Hi dory: I am SO looking forward to some sport and general activity. Feeling so heavy and blah now! Next round of stress is friday afternoon, 33weeks! Ill keep you posted!
I had a really bad night last night Mybf and i had his kids again this weekend time is flying by but we left early to drop them off.I drove most of the three hours one way so that he could sleep so that he could drive most they three hours home.At the last rest stop he wanted to drive so i let him about 15 mins from dropping his girls off we hit a deer a big one.The seat belt locked up causeing allot of pain. I also have a heart problem that makes my heart race so he called the 911 they took my to the hosptial. Heart was raceing and the worst part is that in the ER they could not find a good hb i got told it was low.So they sent me up to L and D they wanted to do a non stress test. The nurse was having a heard time finding her HB but once she did it was great she stared to move which made the test divicult. But we are both home now resting and moving around great. I was crying saying i cant lose this one too. I felt like an idoit after i found out that everything was fine.
Kellbell-My Dr doesnt weigh me but when i rang to book my first appt with the midmives they asked how heavy i was so i have my 1st appt with them on thursday so god i hope they dont weigh me it justs upsets me.
Dory-I dont know how you did the bed rest for so long the doc is talking about me going on restricted duties and maybe bed rest from 28 weeks if this placenta doesnt move sh#t how the weight will pack on then:o
Angelfish-you poor thing i am glad everything turned out ok just rest and take it easy for a few days.
Angelfish oh what a traumatic and stressful evening. When you said it was a deer I looked to see where you live coz we don't have deer running wild here, kangaroos, wombats etc but not deer that I know of. Out here in the country there is the odd cow, horse or sheep on the road. A deer would be quite a hit. I am glad to hear you are ok.
feeling really icky today so I am hopeful it is all good. Need to go find some food and settle this tummy then find some get up and go to do housework... how long can I procrastinate?
Melster - Try not to worry too much about the weight gain, it's for a good cause as my dr tells me all the time. I know you're scared and there's nothing I can really say to help with that..... just take it one day at a time and enjoy every moment you can.
Ferrals - Hehehe, mission accomplished! I was a skinny minnie when I was 18.... I miss those days sometimes :) It's like the older I got the more I learned, and my brain got too full of random stuff so it all migrated to my a**.... LOL. The weightloss thread is a great idea. I'm up for that after bubs arrives :)
Tegam - I know the feeling! I love being pg, but at the same time.... I miss being the sole owner of my body. It scares me that I'm just over halfway and have a lot more weight to put on yet..... I dread to think what my final number will be. I really am looking forward to reclaiming my body and getting back in shape. DP and I were laughing last night when I went to put my hand on my waist and couldn't find it.... my bump is expanding in all directions. :) Well done losing 45kg though that's amazing! You'll do it again no problems, I bet. Good luck with your next 'round of stress' FX you get more good news!
Kellie - Oh you're not so far ahead of me hehe. My gp weighs me, yes. I also cringe when I see the scales.
Dory - It was really lovely feeling bubby kicking in the water, it was a really different sensation. If I find a good quality kiddies pool for a decent price I just might surprise them with it. Either that or invite the kids around for a swim.
Angelfish - :o omg! Don't feel bad about freaking out when they couldn't find the hb... your reaction is totally natural! I'm just glad you're all ok. :hugs:
Angelicdragon - You can procrastinate for days, if you're anything like me. hehe.....
AFM - I have a ton of laundry to fold, then a whole heap more to wash..... and dry and fold... arghhhh I don't feel like it but it's just everywhere! If I'm not careful the cat will make a nest in the clean stuff as usual and get it all fuzzy. :(
Hope you can rest up angelfish..
Forshelby: Oh the wash, dry, fold, wash, dry, fold day. Bar the empty laundry at the end there it really is a very thankless task because if you put it all away no one can see all the hard work you have done!!
AFM: Just had a pie and now doing to have a nanna nap, i know i know ill pay for it when i wake up but im too tired to stay away ;)
Forshelby when you have done your washing can you come do mine? My spare couch is covered in washing. It is getting to be a 2-3 day effort to wash, dry then fold and sort.
How many of you still have weighs and urine checks with yuor ob visits? All I get is a check of b/p then he does a scan to check baby. No weighs, no urine checks unless b/p is high which mine never has been. I get the 3 hr glucise test as I have had GD before so he skips the first test and send me straight in for the long one anytime around 20 wks.
Tegam I hope the pie was good t oyou and din't you any heartburn or indigestion.
off to bed here.. hopefully
Angelfish...how you going now? I hope you're ok!!!!
Angelic..how you feeling now?
Forshelby...thanks
Tegam...hope you enjoyed that pie LOL
atm...went and saw a physic while i was away and she said my DD will meet her soul mate at 24 and he will be rich...and im having a boy!!!!! My husband will love that because he has got one boy but the rest girls....im back at work now...i went to bed at 7 last night..i was so tired and i didnt even un pack the bags...feeling a bit woozy in the stomach today.....im still really scared and keep thinking that something is wrong with this baby...and that it doesnt feel the same.....i know everything is probably stretched...so hopefully its just that....so i am glad i have my appointment Friday...
Tegam - Oh, DP will notice because he'll have clothes to wear. LOL.
Angelicdragon - I get weighed, my bp taken, and because it's always a bit high I get to pee in a cup too. So dignified, lol. And we always listen to the hb too which is nice.
Melster - Try to remember all pgs can be very different, and still turn out the same- with a healthy baby! All you can do is try to enjoy as much as you can. I hope you had a lovely trip. :)
AFM - About to go out and do a bit of shopping.... My wardrobe situation is still fairly desperate, and I wanted to pop out and get DP a 'just because' present. I just hope my feet don't blow up like balloons the instant I stand up. It makes getting ANYTHING done really slow going. I hope it's nothing to be concerned about, but I'll definitely mention it at my next drs visit. As for bubby, he/she has been kicking up a storm lately! :)
I'm a lard-arse too... my number currently stands at 14kg, but there could be more. I don't get weighed at appointments, but I do weigh myself, because I do tend to stack it on really easily and like to keep an eye on it. Before we started ttc I dropped 20-odd kilos and I really want them to stay off. It sucks seeing the scales creep closer and closer to that highest ever weight!
I have beached myself today. My ambitions for the day are to cook dinner. That's it. Maybe make the bed. I need an epic rest day today.
shelby - what size are you? I might have some maternity wear to sling your way in a few weeks...
Okay, ladies, I can't resist chiming in...I just got caught up again on the posts-- AFTER having a huge banana split sundae at the local ice cream shop! I am probably HUGE compared to you all-- but I need to convert the pounds to kilos or whatever measurement most of the world uses! Anyway, I can just guess that I weigh super more than you all--
and even though I am sort of watching my weight, (I don't have a ice cream sundae every night LOL!), I try not to worry.
Angelfish-- I am glad to know that you are okay. We have a lot of deer here. They really are a hazard...
Peace to all!
Audax...i can make you feel better...and you're stage with my dd...i had put on 30kilo or more!!!!!!!! i was hitting the 90's... think i started of at 68 kilo and stopped counting coz i was too scared, i think i remember some clothes being size 18...after two years i got all the weight off and was getting pretty small again and then got pregnant...(although im so grateful) i had a mc and i think i put on 5kilo and now im pregnant again!!!!!! this time i am going to try my hardest not too put on that much and continue with my gym...
Audax - I've sadly beaten my all-time highest weight by about 5kg... *sigh* I'm a size 12, but some things need to be a 14 at this stage so we'll just say 14! That's very generous of you, thanks :) Only 11 days to go?! Eeeeeeeep!
Sunshine - I dread to think what I would be in pounds.... the number is always bigger LOL, and I hate that! I think the conversion is about 2.2lb to a kg. Or google a converter if you're feeling brave hehe. If you want an ice-cream every day, go for it woman.... I was doing that at one stage. LOL
Melster - At least we all have a great excuse for gaining weight. :) I'm aiming for a maximum of 85kg.. I really don't want to go much over that but obviously baby will decide!
AFM - Had a great time shopping. Got some baby stuff, a couple of bottles, a moo-cow toy, a 'flip phone' toy, some bibs..... Oh and got myself some more larger sized clothes hehe. DP even got lucky cause I picked up some clothes for him, in particular a singlet that says 'in case of emergency, get beer from fridge'. :)
Yeah, I was brave and googled the pound to kilo converter and vice verse-- I am just gonna keep my mouth shut 'cause I am definitely bigger. Actually, the docs say that I am doing well with my weight gain-- but this week, I feel like I am eating more, and the bad stuff :) too!
I don't care what the experts say-- the older you get, the more those hips spread!
Sunshine - Hehehe, don't feel too bad, hun. I said to DP not so long ago that I thought I had wide hips before... I swear I need a wide load sign on my back these days. :)
I am doing okay my regualar ob wanted me to come in yesterday and get another non stress test then go for an ultrasound. She was not to happy when she heard that the hospitial were i had the accident which was three hours away did not keep me longer. So everything turned out fine. I got to see the baby again which put a smile on my face becosue she was doing well she would not keep her hands out of her mouth i thought that it was so cute.
I looked for a converter to change my weight but i went from a size 9 ( i have natural wide hips ) to a size 16 its mostly hips and my butt that will not stop growing.
I about have everything i think for the baby but a couple of small stuff once i see the baby at the 30 week scan and everything checks out good again i am going to get more onsies and stuff like that from what i understand you cant have enough of those. My dr told me i should have my bags packed at 30 weeks i have no idea what to pack i dont want to over pack.
Forshelby....oh defiantly...im just hoping not to gain as much this time because it was hard to get off and a very emotional time for me...what i hated was when i wasnt with my DD and just looked big LOL....30kilo was alot on me...i looked completely different....at this stage i havent been real hungry yet..i think last time i thought that coz i was pregnant i could eat what i wanted without even being hungry......im starting gym again monday
Sunshine..its good you're doing well....and there will be times we eat junk so dont worry....
Angelfish...im glad things are going well and you got to see you're baby!!!!
ATM....when my period was due i was so bloated and hard...but now the pot is still there but i dont feel as big or hard...do you think this is normal????? I had the mc 4 months ago so do you think it changes the way you feel...i havent had the bad stomach growing pains and i dont feel "as heavy" in my uterus as the others....do you think its just coz its stretched....???? Im very tired which is defiantly one of the consistant symptoms.....on and off qeezy but not much..boobs are heavy...headachy comes and goes....dont worry im just being paranoid..:wall:
Just a quick one then i will be back this arvo for persies and a catch up! :)
Melster- Dont stress!!! I NEVER got any of the symptoms that u are meant to get.. the only thing i got was tiredness and off a lot of foods.. my body stayed exactly the same.. no cramping or stretching feelings.. no heaviness.. no needing to go to the toilet all the time.. no vomiting.. etc etc etc! It still worries me that i felt quite normal but as far as i know our baby is perfect!! Ive been saying the whole time if someone were to tell me that this is all a setup and im not really pg i wld believe them! Even this morning i have woken up and my tummy is non-existant! So it still doesnt feel real!!
Cat wait to hear how u go at ur ob appointment xx
