    Hi,

I have learnt that even though the books tell you that you should have an energy surge in the second trimester, every pregnancy is sooo different. I'm 21w tomorrow and I'm still really tired and have a sleep at lunch if I can to get me through the day. My hubbies away so the combination of being pregnant, working full time and having no-one to help out at home is adding to my tiredness levels.

Just continue to get lots of rest and look after yourself.

don't worry - i napped every day over my christmas break and since i've been back at work, i'm still having a nap when i get home from work probably a couple of times a week and at least on one weekend day as well.

i changed my work hours to start & finish earlier so i have more time between getting home & having to cook dinner & also means i miss some traffic as well. i think this has helped quite a lot.

my poor DP is wondering whether i will ever stay up past 10pm again

my theory is just to go with what your body is telling you - sleep if you need to!

Hey Im just 14 weeks today and just this past week Ive started to get really tired again. apart of me is thinking it may be this heat wave we all seem to be going through, but its most likely a combination of both.
but I agree with sloane, sleep when you can and need to! Thats what Im doing

I think really it comes in waves and with the weather being so hot it can take it's toll.
Best advise rest lots and drink lots.
I was really tired around the 14 week mark then again around 18 but I think it also has allot to do with what's going on in your life as well.

I'm asleep by 6:30 in the evening! :-P DH wakes me for dinner/TV which I can hardly manage then I am out like a light again. MS every morning doesn't help however.

    Dokey hangings

It hasn't been a startling burst of energy for me either..

I still want to go to bed at 9:30 and if I've been busy in the morning I still need an afternoon nap!!

But I was REALLY tired throughout the first trimester so I guess this is as good as it gets..dunno how I'm gunna complete night classes at uni throughout the final trimester
