Urgh! I have a painful, tight lower abdomen and vaguely remember this feeling from my last pregnancy. I'm pretty sure it's trapped wind as I feel like I need to fart/go to the toilet () but can't
any suggestions on remedies ?

De-Gas tablets work a treat for me. They are natural, peppermint oil tablets which help to settle your gut and pop the bubbles...which may result in farts and or burpsYou can get them at most supermarkets in the medicine section.
Peppermint tea also helps and, this will sound very random, but if you think it's a fart then you could try laying on all fours and sticking your bum up in the air. It seems to work!![]()
chuck a teaspoon of fennel seeds in some boiling water and drink it! If you have fennel essential oil you can rub a bit on your belly also. The fennel seeds in water is also great for colic if you breastfeed have it every day and it will go through your milk to bub![]()
lay on your back and pull your knees to your chest.
my dh refers to this as "gassin' up"
(ie it puts pressure on your lower area and you fart lol)
Thanks everyonethe gas is slowly leaking out thanks to all the weird positions I've been adopting! It's been a bit gross and smelly but my tummy is starting to feel better. I'll try the "gassin' up' position next

I like a few torso twists, so leaving your hips facing forward but twisting your torso slowly from side to side.
