Red face Baby brain, another embarrassing one!

    Hi all,
It seems that it's the "hungryhippo" way for me to admit to doing totally embarassing things during my pregnancy, this one is a doozy!

The other day I was talking to someone about the alphabet that army/police use (alpha, bravo, charlie etc) and I said to her that I was learning them as it's better for on the phone at work than something like "C is for Dog, or something like that."
I didn't even hear my mistake right away, until my colleague started laughing.
    OMG, how totally embarassing!
To mess up the alphabet that I have only known since I was like 3 years of age!

This is probably the most embarrassing example of some of the moments I have had this pregnancy, I am sure I am in store for more tho!

"Baby brain" has to be real, or I am in big trouble!
    Anyone else???

I wrote a note to DH this morning to please put the spreadsheet in the washing machine. He was on the phone when he read it and gave me the weirdest look. I meant bedspread!

I keep getting blank when thinking of words, usually people's names. I'm scared I've got dementia or something. I really hope it's just baby.

Oh that's a good one! Yay, not just me.
I guess time will tell if it's baby or "just us"...

lol, and it gets worse with each pregnancy. i'm a real space cadet at the moment and will often sit there and give people this blank look cos ''i know they spoke, they said something to me but I just don't know what they were saying or what it was about... hhhmmm maybe i'll just smile and nod and see if i can get away with it!! why IS she looking at me strangely." lol.

I have taken to warning people "i'm a half wit, please excuse me" lately.

i forget names of inanimate objects and fruit/veges. DH reckons he 'speaks wifey' fluently now!

    Awesome mamapan,
Glad our total "duh-ness" can bring happiness into others lives!
Stay tuned, I know I have more tales, and as far as the others are concerned, if we've done it once, we'll do it again!

Grub17, I think my DH needs to learn to "speak wifey"...

Okay, firstly I swear this is not made up to add another post here!
    This really just happened!!
I just went to the kitchen at work where we have a filter tap that dispenses both boiling and drinking water.
I went thru the whole process of making my arvo milo, including adding milk with cold water!
I didn't even think it was strange that the milo hadn't melted!
Took a sip (yuck!) and then realised my error!

So, there is todays "C is for Dog" mistake!
Can I get thru the rest of the day unscathed??

Ha ha, yes pregnancy brain is real, its a result of a lack of blood flow to your brain, making you a bit spaced out.

The best I've got is putting milk in the pantry and bread in the fridge type stuff.
