Unhappy How to increase energy levels.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my energy levels?

I am feeling so flat and lifeless and just so damn tired from the moment i wake up to when i go to sleep. I even have a nap around mid day when the littlies have a nap. But i just can't keep going like this. I have to take DD to school, look after 2 energetic boys plus not to mention the housework, plus other things like grocery shopping and whatever else. Then i have to go to my massage course 4 nights a week. Right now i can barely make it out of bed. I have had my iron levels checked and they're all fine so i'm not sure what else to do.

i know its hard to get your energy up when you are feeling so unenergised and what i'm about to suggest you are probably going to scream at me for lol. Sunshine always works for me, and a nice walk outside. Can you get the kids to the park or something ir down to warners bay? a nice stroll around the lake might be good. aWhatever happens, i hope you get some energy back soon xxx

Making sure you're getting an adequate iron and protein intake can help. A good breakfast and lots of snacks during the day should help. I've found things like nut bars and miso soup help me keep going. As well as gentle exercise and plenty of water (dehyration makes you slugish).

But there's also the basic fact that bub's still growing fast and needs the energy, so will drain you for it. So if you need to nap, then nap. Can you do your grocery shopping online?

Would love to go to warners bay to be honest however it takes me about an hour to get there. Theres no decent parks nearby either which is a shame. Well there's one but its right next to a busy road and i dont think it's safe. Might just have to sit in the yard for a bit to soak up some sun. When it stops raining of course.

Shopping online is a good idea.

I am going to state the obvious but look at what you are doing every week - a course, raising kids, housework, cooking, groceries.......with each of my pregnancies I have felt a little more tired too.

Eat 3 meals plus snacks through the day (as mentioned above), early nights, loads of water and think positive! I was recently told by a Belly Buddy that apples are a great wake up as i was begining to climb back on the coffee wagon. TRUE! I love apples and have atleast 1 a day now.

The other AWESOME thing to take is InLiven - check out the thread on BB for it. i swear by this product...it is magic!

Now, I am off to strip beds and put them in the wash and then sit for a bit with a quiet cuppa. ( a chore then a reward system - gets me through the day)

Can you write down everything that you eat through out the day, also make sure you note how much water you are drinking.

Is there any chance you have a food intolerance? Maybe a naturopath can help?

Also to get more sun light can you get some large pots and start a little vege garden?

I'm actually going to start a vege garden at our new house but we arn't moving for another 4 weeks. Might give the natropath a go.

Mmm i love apples too Vixstar, thanks for the tip.

I just tried to do the grocery shopping online but their next delivery isn't until next Wednesday! So i'm going to have to find the energy to do that today.

    Hi Antheia

Just wanted to say that I feel the same and am glad that you posted. Not that I have as much on my plate as you by the sounds of it :0

Hope you can get your levels up to where you need them. I know how hard it is to be your best when you are so tired

In saying that, I really should be in bed by now....

I hear you!! I am expecting no 4 too and I have found I have less energy this time around than with any of the other three. I just try to snooze whenever I can...I am lucky because my older three are at school, so after I do drop off, I will come home and have a sleep till lunch. But that tiredness just doesnt seem to back off! Snooze as much as possible, try some sustagen energy drinks, heaps of water, and leave all the housework stuff that doesnt have to be done. Our lounge room looks like a chinese laundry at the moment because I just cant be stuffed...but it will still be there tomorrow and it will get done....eventually!!

Oh I so know how you are all feeling, at the moment if I don't have a mid day nap I am falling asleep on the lounge at 8:30pm, which is not helping my nursing degree get itself done!

If anyone comes across anythign natural and ground breaking let us all know because its so hard to keep everything together when you feel like this every day!
