Lilianfels Resort in the Blue Mountains is DIVINE and they offer a specialised "Babymoon" package. You would need to fly to Sydney but I promise you it's worth the trip. The Blue Mountains are heaven on earth and Lilianfels is one of the most exclusive resorts in Australia!

Google "Lilianfels" - you won't be disappointed.

BTW - Have I told you how HAPPY I am for you and Baby Tigger???!!!

Babymoon? Isn't that the first month after birth when you snuggle with and get to know your baby?

    From the Lilianfels website...

The Babymoon Package at Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa offers mums-to-be and their partners the time and services they need for total relaxation and indulgence before the baby is born.
I guess the term is also used as a "before baby" holiday.

Tiggerlinda, we went to Tasmania for 5 nights last November. I was 33 or 34 weeks pregnant from memory. It was wonderful. We hired a car and drove around the whole of Tasmania. I am from Brisbane too!

Oooohhhh when we went to Blue Mountains in December 2006, I saw this resort. We stayed elsewhere but the Blue Mountains is magnificant. Lilianfels looked awesome, will have to stay there one day for sure.

Crazy! I first read the term in a Kitzinger book, she talks of the babymoon as the all-important bonding and recovery time for the new family after the birth. I had no idea it was being used as a marketing tool too!

Yes they are marketing now, babymoon packages... I always thought it was after... like honeymoon is after the wedding... but they wouldn't make money if they were encouraging you to stay home now would they

It makes me laugh anyway - a honeymoon is AFTER the wedding, so the babymoon is AFTER the birth. If it's before the wedding it's a dirty weekend, but maybe they assume you already had one of those if you're knocked up

We are going to Moreton Island for a week. Just laying around on the beach, sounds like absolute bliss! What about Maleny / Montville? It is lovely up there. Or go even further north to Noosa or Eumundi? If you prefer to go south, Kingscliffe or Cabarita are awesome, or even to Byron Bay (my fav!).
