Setting up a personal website? Help

    Hi everyone,

I use computers all the time, but I can't say that I am overly IT savvy when it comes to setting up a personal website. I have noticed that many of you have great sites that family/friends can visit from all over the world and I would dearly love to create one for myself.

If anyone can give me step by step setup instructions "for dummies" that would be great.

Thanks so much and have a wonderful day, Nicole

    Hi Caro,

Thanks for the reply. I can't get into yours without a password?!? I don't mind paying such a small amount. Thanks, Nicole

They are super easy, with great instructions. There are quite a few that the BB members use - Babies Online I think is the main one though.

    Nicole,

The trick is to look at all the ones you can see from members here on BB, then pick which type you like best. Some are for free (Babies Online, nearly all of the Blog sites)

Then set aside some time to "play".......all of them will require that you register, and then you can do a lot of trial & error.

Honestly, the majority are SO easy to put together........the sites are all template driven, so you don't need to be IT savvy......putting them together is usually a case of chosing themes and back-grounds, and uploading photos.

If you have photos, make sure they are resized to a smaller size, that makes them easier to upload.

Shout out if you want any help?

haha, Caro - i just tried having a squiz at your site and typed in: PW cutie in the password section - it didn't work...!

Then i read your next post and realised the PW was obviously referring to 'password' and the actual password was cutie...!

    Man i am blonde!!

Nicolee41 - hope you manage to get your webpage up and going ok!
