    More unexplained bruising

    Possible TMI
Ok so a few weeks back i had some bruising on my hips that i put down to my anemia but now i have it in my pubic region and inner thigh region which couldnt possibly be from anemia as i had my levels checked 2 days ago and they were stable. Is it worth having it checked or another gorgeous symptom of pregnancy? I havent DTD in a couple weeks so that isnt it either.
    TIA

    Hey Lauren,

I just googled bruising in pregnancy and there wasn't a huge amount. One thing did say that you should consult your Dr though, so I'd make an appointment or mention it at your next hospital appointment.

I don't think that it's anything to worry about though, remember our immune systems are slightly compromised during pregnancy so it may just be something to do with that.

    Sorry, not been much help.

    Lauren,

Before I knew I was pg i was getting major bruising on my legs and inner thighs. I had it checked out but it was unexplained, and it eventually stopped but it had me a little freaked for a while.

Hi Lauren. I get unexplained bruising all the time - more often then not it was when I was due for a period. After some blood tests my doc told me that it was something to do with my hormones, change in levels when mensturating and other "women" stuff and apparently "normal" for me (sorry, it was ages ago and I can't remember quite what he said). I still bruise quite easily, even from someone just lightly grabbing my arm (try explaining DH's finger prints on your arm at work!! ). I don't worry about it now, but I know that I did before. You may not even be aware that you are being bumped enough to bruise - I never am but often find a new bruise! I would get it checked out at your next visit anyway for your own peace of mind and to rule anything out. Maybe your just a delicate peach like me (at least that's what DH calls me!).
