Is it safe to jog/run at 26 wks preg???

I have a friend who was very into the gym & exercise pre pregnancy & has continued her vigorous exercising throughout being pregnant. She does body pump about 3-4 times a week, and on the days she doesn't do gym, she walks/runs with the dog for about an hour each time.

I think she fears gaining excess weight during her pregnancy & having to lose it post pregnancy - so if anything, her exercise has been stepped up a notch. I'm really worried about her!

She is naturally a small person (wouldn't weigh more than 50-55kg pre-baby) and her Dr told her she HAS to gain at LEAST 10kg by the end of pregnancy or he will not be happy with her. Her baby bump has only just popped out in the last 2 weeks or so.

She's even made comments like, "I'll have to hide weights in my clothes next time I see my obstetrician"...... AAAAHHHH!!!

I should keep my nose out of her business... but I'm worried thats all!
