    Concerned please help

We had our 20 week u/s this week and I have just come back from seeing my ob, he advised that the humurus ? and femur bones are a bit on the small side however they are still within "normal".

He said not to worry as our Downs Screening came back with a great result, however it is in my nature to stress.

Should I be stressing, or does this just mean that we will have a small baby?

    I am 5'7 and hubby 5'8?

Don't stress. If there was a problem they would have said something. I'd say bubs will just be a good little size for you

dont stress. im sure all will be fine. Bub just may be a few centimetres smaller than average. but that said, ur doc did say in the normal range. Please dont worrry about it, stress isnt good for bubs and if there was something more wrong ur OB would have said so.

Did he tell you he wants to check it again around 28-30 weeks? You can always ask for another scan a bit later and see how its growing. I would say you might have a shorty in their.

As the other ladies said I would not be stressing about it I know easier said then done but as the others poined out your ob would have told you if he/she was concerned about it and would have requested further testing at a later stage...enjoy the rest of your pregnancy you will have a life time to stress after the baby is born lol...

Seeing as you and hubby are not overally tall i would be thinking bub is just on the shorter side. If he said not to worry, then you probably don't have anything to worry about. Plus remember, ultrasounds are only an estimate, it isn't a given.

Probably just a short bub. We had the same thing with my son's femur length except it was really quite low apparently. The sonographer said it meant he'd be short. So far he's turned out to be short. We are 5 1 & 5 8.
