yep - massage, and many sessions will help. My muscles are so tight in my shoulders that I currently need weekly sessions. You'll also need to have stretches to do at home to release the tension.
I get shoulder pain which is unbearable due to carpal tunnel syndrome which I only get when I am pregnant.
I highly recommend acupuncture. I also make sure I sleep with my hands straight rather than curled up. Just 2 weeks ago I couldn't even drive because I couldn't raise my arms to reach the steering wheel let alone move it. Since having acupuncture I haven't had any issues.
I notice my CT pains will come on when I get weakness in my hands, or my hands go numb or tingly. After that the pain will eventually come.
I hope the pain goes away for you real soon. If you can, take some pregnancy friendly pain killers (panadene forte is ok apparently... I can't take it because I am allergic to codeine)
There are also acupressure points in which I found helped too once I applied pressure. I will try to find you the link to the site I found.
Also, taking blackmores total calcium + magnesium seems to be helping me. It is apparently also good for hip/pelvis pain and for restless legs.

im not sure wha it is. It hits in waves, probly just slighty above my shouldre blade, then i feel tight across to my left breast, then the arm feels weird. Ill see my doc hopefully on monday. But i was thinking maybe try some acuptioner (sp??) or something like that. Its just killing me, silly pregancy makes your body all out of wak.
rach2281 - I have also had shoulder pain in the last week. Never had this before pregnancy! Visited a physio and he suggested weekly sessions. I will also be getting excersises to do at home.
I wasn't exactly given an answer as to WHY it's occuring though!
Hope it gets better. Definately do try massage/physio though as this will provide you with some relief.
