    Babymoon packages

Hi - does anyone know where my husband and I can find a 'babymoon package' at a B&B or hotel in either NSW, QLD, ACT or VIC?

We want to specifically stay in a place that offers a 'babymoon package', rather than just have a weekend away somewhere and call it our 'babymoon' (nice as that would be too!)

    Thank you!

I had never heard of a babymoon but my DH and I spend a week in Perth recently which was also for our 1st wedding anniversary but my mum said to me we were going on a babymoon.

I have no idea about particular packages though.

I think I have read an ad somewhere about a resort that was specifically for prepregnancy holidays. But no idea where I saw it.

    Thank you!

Thank you, please keep any suggestions coming!

A babymoon package is a trip for you and your other half to a hotel or B&B when you're pregnant - it's kind of like a funny take on a 'honeymoon', except it's before the birth of your baby!

The hotel puts on a special package for you - eg pregnancy massages, pregnancy gift bag on arrival, there's a pregnancy pillow in the room, special food craving menu, etc etc - it's all just a bit of fun but it''s really taken off overseas and now it's apparenlty just starting up here in hotels in Australia - so we're trying to find them!!

Thanks guys - I'll look up the hippie one on the gold coast too, thanks for that!

Hi Skye, I was interested in finding about this after reading your post so googled it. It seems like there are places that say babymoon but is only really pampering with pregnancy massages. The Palazzo Versace looks very nice though A babymoon is something I would love to do before bubs is due.

Hi Skye, I was sent this email and thought of this thread right away. I will post what I can, but you might need to contact me for further details.

    Babymoons

Just like a honeymoon, the babymoon is all about escaping the day to day, offering a last chance romantic getaway before baby makes three or more. More realistically, for those with tired swollen ankles and a sore back, it's a little quiet time for parents-to-be to enjoy together. Usually booked for the third trimester, Babymoons can also be taken just after baby has been born, but that's a whole different story.

As you would when booking an adventure holiday in Kakadu or a cooking school in Tuscany, you need to find the right place for you and your Babymoon, making sure it offers all those little extras you'll be wanting.

You'll definitely be needing spa treatments that cater for a mum-to-be, such as pre natal massage, Manis and Pedis (when was the last time you could reach your toes?), as well as a pillow menu to help you get comfortable, and a king sized bed you may never want to leave.

Here is your guide to taking an Australian babymoon:
the hotels, resorts and spas that know just how to look after a mummy+daddy-to-be.

    NSW Babymoons

The Observatory Hotel, The Rocks, Sydney
A grand old tradition in the business of escapes, The Observatory Hotel offers pregnancy massage in its luxury spa. Aches, pains and fatigue will be alleviated as your therapist provides you with a specialised side lying pregnancy massage.

The Golden Door Health Retreat - Elysia, Hunter Valley, NSW

Pure relaxation with plenty of healthy options to restore your glow and recharge your energy. You can be as active or as lazy as your body requires. Spa treatments include a specialised pregnancy massage

    VIC Babymoons

    The Lyall, South Yarra, Melbourne

With roomy rooms and two head power showers, perfect for an aching lower back, it also has a spa menu with special pregnancy symbols next to the treatments suitable for pregnant women, including a prenatal massage.

    Grand Hyatt Melbourne, VIC

Located at the top end of Melbourne's glittering Collins St, the Grand Hyatt offers an indulgent Mothers in Waiting spa treatment. Special attention is paid to your poor swollen feet, with the 15 minute fluid-reducing foot treatment, before an hour long luxurious and therapeutic body massage.

    QLD Babymoons

Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa, Noosa, QLD

This is a shopping and snoozing paradise - two activities high on a pregnant woman's to do list. The Sheraton Noosa is the only five star resort in Noosa and is perfectly placed for both pool and beach lovers, with both requiring only a short stroll. Plus, its central location on Hastings street means you can eat and shop to your heart's content. The resort spa is a place of nuturing, offering a pregnancy massage that pays close attention to the comfort and needs of both you and baby.

    Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast, QLD

Soak up the glitz and glamour of the Versace fashion empire when you're not recharing your busy body at the Salus per Aquum Spa, which means Health Through Water, when not written in Latin. Inspired by the traditions of the European spa, it offers treatments for heads through to toes. The Pregnancy Kahuna massage is a signature treatment which encourages deep relaxation through a unique flow and rhythm of the massage strokes, along with a special breathing technique. The best part is that you can have your Kahuna massage in your room and just roll from the massage table to the bed.
HTH you some. You might need to just do a search on the hotels. Sure sounds great though.

Thank you so much for your ideas and input, I think half the fun will be doing the 'research' on the hotels you guys have listed! Thanks again.
