    Sharp pains down low

I am 21 weeks, and over the last couple of days have being getting some fairly short lived, sharp pains right at the bottom of my belly, at the front. I have no idea what they are, can anyone make any suggestions? I have not seen my ob since the end of December, as I don't want to see him again and have not made any appointment at any other hospital (and he is the only ob in town). Should I be concerned about these pains? I was terribly sick last night, vomitting, and don't feel much better tonight. I am getting really stressed out about work, and the Fairwork Aust meeting we have on this coming Thursday. It's got to the point I don't want to be at work at all, but I don't think there is anything I can do about that, but I feel like its making me sick. I'm sorry, I'm nattering on, usually I manage fairly articulate compositions, but my head is in a frazzle. Beyond the pains which are making me worry, I don't know what to do anymore to keep it together.

If they are truly painful and/or will not go away ring the hospital. However cramps, stitches, feelings of muscle stress and other little pains are generally normal and signs of the ligaments supporting your uterus stretching to accommodate its growth. They can also be caused by pressure of your changing pelvis and baby lying in a way that pinches a nerve somewhere.

Can you see a physio specializing in women's health (preferably pregnancy) to see if they can help? I saw one (women's health specialist only- they didn't have one specifically for pg women) today as I've been under a sore underbelly and ouchy through the groin area. We're trying some slightly tight (largest size they had in stock) tubigrip and they ordered me a support belt as well. We're also going to try some hydrotherapy starting this week coming.
