Unhappy Help, painful sleeping and waking

I am 22 weeks and up until about 2 weeks ago I was sleeping great. But lately I am just so sore it's really bothering me. My shoulders ache on whatever side I sleep on as well as my hips, so I like to lay on my back. Last night I started using a body pillow and felt a bit more comfortable. But this morning I am just so bloody sore all over My whole back is just aching, my legs and hips too. I could barely walk to the toilet. Even my belly was sore and I slept mostly on my side with the pillow. I feel a little better now, but still sore.

What the heck is going on? Is this just a normal part of pregnancy at only 22 weeks?

I've been there for a couple of weeks now Ive been taking a powdered magnesium supplement (fibroplex) and having a hot shower before bed, it has helped a fair bit but I still wake up achey

Thanks Cazz Is it achey all over? Why? Why does this happen!? So many unexplained random things in pregnancy argh! I always have a shower before bed anyway, can't sleep without one. Gosh, I used to look forward to getting into my nice comfy bed and snoozing. But now I dread it because I know how painful it will be

Yeah, pregnancy sucks for me (except for the baby bit). I missed out on the whole glow thing each time. Body pillows did help a bit.

I have been sleeping with pillows for weeks now. Between my knees, under my belly and one on my back. It keeps me lined up and not leaning too far forward and too far backwards. I like to sleep on my right side and so does Boo, but now I feel like I am squashing him. I have been told its better to sleep on your left as it gives your uterus better blood flow and gives the pancreas a chance to eliminate toxins so I make sure I start off on the left hand side. Sleeping for me has been akward for ages now. I seem to get comfy then I need to go to the loo. I hobble back and forwards to it. So stiff. I used to love my bed now its a place of stress I cant sleep on my back as Boo doesnt like it.

Sounds like fun all round At least I'm not alone! It really does suck, I'm trying excercises on a yoga mat before bed, leg lifts and stretches etc. I just feel sooo stiff all the time, it'a awful. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I can't wait to get back to the gym!!
