fast heart rate

just wondering if its normal to have a faster heart rate than normal when pregnant.

for the last 8 weeks or so, my heart rate seems to be a little faster than normal.. but i don't feel out of breath or anything.. is it just because my heart is working harder than usual?

has anyone else experienced this? when will it go away.. because its quite annoying when i'm trying to sleep.

My dr said it seems to beat faster becuase of the extra blood its supplying... i sometimes think my heart is gunna jump out at me and can feel it pumping and beating everywhere in my body...LOL

My dr said the same thing about extra blood supply and it's nothing to worry about - just annoying, I seem to have days where it is more obvious than others, try reading or thinking about baby names before you go to sleep to take your mind off it

I've noticed my heart 'racing' over the past couple of weeks - normally when i have just gotten into bed. I read that it is normal so it hasn't really phased me. All the best, Kayla

Yep is definitely normal! i feel it too.. especially when i'm resting or getting into bed!
