive note, I get to feel babe every now and then; I don't know what is normal for frequency, but it seems more noticeable when I am resting or just after I eat. We had a big maternity leave meeting at the church where I serve. We'll see what happens. I am hoping to be "off" for 12 weeks-- I have to take some vacation time and such, but that's okay. We put a down payment on a crib and ordered it. Oh, I also registered for childbirth classes in January.

I am looking forward to my next ob-gyn appointment. I hope that we get to see the babe, but probably it will just be a check up. I really wonder how things are going inside the womb. Trying very hard to think lots of positive thoughts.

Tegam - Hehe, so glad you got a laugh out of my silliness. I bet it feels good to be all set up and ready to rock and roll. :)

Sunshine - Ikea had very little in the way of newborn stuff. The cots looked really small (low to the ground) and.... flimsy. I was originally thinking about getting one of them until we picked up our second-hander from a friend. It's 10 times better than the new one we saw there! Also, they had inflatable change mats.. what the?? They were really cheap and nasty too and had this stupid towel like cover to go over it. My first thought was '1 poo explosion and that thing is toast!'. Plus why would you have a plush cover on something where poo and wee is going to be abundant? Craziness. Not sure what Ikea is like over there but I assume it's all the same. It sounds like the movements you're feeling are normal. My bubby is most active when I'm eating, or sitting still. It's a pity you can't get more time off, but I guess your work is never really done, huh? Happy angelversary to your angel baby... the first year is usually the hardest and the saddest. If it helps at all each year it's a little easier, although still something I never forget. :hug:
