I'd at least call the hospital to see what they say.
That said, I had a lot of snot-like mucus all through my pregnancy with Amelia, about the same consistency you're describing.

*TMI* warning.
I'm in need of some advice. I'm freaking out.
Before we go any further, please know that my closest maternity hospital is nearly 150kms away. I don't drive, and DH works out of phone service at least 30-45 minutes away.
I went to the toilet earlier and did some number 2's (a bit looser than normal) after 2 very strong BHs 8 minutes apart.
I went to wipe and there was a long string of thick yellowish mucous hanging off my vagina.
It was a bit longer than my middle finger and about as thick as a $2 coin, IYKWIM. The side, not the top or bottom.
It was very hard to break apart.
Just a moment ago I passed another piece of 'snot', same tickness, unable to break apart and it was a round piece about half the size of a little finger's nail.
Should I be concerned? I'm am anyway.
I'm 21+3w, bub is moving plenty. I'm always getting tightenings, so there's nothing different there.
Sorry it's so TMI.
But i need some advice.
I'd at least call the hospital to see what they say.

It sounds like your plug BUT that isn't necessarily cause for concern. The plug can be lost and replenished, it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent. Are you still having semi regular BH's? Is there any pain to them? Or any other labour signs that are worrying you? If it were just the BH's and the plug, I'd we worried (hard not to!) but not alarmed. I would call my hospital and ask their advice, although often you'll get someone say to come in because it's easier that way and it goers the hospital. I know quite a few ladies who have lost bits of their plug throughout their pregnancy and have been fine![]()
I had the same when pregnant with DD.
Then i was losing big clumps from 33 weeks but it just kept replenishing.
If you are really concerned call the hospital
xx
I've managed to get a hold of DH and talk to him. He's adviced me to wait to see if I lose any more, or start cramping.
There's no real consistancy to my BH, they come every 10 or so minutes, give or take 5 minutes. But they've always been like that.
Bub is being a little maniac and rolling around everywhere.
My stomach has been tender for a few days, but I've been putting it down to a growth spurt and DD always climbing on me.
So, thank you very much for your advice. Any more is welcome.
I'll just keep an eye on it for a few hours.
It sucks. I want this pregnancy to be easy and worry-free.
i don't know if any pregnancy is truly easy or worry free (i reckon you must be lying or in denial if it is), but it is harder after a previous high needs pregnancy.
. Not sure if i missed it (i have been out of it lately), but have you had an ultrasound recently? Were things looking ok then?
Hope things settle down and you can get some rest today.![]()
Yep, had an ultrasound about 10 days ago. Placenta is low lying, but far enough away from the cervix.
Bub is completely healthy and normal.
Cervix was closed.
They are all good signs! Great to hear Beez tummy looked good too!
Any more BH or other signs worrying you? Do you have a local GP who you can see when you can't get t the hospital or just want to see if things are ok? My GP has a doppler and they were able to reassure me after bleeding with my DD and referred me to the hospital when they thought i needed further investigation.
There's a local midwife who is hard to get hold of.
Everything is fine in that department, no more plug.
But, I got bitten by a redback a while ago, ended up at the local hospital.
They just said 'take 2 panadol' (I've been bitten before) and call your OB.
OB was sympathetic and said that if I have any worries at all to call him straight back, but there's not much they can do. The venom shouldn't affect Beez.
If I have any massive concerns then I can travel down to town and get a CTG.
Might give my local m/w a ring later as she has a doppler, but I'm not too concerned. Just got a really sore arm.
Just keeping a eye on Beez (who is a maniac as normal).
How did you go? X
