    Help...i'm really scared

    Hi ladies,

I am a little scared at the moment following my 12 week scan it showed up that i had a mass on my left ovary and was told that by the time i would be ready for my 18-20 week ultrasound that it should hopefully have gone....well turns out it hasn't and it is still there, and unfortunately it has grown. I opened my scan report and it has stated that i have what is called a 'complex haemorrhagic cyst' so me being me i googled it and now i wish i hadn't of, i'm so scared that something might happen during this pregnancy that will endanger my unborn baby's life. I have an appointment at 8.30am with my Dr and i am hoping she is able to put my mind at ease but in the meantime i was wondering if any of your ladies have had what i have and what was the outcome????? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading this, have a good day.

    Hi westy

I haven't had this before, but a friend of mine got a cyst on her ovary when she was pregnant with her DS. It remained there, she had a healthy pregnancy healthy baby, a year later she fell pregnant with her DD. Again the baby was healthy (even tho the cyst was STILL there). She then had her ovary removed (she only wanted 2 bubbies).

I'm not sure if it was the same type of cyst as yours, but just letting you know that there is hope! Try not to worry Stay away from google - its bad news! I hope your appointment with your ob today gives you some peace of mind.

Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy

Wishing you the best of luck, I hope your doc can give you some advice, but it will be difficult to relax...I have a different situation, but can certainly relate to how you are feeling, everyday, week that goes by I feel extremly lucky and just hope that we get to the end. Goodluck.

I had a cyst at my first scan (8 weeks), mentioned it after 2nd scan 13 weeks and doc said its a pregnancy cyst and most women get them and they dissappear. In fact it wasn't even mentioned on my report.
