Headaches - particularly at night ..

    Hi
Can somebody let me know if this is a normal pregnancy symptom - I have been having headaches every night for the last week. When I wake in the morning they are generally gone or eased enough to not really notice.

I mentioned it to my ob today and he did not comment - blood pressure is 110/60.

Should I be concerned do you think?
    Thanks, Tess.

i get the same but mine are inline with nose bleeds. doc still isnt worried bp always 100/60 lol

think its just teh added pressure on our bodies and because we are busy with other little bundles of joy or terror as it is in my house we just dont stop and rest and drink the water and eat properly well i know i dont lol

thanks Kawazuki - that makes sense. It seems to be when I finally stop for the night and try to relax the headaches start. Ho hum - I will try to get some early nights and see if that helps.

It is fairly normal to get more headaches when pg & you can take panadol for them. I'm getting headaches most nights too & it's helping me remember what NO sleep is like grrrrrr.

Agree with other ladies headaches can be fairly common during pregnancy. I've had a few but only in the earlier months rather than recently.

What I'd been told to do when I got them and it worked was to make sure that my water (liquid) intake was sufficiently high. Normally found that if I did get one (and mine were during the day rather than at night) it went away shortly after I had a drink.

    Hope this helps somewhat.

    bit late

Hi Tess, I know it's been a couple of weeks since your spoke of headaches and hopefully they have eased. Just wanted to suggest you keep an eye on your sinus'. I've had dreadful sinus since being pregnant to the point where they were very infected. The headaches are excruciating (even when asleep!) Not much doc can do apart from antibiotics and although I'm not impressed about taking while pregnant, my headaches were to the point where I wasn't functioning!! Good luck and all the best.
