persisitent tight feeling at 22 weeks

Hi I have noticed tonight that my belly feels much tighter than normal. It's like a very weak contraction that doesn't really seam to pause. Has anyone had anything similar?

It sounds like a Braxton Hicks, perfectly normal but a bit scary when it happens for the first time. If you rest they should go away, but if they don't (or if they come with pain) then you should see your care provider

I had a similar feeling about 22 weeks this time around, lasted a few days and then went away as mysteriously as it arived! lol
Was sort of a tight heavy very *there* feeling...
I never had BH at all with Charlotte so had no idea what it was, but was told it was most likely BH and nothing to worry about.

    Thanks all,
I'm starting to think that it has something to do with bub lying across a certain way in my uterus at times and streching it, making it feel more tight. That would explain why the feeling is constant and not like braxton hicks contractions that come and go...who knows...lol will have to double check with my midwife next appointment but at least bub is kicking very strong and seams happy enough in there

I get a similar thing, though for me it is actually BH's (They also have a penchant for pretending to be real labour for me as well lol) combined with a supected irritable uterus... I believe in the last 2 months I've only had 4 times, lasting half an hour to an hour, where my uterus hasn't been tight and uncomfortable. I also get a lot of pain because of it and just have to monitor it and keep a record of when it gets really painful and even more tighter than normal for my midwife.

It's good that bub is still kicking strongly - it might just be the way bub is sitting too, I know I get pain in certain spots that don't normally get pain from BH's when bub stretches out a certain way eg, across the top of my uterus lol

I get the same thing but it's not BH... It's bubs stretching out as much as she can (usually when she's laying sidewards) and it makes my tummy go tight... she started doing it at about 23 weeks I think...
