Has anyone had an anterior placenta when previously it's been a posterior one? This is #3 for me and i found out at 11 weeks that the placenta is anterior. I'm just worried about not feeling any movements. I know that having it anterior makes the movements more muffled early on but i was feeling #2 at 14 weeks with strong movement, so surely i should feel at least something because i know exactly what i am looking for? Can't even feel kicks on the side or anything. My uterus is up to my belly button now to so the placenta can't be covering the whole front now can it?
Please try not to worry - but it is hard when you read about people feeling movement very early.

DS - anterior placenta - first bub - defined movement felt at 21 weeks!!!!!
DD - posterior and movement felt around 16 weeks
#3 - anterior again!!! Flutters around 17 weeks and big movements felt not until about 20 weeks - and this is my 3rd!!!

Antheia, my sister had anterior placenta and she didn't feel her first strong movements until around 24 weeks. Try not to worry I am sure you will be feeling them in no time!
All 3 of mine have been anterior and DD1 was 22 weeks DD2 24 weeks...and now im 20 weeks and nothing other then a few now and then at night but nothing worth getting excited about!
hun i have teh same after have a posterior with dd, i felt movement, kicks as could DH from 17 weeks, scared about how long it will be before i feel the 'real thing', i though iw as feeling things around 11 weeks but then the scan said i had an anterior so must have been gas, will keep an eye on this thread as im very curious as well!!
I had an anterior placenta with DS. I felt my first movement at 18 weeks - just like a little tapping and it took a good month or so before it got any stronger than that. I think I probably did find all movements muffled compared with what others seem to experience. I had a scan at my OB at 28 weeks and a growth and development scan at 35 weeks and DS was wriggling like CRAZY during both and I could feel none of it (I don't think I would have had any sleep if I could have felt every movement)...... and he's still wriggling now!!!!
I have an anterior placenta too, and I still haven't felt anything that I can definitely identify as movement.
I'm trying not to worry, especially after hearing so many women with anterior placentas say how late they felt movements. But it is still niggling at the back of my mind.
I had an anterior placenta and I didn't feel any movements till about 22wks... It is quite hard not to stress when you just want reassurance everything is going ok...

My first baby had a posterior placenta, and second one anterior. I honestly didn't notice any difference but I know some women do.
I first felt my second baby move at 10 weeks, and I was feeling him regularly from 14 weeks. My first bub I felt at about 16 weeks but that's usual for a first baby.
I'm kinda grateful for the AP now - now that he's out he's one full on little boy and I'm sure that having the AP shielded me from alot of his abuse while he was in my belly
Another thing about Anterior placenta, does it affect how the baby sits? Like are you mor elikly to have a breech bub or a posterior bub? (even though i had a posterior bub last time, just want to know if there is a higher chance of it happening?)
