Red face Stressing - Lack of Movement

    Morning Ladies,

I am seriously stressing at the moment. I am 24 weeks tomorrow.

Bub has been really active the past couple of weeks. Over the weekend we could see him bopping around from the outside.

Well the past couple of days he has been soooooo quiet. Last night i hardly got any movement at all out of him and am still yet to feel him this morning.

I have checked his heart beat with my doppler which sounds fine. It is down really low in my pelvis. Could this be why i havnt felt him very much lately?

Am i stressing over nothing? What do you all think?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

    Take Care,

    Prue

    Good morning!

I'm not expert on the whole movement thing but maybe try drinking a ice cold glass of water. I had a lot of cramping etc over the past few weeks and while I was in hospital if they needed they baby to move they gave me some water with ice in it and it got bubs moving.... Just a thought!

Good luck... let us know how you go!

One of my things I do to check if bubs is moving is sit down and also drink the cold water. But mainly I sit or lay and focus on my bump for a bit. Sooner or later once I stop moving she starts moving.

I think if your feeling unsure you should call your midwife or GP. I was told if your babymoves 10 times a day then it's fine and not to worry about the rest of the day.

It's easier said than done not to worry about it.
I've in previous pregnancies got checked out if i hadn't felt much movement just for my own peace of mind.

    Cheers Jac

Mrs Chunk just call your carer, or local hospital...

I am certain bubs is fine... I recall around a similar time in preg babies tend to move less as they have moved as has the placenta etc, bubs could be facing a different way...

If you can hear the heart on the doppler I'm sure bubs is fine, but for piece of mind I'd be calling to get an opinion from my care provider...

Let us know how you go...

I am not sure if this helps or not, But I too have noticed days when bubs isnt moving as much. Or at least I am not feeling it.

These days seem to come after a day of really heaving kicking .. You said bubs was busy kicking on the weekend so maybe thats why ?

I thought if the H/B is ok then surely everything is ok ?

Good luck hope bubs gives u a big big kick soon !!

I used to drink iced water or a slurpee and sit quitely for 30min-1hr.

i agree that if you are worried call your midwife/gp/ob, or go in to have monitoring?

Thanks for all your replies ladies.

Just got about 4 kicks in a row. Think he is being a naughty little boy and making mummy stress as early as he possibly can.
