    Lifting (Alan?)

    Ok here i go again.

I went to ikea yesterday with a friends DH and got the set of draws that we wanted. i needed to help him lift them from his car to my lounge room (i dont know why i didnt leave it in the car post for when DH got home, and am kicking myself since)

so after i helped carry the box weighing a total of 36kg backwards up the stairs, then went and got some lunch afterward i lay down and felt a really hard lump on my right side (i think this was the baby)

I have heard that you shouldnt lift during pg, but am i going to be OK? more to the point is my baby?

I went to bed at 7 as i was stressing and thoughts it best to sleep it off rather than get into a tiss.

I have had a few pains and have felt baby kick since.

I guess im worries as when i look at Dr Google i read things like it can reduce oxygen to the baby and cause brain damage? im sure i was talking and breathing as i was carrying it. It also says that it may cause the placenta to come away?????

I think it was more of an award shape and the fact i was walking backwards up the stairs didnt help.

should i be worried? i am seeing my Dr on Monday

Don't read Dr Google... It hinders more then it helps some times...

I am not a dr, so in this is only in my personal opinion you will be ok... Try to leave the heavy lifting to someone else. . .

If it was half the weight of 36kgs, I guess thats about the weight of an average toddler & loads of pregnant women carry them around every day
If everything seems fine, then it probably is. Just try to be careful in future.

    Hi Loula
Your baby will be fine hun. 36Kg between 2 people is not that much weight. And if I hear that you have been on google again I will come round to your place, put you over my knee and slap your bun until it is bright red!!!!
