Unhappy Bleeding at 17.3 weeks :(

Hi everyone... im hoping someone can help me... I'm so scared and stressed ... Here is alittle bit i posted in my BB group

On Wednesday i went to the toilet and saw bright red blood and a clot.... ... i called DH telling him i was bleeding and we needed to go to the hospital right now... so we get to the hospital i went to the toilet and nothing was there at all... anyway seen the DR and had to have a urine sample and bt done... i got another us refferal for the next day and was sent back home... that night i had alittle more red bleeding then turned to brown... i was sure the baby was gone and didnt want to do the U/S the next day... anyway after a sleepless night we went to the u/s (seeing the same guy who done our last one the week before) i was so scared i couldnt look at the screen but he said their is babies hb (153 bpm) and omg i nearly cried.... he checked everything out again and everything looks fine said the bleed wasnt caused by the baby... i have truely never been so scared in my life
... Also before the bleed i did have cramps... i thought i just needed to go to the toilet tho

I've had no more spotting thankgod... but i dread going to the toilet , im scared ill see more blood ...I'm still so scared something is going to happen

I'm guessing its a good sign the bleeding has stopped but im just wondering has anyone had the same thing happen in the second trimester???...
    Has the bleeding came back???
Did you get answers to why it has happened???

DH and i hadnt done anything in the bedroom for abt 4 days before this happened so it wouldnt have been that

UGH it took us 5.5 years to conceive this baby i just want to enjoy the pregnancy

Oh just a little note... i have had 2 lots of brown spotting before. but only for one wipe on the toilet paper.. one at 10 weeks and one at 16 weeks... both times went to the hospital needing an anti d shot as im RH neg

Perhaps it's something else, a fibroid or something. But an US should look for those things. If they can't see anything...

People can bleed continuously through pregnancy and have a healthy baby, try not to worry as stress is not helpful. Just take it easy and practise relaxation exercises and calming breathing.

I had bleeding during my DDs pregnancy including at 20 weeks and around 24 weeks and then it settled and she was fine. I never got answers to why i was bleeding.

Hope things settle for you soon.

My cousin and my friend all had bleeding throughout their pg, both went on to have healthy full term baby boys. Both actually thought they'd lost their bubs. Just keep doing what you have been doing and keep going to the Dr for u/s and reassurances when/if you need. Sending you lots of hugs and sticky vibes

Its unbelievably scary isn't it? I had bleeding with DS1 at 15 and 17 weeks. I never found out why and he was born perfectly healthy. Huge hugs, I hope you have no more bleeding and you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Thanks so much everyone.... It's very reassuring hearing other people have had bleeding in the second trimester... Alot of sites I have googled say it's very uncommon to bleed in the second tri and is/could be very serious.... I hope it's just one of those unexplained things

I have never been so scared... And still am :-( ... I had a breakdown tonight while dh and dd were out .... I just hate the fact that I don't know why this has happened and if it's bad or not :-( and if it'll return .... Ugh ugh UGH!!!!

I am trying to relax but it's pretty much impossible.... I thought for sure I could start to relax after the first trimester

Thanks again everyone.... Your responses mean alot to me

I had bleeding from 12 weeks (literally an hour before my 12 week scan with bright red blood) and then bleeding on and off bright red blood until I was about 30 weeks. I didn't find out untli quite a way into the pregnancy that it was from a cervical polyp which I got from all the IVF treatments (or so they think, it's gone now) - so, so scary though, I know exactly how you feel. Very glad for you that everything is fine. There is a lot going on in there and so much blood flowing, but I hope you have some peace now

    Hi *nikki*

i also had a bleed with Clot at around the 18 weeks and again at 27wks and i was just as freaked out as you were. a few of the times it was becuase of bedroom activity which i have to say has been very minimal since the start becuase it was just too stressful for me even though in my mind i knew why i was getting some spotting after it it just did my head in and it was easier not to! (poor hubby lol)

but the 27 wk bleed was definatley a bleed with a BIG clot in it and it really did freak me out. in the end it was figured out i did a sneeze about 8 hours before that and it must have strained my muscles in my stomach and it must have just tore some of the lining a bit.. the OB wasnt concerned at all just said i must have a very sesnitive uterus and a lot of blood vessels down there. it is so stressful though not knowing what causes it and if everything is fine. hopefully once bub starts kicking you stronger it will be more reassuring to you if you get any more spotting. that is what i found helpful. being able to feel him still moving around.

hope your feeling better today and you have no more spotting!
