    First Aid/CPR courses for infants

Hi all, anyone know of any good first aid/CPR courses that are good in Adelaide? Thinking of doing one before bubs arrives and they say to do them before you hit third trimester so you are not so uncomfortable...

St John Ambulance run a good one but you might need to travel to Unley HQ for it unless a local division is running a course. 99% of their instructors are awesome. But I'm bias

I organized one for my mothers group (in Melbourne) and partners who were interested - we had a decent number of people...obviously after we all had babies as we didn't know each other before that. The company worked with us and took a per person fee agreed to in advance and I hosted it at my house as for some reason the council won't allow first aid training on their premises where we normally had mother's group (liability issue?). Any way, I googled around and narrowed it down based on who would come out to us and who sounded really good. St John's was on the list but you have to go to them.

One thing to keep in mind - the course is great - really worthwhile and important - but you do forget things so maybe doing it now isn't such a great idea? although, I wanted a refresher choking session when we started solids and found what i needed on youtube - wouldn't be good for the first time, but it quickly reminded me of all that I had learned during the real session.

In SA, St John will sometimes come to you if you have a group. Up to the instructor though. I ran one at a Scout Hall once and got asked to do one at a school.

I have just learnt that Target sponsors trained people to do courses. We are going to get one organized with our playgroup, young Mums etc and the best bit...........it's free.

Maybe contact Target and ask if they have a contact person in your area. I think you need about 10 per class
