    Unhappy Ultrasound today.... SOOO scared...

Well we have reached the 19th week, and I am sure the one little bubba we still have is alive and well, been moving for a few weeks now!!!!

But today we have our scan to check if bubba will also be a cleft bubba....

I know I've been there, done that, and I coped fine, and LOVE Kane to bits, and I am truely not worried for my sake, but for my poor babies sake...

I am completely stressed that if bubba is cleft affected, he/she will know I had a slightly higher risk of birthing another cleft bub, and blame me for having them, knowing they could be afflicted...

Was it fair to have another one??? It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I love every bit of Kane, but I guess I didnt stop and think how the child will feel....I am not a selfish person at all, and love having my babies...

I just pray that if we find out today bub IS affected, I can explain to my bubba how much we wanted him, cleft or no cleft....

Scan is at 2.15, so I'll be back to let all my wonderful friends know how we go...

All the best for your scan today. I would think your little one will know how loved and wanted they are for whoever they are and whatever they look like - as does Kane!

All the best today. Will be thinking of you Jodie. And always know that you love you kids cleft or not and that should have no bearing if you have another baby or not.

For what its worth every one of us is passing things onto our kids that they might not want or like, but we can be there to love and support them through what ever their own 'bundle of bits' is.

As you can hopefully see from everyones replies you and your baby are in our thoughts. Your loving attitude and streangth will be what makes the difference, and while I am hoping that you get the all clear I know no matter the outcome this child could not ask for a better home to be a part of.

    Good luck and best wishes,
    Di

blame me for having them, knowing they could be afflicted...
Your baby will never think that about a cleft palate. Everything will be fine either way darl

Obviously you have every right to be nervous though. Having had a cleft palate myself it was the only thing I could imagine coming up on that scan so was quite fixated on it too.

    Hope all has gone well.
